Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Sean K. Robinson of Seventh-day Adventist Church officiating. Mr. Wilson was born Oct. 10, 1955, in Munich, Germany. He had lived in Amarillo since 1969. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Sartor in 1993; and his father, Virgil Phil Wilson Sr., in 2002. Survivors include his mother, Katherine Wilson of Amarillo; two sisters, Diana Hewitt and Mona Smith and husband Rick, all of Amarillo; a brother, Richard "Bruno" Wilson of Pflugerville; and numerous nieces and nephews. The body will not be available for viewing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Area Brenda White HEREFORD - Brenda White, 46, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006. Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery. Mrs. White was born Dec. 1, 1959, in Dalhart, the daughter of Vernon and Lu Etta Sherman. She married Chris White on March 11, 1989, in San Bernardino, Calif. Mrs. White was a nurse for more than 27 years and was employed with Triumph Health Care in Amarillo. She was a member of Hereford Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors include her husband, Chris of Hereford; her father and mother, Vernon and Lu Sherman of Fargo, Okla.; three sons, Kelley White of Houston and Terri White and Tracy White, both of Hereford; three sisters, Barbra Jahay of Fargo, Jean Turpen of Hereford and Becky Rausch of McClave, Colo. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Millie Elizabeth "Beth" Arganbright WHEELER - Millie Elizabeth "Beth" Arganbright, 60, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, in Houston. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Wheeler Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Stiles, pastor of First Baptist Church in Allison, officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home. Miss Arganbright was born July 22, 1945, in Wheeler to James Narville and Mazie Maurine Bean Arganbright. She attended and graduated from Wheeler High School. In 1968 Miss Arganbright graduated with a bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University in Denton. She worked as a librarian at the Amarillo Public Library from 1975 to 1984. She moved to Houston and worked in the Houston Public Library from 1984 to the present time. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, James, Mark and Bill Arganbright; and a loving sister, Laneta Arganbright. Survivors include three brothers, Alvin and Glen Arganbright of Amarillo and Carl Arganbright of Irving; two nieces; seven nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. McCraw was born Sept. 10, 1954, in Roswell, N.M., to Kenneth and Mildred Levacy McCraw. He was a truck driver for most of his working career. Hardin ARLINGTON - Monroe L. Hardin, 87, died Thursday, March 30, 2006. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Monroe was a farmer's son who grew up in Forestburg, married LaVerne Hardin on July 4, 1942, then drafted into the U.S. Army on July 24, 1942. Tours of duty were Normandy, Omaha Beach, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. In the European-African-Middle East Theater, he was awarded the Campaign Medal with five Bronze Stars and a Bronze Arrowhead and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a medic among the first wave at Normandy-Omaha Beach, D-Day in World War II. Monroe departed the U.S. Army on Oct. 16, 1945. He returned to Amarillo to wife, 3-year old daughter and unemployment. While in Paris, he noticed the hairdressers were men and thought that would be a good occupation. Monroe enrolled in beauty school (with three other men who were the first ones to attend beauty school in Amarillo) and continued a 40-year hair dressing career. He owned and operated House of Beauty in Amarillo. Monroe endured a major car wreck in 1950, which limited his mobility, but he still enjoyed hobbies of car racing, hunting, fishing and antique car restoration. He moved to Arlington in 1995 to live with his daughter. Monroe began lighter hobbies of making wood bird, bat, butterfly and squirrel houses and enjoying nature and his three dogs. He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne Hardin; brothers, Roy Hardin, Hershell Hardin, Sylvester Hardin, and Pat Hardin; and a sister, Vida Lee Hardin Holt. Survivors include a daughter, Gailon Hardin of Arlington; a brother, Earl Norman Hardin of Arlington; a grandson, Michael O'Connor of Fort Worth; a granddaughter, Carrie O'Connor Ragge of Grapevine; a grandson, Don Gordon Jr. of Arlington; and a great-granddaughter, Stephanie Gordon of Wabash, Ind.
