Mr. Alvarez was born March 19, 1933, in Monterrey, Mexico, to Alberto Alvarez and Petra Sustaita Alvarez. He married Dora Campos on June 6, 1957, in Donna. Survivors include his wife, Dora C. Alvarez of Plainview; sons, Joe Alvarez Jr., Javier Alvarez, Rolando Alvarez, John Alvarez and Armando Alvarez; daughters, Juanita Alvarez and Linda Perez; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Moditha Clark was born July 9, 1917, to John and Ada Wells, Clark at Cisco, and grew up in the Plainview area. On Dec. 24, 1939, Moditha married Kenneth Hartwell Milner. They had two sons, Kenneth Wayne Milner and Jerry Ray Milner. Moditha was a farmer's wife and spent her time working in the home and on the farm. She enjoyed being a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother and spent much of her time with her family. Moditha was known for her extraordinary sewing abilities and she loved sewing and cooking for her family and the United Methodist Women's Bazaar in Kress, where she was an active member for 33 years. During that time, she enjoyed teaching youth classes and all church activities. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wayne Clark; two sisters Florene McPherson and Leona Summerville; and her loving husband of 42 years, Kenneth Milner. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Shirley Milner of Panhandle and Jerry and Jacqueline Milner of Jasper, Mo.; four granddaughters and spouses, Tina and Gary Stocking of Woodward, Okla., Melynn and Kenneth Cross of Amarillo, Randa Milner of Liberty, Mo., and Cathy and Lt. Chad Bollocker of Germany; two grandsons, Kenneth Glenn Milner of Gatesville and Brandy Milner of Purcell, Mo.; and 13 loving great-grandchildren.
