Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church of Canyon with Dr. David Lowrie Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon and Happy. Mr. Diggs was born Feb. 22, 1915, in Wolfe City, Hunt County, to James William Diggs and Solia Muncy Diggs. Oliver attended school in Hunt County at Wolfe City and Fairlie and graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville in 1934. He received a bachelor of science degree from East Texas State Teachers College in Commerce in 1937 and a master's degree from the University of Texas in Austin. Oliver did graduate work at Texas A&M in Bryan and West Texas State College in Canyon. He received his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1955. Oliver was an educator and continued to dream about teaching long after he retired. His career spanned 40 years and included instruction in typing, math, basketball and vocational subjects. He taught at Carey, Childress County, from 1937 to 1941 and was principal at Sierra Blanca, Hudspeth County, from 1941 to 1942. Oliver left teaching for war work during World War II, working at Pantex Ordnance Plant in Amarillo from 1942 to 1943. From 1943 to 1946, he was a civilian instructor in airplane mechanics at Amarillo Air Force Base in Amarillo, Love Field in Dallas and in Denver. After the war, he taught for one year in Sweetwater from 1947 to 1948. In 1948, he returned to Amarillo, where he taught ICT at Amarillo High School for 30 years. He was teaching there when the building on south Polk Street burned down on Easter Sunday, March 1, 1970. Oliver was an honorary private of Company C, 111th Engineers, Texas National Guard from 1933 to 1941. He was a member and substitute Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church of Canyon and became a Christian when he was in the ninth grade. Oliver was a member auditor of Canyon Senior Citizens Center and enjoyed playing 88 each day. He was a member and past president of Canyon Retired Teachers Association. Oliver was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, often traveling to watch spring workouts. Oliver married Linnie Beatrice Mills on July 29, 1941, in Parnell, Hall County. He married Willie Avary Osborn on May 26, 1987, in Canyon. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Linnie in 1986; his parents, James Diggs in 1953 and Solia in 1917, when Oliver was 2 years old; three brothers, James Wilburn Diggs, Grady Diggs and Euell King Diggs; four half sisters, Josie Pilkinton, Nell Anderson, Pearl Grover and Rose Diggs; and a half brother, Spencer Diggs. Survivors include his wife, Willie; two sons, Bobby Gene Diggs of Round Rock and Billy Dean Diggs of Amarillo; a daughter, Patricia Ann Diggs of Amarillo; and a grandson, Brett Dwain Diggs and wife, Kate, of Arlington, Va. Private services and burial will take place in Connecticut. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Goodrich was born July 24, 1948, in Portland, Conn. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. Survivors include a daughter, Robann Goodrich of Glenrio, N.M.; a brother, Nelson Goodrich of Portland, Conn.; two sisters, Susan Goodrich-Willis of Glenrio and Judith Minor of Renfrew, Ontario, Canada; and his close friend, Roxann Travis of Glenrio. ================================================================= Larry M. Osage St. Mr. Northam was a very private man. His home and his family were his priority. He had a strong passion for his grandchildren and was a Vietnam veteran in the Army. Mrs. Garcia was born Nov. 7, 1958, in Amarillo to Rito and Angie Carrasco. She had been a restaurant manager for Pancho's and Taco Cabana. She had also worked at Levi Strauss. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Mosley was born Sept. 28, 1923, to Harvey Duward Crabtree and Nettie Rogers Crabtree in Sagerton. She married J.W. "Joe" Mosley in March 1940. In 1950, they moved to Amarillo where four of their seven children were born. Foy Jean and Joe were among the charter members of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church when it was organized in 1952. Each remained active in the church until prevented by failing health. With her large and extended family, her long association with the church and a network of friends acquired through employment and community institutions, Foy Jean remained a familiar and beloved presence in Amarillo throughout her long life. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1988; two sons, Bill Mosley in November 1988 and Jay Mosley in June 1997; a daughter, Kathryne Wesaw in April 1993; and two brothers, Harold Crabtree in 1948 and Carroll Crabtree in June 1980. Survivors include a son, Ben Mosley of St. Louis; three daughters, Cecelia Frazier and husband, Montie, Martha McWilliams and husband, Jim, and Leslie Childers and husband, Brent, all of Amarillo; a brother; John Crabtree and wife, Joyce, of Monahans; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was a resident of Amarillo for several years before returning to Clarendon in 1964. She graduated from Lelia Lake High School in 1954 and then from Northwest Texas Hospital School of Nursing as an RN. She worked at Northwest Texas Hospital for several years, then Adair Hospital in Clarendon, later at the Donley County Rural Health Clinic and then the Clarendon Family Medical Center. She had served on the Clarendon College Nursing Advisory Board, the Donley County Hospital District board of directors, the Donley County Senior Citizens board and with the American Cancer Society - Donley County Chapter. She worked many years as a Boy Scout Mother and was active in many areas of First Baptist Church. She married Claude Irven "Bud" Thomas on Aug. 17, 1957, in Amarillo. She had been an RN for the past 50 years. She is preceded in death by her husband on May 29, 1997; two brothers, Delbert Rampy and Don Rampy; and a sister, Jo Beth Warren. Survivors include four sons, James Thomas and wife, Marva, Gary Thomas and wife, Judy, and Arlis Thomas, all of Clarendon, and Irven Thomas and wife, Kim, of Amarillo; two sisters, Willa Bolin of Texhoma, Okla., and Janette Baumberger of Amarillo; three brothers, Troy Rampy of Santa Clara, Calif., Aubrey Rampy of Engram and Lynn Rampy of Las Cruces, N.M.; and 10 grandchildren.
