Mr. Parks was born May 13, 1933, in Hominy, Okla., to George Washington and Myrtle Torks Parks. He married his sweetheart, companion and wife of 48 years, Georgia Moore, on Dec. 28, 1957, in Clovis, N.M. Survivors include his wife; six sons, Terry Parks of Lubbock, Jimmy Parks of Eastland, Avery Parks of Dallas, Benny Parks of Edmond, Okla., Ricky Parks of Yukon, Okla., and Louis Parks of Purcell, Okla.; a daughter, Becky Villarreal of Hobbs, N.M.; five brothers; two sisters; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, May 9, 2006 Marlin Voyt Eagle PANHANDLE - Marlin Voyt Eagle, 90, died Sunday, May 7, 2006. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Sheppard, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. Mr. Eagle was born Feb. 14, 1916, in Grayson County. He was the fourth of seven children born to Marvin Davis and Ruth Elizabeth Holder Eagle. He moved with his family first to Gray County in 1926 and then to Carson County in 1929, where he grew up on a farm northwest of Panhandle. He graduated from Panhandle High School in 1935.Marlin married Opal J. Shepherd on Oct. 17, 1936. He was a proud member of the 2nd Marine Division serving in the Pacific during World War II, entering the service in 1944 and returning to Panhandle in 1946. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Panhandle and a lifetime member of the James McCaskey VFW Post No. 6972 of Panhandle.After returning home, he worked for the Midwest Implement Co. and served one term on the City Council. In 1951, he was able to return to his first love of farming. Marlin was elected Commissioner of Precinct 3 of Carson County for one term and in 1982, he retired from farming and moved into Panhandle. Mr. Salazar was born Sept. 28, 1947, in Del Rio, the son of Moises and Jovita Salazar. He married Jovita Pena on June 26, 1971, in Hereford. Mr. Salazar was a veteran, having served in the Army as a construction worker and received the National Defense Service Medal. He worked for the Excel Machinery Corp. Ltd. in the international sales division for more than 25 years and was a member of Iglesia Catolica De San Jose in Hereford. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jovita, on Nov. 11, 2005. She also ran an estate sale business and was a member of the chamber of commerce for several years. Miss Huckert was a very loving, caring and joyful woman who left a smile on the faces of the people she met. Her hobbies included decorating, camping, making floral arrangements and collecting antiques. The most important time of her life was when her son was born. She will be remembered for her love of her family and her kindness to others. She was preceded in death by a brother, Cleon Max Earle. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Mosley was born Sept. 28, 1923, to Harvey Duward Crabtree and Nettie Rogers Crabtree in Sagerton. She married J.W. "Joe" Mosley in March 1940. In 1950, they moved to Amarillo where four of their seven children were born. Foy Jean and Joe were among the charter members of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church when it was organized in 1952. Each remained active in the church until prevented by failing health. With her large and extended family, her long association with the church and a network of friends acquired through employment and community involvement, Foy Jean remained a familiar and beloved presence in Amarillo throughout her long life. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1988; two sons, Bill Mosley in November 1988 and Jay Mosley in June 1997; a daughter, Kathryne Wesaw in April 1993; and two brothers, Harold Crabtree in 1948 and Carroll Crabtree in June 1980. Private family burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Llano Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Robert was born June 17, 1923, in Amarillo and was raised here. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1941. He joined the Army Air Corps after high school and flew the "Hump" from Burma to China during World War II and completed more than 25 missions. He married Bernadine Landis in Kearney, Neb., while stationed there. They moved back to Amarillo after his discharge from the military in 1945, and he worked as a mail window clerk for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement in 1972. She was a lifetime member of the church, and was very active in the Guadalupanas. She also attended Cursillo. Amelia enjoyed visiting with her brothers and sisters on the phone. She was a kindhearted person, caretaker to all and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lupe Preciado; a brother; and a sister. Amarillo Globe-News, May 9, 2006 Margaret Blanche Strother Williams Margaret Blanche Strother Williams, 80, of Amarillo, formerly of Stinnett, died Thursday, May 4, 2006. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Stinnett Cemetery in Stinnett with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Borger, officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Williams died Thursday in Amarillo after a brief illness. Mrs. Williams was born Oct. 12, 1925, in El Paso to Hiram and Blanche Meredith Strother. She spent her childhood in West Virginia before coming to Stinnett, graduating from Stinnett High School in 1945. Margaret married Edgar Verne Williams in Stinnett in 1950. They owned and operated the Gulf service station there. She also worked for the ASCS office in Stinnett, where she worked with many farmers in the region. Margaret and Edgar were active ham radio operators with friends around the world. She was also a member of Eastern Star for many years. After her husband's death in 1996, Margaret moved to the Continental Retirement Center in Amarillo. She later lived at the Harrington Assisted Living Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and three brothers, Lloyd, Charles and Frederick Strother. Survivors include a son, Henry Williams and wife Susie of Eagle, Wis.; a daughter, Leanna Cole and husband Stephen V. of Amarillo; a brother, Paul Strother and wife Frances of Nederland; grandchildren, Amy Williams and Di of Austin and Shawn Williams and Krista of Waukesha, Wis.; a cousin, James W.
