Entombment was in Llano Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements were by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Moores was born March 8, 1930. Survivors include her husband, Rich Moores of Amarillo; a daughter, Heather Moores Bennett and husband Col. Drew A. Bennett, USMC; and a granddaughter, Alexandra Bennett. ============================================================== Thomas Andrew "Andy" Keller Thomas Andrew "Andy" Keller, 62, of Amarillo died Thursday, May 11, 2006. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. today in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with the Rev. Ken Keller officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Andy was a lifetime resident of Amarillo, with stints working at Disneyland and in Tucson, Ariz., added to a varied resume. He was a gentle soul with few enemies and a long list of patrons for his advice and yarns. His passion was knowledge, be it wine, politics or the crossword puzzle, and he pursued each with a fervor. We will miss "Asking Andy" for advice and welcome your story and his touch on your life. As far as survivors, Andy would say, "Some people checked out earlier and some are still left." The family suggests memorials be to a charity of choice. ============================================================== Ruby Lea Pollan Ruby Lea Pollan, 73, of Amarillo died Thursday, May 11, 2006. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Steve Nelson of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be private. Mrs. Pollan was born May 8, 1933, in Carter County, Okla., to Brady Jasper and Margie Alice Garrett Emmons. She graduated from Vernon High School in 1950 and went on to attend business college. She married the love of her life, Ron, on Sept. 3, 1950, in Vernon. She was actively involved in all aspects of the various family businesses and endeavors, from bookkeeping and accounting, to being a supportive business partner, prayer warrior and pastor's wife. Her most important life's work was that of homemaker to the family she cherished, however she was a woman of many talents. One of her great passions was art. A gifted and talented artist, Mrs Pollan had a wonderful ability to teach others. As a creative cook, she took great pride in planting an herb garden each spring with her daughters to add that special touch to all of her homemade delights. Mrs. Pollan was loved by all that were blessed enough to know her. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Alice Marie Long and a brother, Brady Don Emmons. Survivors include her husband, Ron Pollan of Amarillo; two daughters, Margie Ruth Sofijczuk and husband Michael and Queena Harvey and husband Barry, all of Amarillo; a son, Clifford "Buddy" Paul Pollan of Amarillo; a sister, Mary Ellen McAbee of Garland; three brothers, Willie Emmons of Rowlett, Bobby Emmons of Cumby and Jerry Emmons of Greenville; a grandson, Noel Gene Scribner; a great-grandson, Jacob Henry Scribner; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special companion, Baby, her poodle. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Tovar was born April 10, 1950, in Groesbeck to the home of Charlie Ellis and Magdalena Gallardo. She had lived in the community for more than 26 years, and was a member of the Church of God of The First Born. She married Alfredo Penalber on May 4, 2000, in Hereford. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her father on Nov. 22, 1977; a son, Paul Tovar on May 1, 2001; a brother, Jose Cruz Ellis; and a sister, Amanda Caldera. Survivors include her husband Alfredo Penalber; five daughters, Mary Tovar and Yolanda Tovar, both of Arlington, Rebecca Tovar of Hereford, Teresa Tovar of Oklahoma City and Ester Tovar of Abilene; three sons, Elias Tovar and Steve Tovar, both of Amarillo, and Simon Tovar of Hereford; and her mother, Magdalena Gallardo of Amarillo. She was a Dumas resident since 1951 and a graduate of Texas Tech College. On June 10, 1947, she married Elmer Snyder in Lubbock. He preceded her in death in 1992. She was also preceded in death by a son, Randy Snyder in 1958; and a brother, Judge E. Sandusky in 2004. Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Snyder and wife Paula of Dumas and Ronny Snyder of Reading, Pa.; two grandsons, Brad Snyder and Scott Snyder, both of Dumas; a brother, Gerald Sandusky of Bronte; and several aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.
