Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers. Veta was born Aug. 1, 1934, in Lelia Lake. She married George Bedard on Dec. 2, 1969, in Las Vegas, N.M. Veta was a homemaker and had lived in Amarillo for the last five years. She was a member of Olsen Park Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Bedard, in January 2001. Survivors include three sisters, Jo Graham and Thelma Usrey, both of Amarillo, and Betty Gideon of Houston; a brother, Jess Usrey of Amarillo; and 12 nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Zilka Marie Dorrough, 94, of Amarillo left this world Wednesday, May 17, 2006, to join our Lord in Heaven and to reunite with all of her loved ones. Marie was born April 17, 1912, in Hollis, Okla., to Ira and Mary Kirby. She married Earlon Brewer in 1940, in Clovis, N.M. He was killed in Sicily in 1943 defending our country. She married Ray Dorrough in 1953 in Lubbock. He died in 1995. Marie was a homemaker who loved to have her friends and family around her. She loved going to church and praising the Lord. She loved to play spinner or dominoes with George and Marie and Betty and Bob after prayer meeting. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church for more than 35 years. She was always joking and fun to be around. Her smile was contagious. She will be missed by many. Many thanks to the staff and nurses at Heritage convalescent home for the love and care she received the two years she was there. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; five sisters, Amy, Olvie, Dovie, Jo and Vina; and four brothers, Clyde, Bill, Lambert and Leonard. Mrs. Faubion was born in Clarendon, Texas, and had lived in Amarillo for 61 years. She married John Faubion on Nov. 2, 1940. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2002. They had been married for 61 years. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed her work in her church. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband in their RV and spending summers on their property in Eagle Nest, N.M. Mrs. Faubion was very dedicated to her husband, children, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two children, Wallace and John Thomas Faubion; her parents, Wallace and Kelly Dee Thomas; three brothers, Charlie, T.S. and Milford Thomas; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Francis Thomas, Clarence Faubion, Geneva Faubion, Paul Faubion, Maxine Faubion, W.J. Mr. Rierson was born July 1, 1975, in Pampa to Randy and Shirley Peoples Rierson. He worked in Portales, N.M., for eight years, where he met the love of his life, Linda Flores. They were married on Aug. 9, 2003, in Clovis. Mr. Rierson loved the outdoors, fishing and going to Red River, N.M. He also restored old cars and enjoyed working with model cars. He was a Catholic. He will be forever missed and loved by all but will be seen in Heaven again. Amarillo Globe-News, May 19, 2006 David E. Kincaid David E. Kincaid, 65, formerly of Amarillo and Sherman, died Monday, May 15, 2006, in Beaumont, Calif. A military funeral will be in Beaumont. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. David was born Oct. 30, 1940, in Sherman, Grayson County, to Clayton and Ona Mae Kincaid. He attended Robert E. Lee Elementary School, Sherman High School and Amarillo High School. In 1959 David joined the U.S. Navy and served on the carrier USS Oriskany. After his discharge he married Sandra Romburg of California on May 7, 1964, in Clayton, N.M. After moving to Orange County, Calif., David worked in the retail grocery trade until his retirement in 1996. After retirement David and Sandra moved to Big Bear Lake California to a more rural setting. They involved themselves in the community, particularly in "Meals On Wheels." David liked visiting people so his route may have been a little slower than others. He would have brought pleasure along with the meals. He and Sandra had three sons, Scott, 39, Jeffery, 37, and Matthew, 34. Amarillo Globe-News, May 19, 2006 Carl Dudley Beauchamp DUMAS - Carl Dudley Beauchamp, 81, died Tuesday, May 16, 2006. Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Wagoner, former pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating, and the Rev. Beth Harrington, pastor of First United Methodist Church, assisting. Burial was in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Beauchamp was born Oct. 12, 1924, in Moore County. He married Helen Louise Wells on Dec. 19, 1945. Carl was the third generation of the H.A. Beauchamp pioneer family who came to Moore County in 1896 from Jacksboro. Carl's parents were Marvin Quinton Beauchamp (known as Mutt) and Verdie Leota Beauchamp. His brothers, Howard and Lloyd, are both deceased. During his childhood, Carl helped with all chores on his parents' farm and ranch. He entered farming and ranching after his graduation from high school. He owned and operated 3,000 acres of grassland, 400 acres of dry land farm and l,500 acres of irrigated farmland. The crops raised included wheat, corn, grain sorghum and seed milo. Carl was running stocker cattle at the ranch. He personally traded commodities in his home office and marketed the products grown on the farm. During 1960-1962, Carl served as delegate to Austin to meet with the Texas Legislature for the purpose of exempting gas companies from being public utilities. Buck Buchanan introduced the bill in 1962, which was passed. Diamond Shamrock promptly created Emerald Gas Co. to serve the farmers. This created the opportunity for farmers to operate utilizing irrigation at a reasonable price. Therefore, thousands of wells were drilled through the Panhandle. He was a board member from 1973-2006 of the Soil and Water Conservation Service. He was recognized at the state convention in 2005 for his service; board member of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation (ASCS) community committee from 1970-1979 and the county committee from 1979-1988; board member of the Dumas Co-Op Board of Directors from 1968-1989, serving as secretary and vice chairman; board member of the Moore County Appraisal District Board (originally called the Tax Evaluation committee), receiving 30 years of service. He began his service on this board when the name was changed approximately 28 years ago; he was serving as chairman. He was a board member of the chamber of commerce, making numerous contributions to the Moore County Centennial Celebration, served as chairman of the Capital Stock Fundraising Committee, personally responsible for raising 99 percent of $22,000 made. He worked on the drama, Kids' Day in the Park, dances, stadium slat sales and won the "ugliest" beard award. He was a silent co-worker to Helen, the general chairperson and responded whenever an extra job needed to be done. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, joining in 1937. He served on numerous committees being the administrative board, serving as vice president of the Board of Trustees, Finance Committee, chairman of Fundraising for Sanctuary Renovation, Building Committee, Board of Trustees, chairman of the Buildings and Grounds Committee and Memorial Committee. He was on the Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Center committee from 1980 to 2006. He worked on fundraising to build the center, receiving an "Outstanding Achievement Award" for his efforts. He assisted with every major fundraiser for 21 years. He was a board member of the Boy Scouts of America from 1983-2006, being on the Golden Spread Council Executive Board. He received the "Century Member Award." Throughout the years, Carl was active in other various organizations including Moore County Farm Bureau serving as president in the 1950s; United Way for Moore County, serving as a fundraiser for the farm division numerous times and a member of the Harrington Regional Medical Center Inc. In 1992, he received the Joyce Dillow Heritage Award. In 1993, he and his wife, Helen, were named Citizens of the Years. They were also named "Old Timers of the Year." In 2002, he was named "Farmer of the Year." Survivors include his wife, Helen of Dumas; two daughters, Carlene Beauchamp and Paula Gibson and husband Lee of Dumas; three grandchildren, Braden, Brett and Katie Gibson; and his faithful dog and companion, Ginger. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hereford for 45 years, where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a past president of the United Methodist Women's Group. She was also a member and past president of the Hereford Study Club, a member of Hereford Senior Citizens for 20 years, and a member of the Hereford Cattlewoman's Association, was a troop leader in the Campfire Girls, and played in a 42 club for more than 40 years. Mildred and Shirley loved spending time traveling the world together. She was preceded in death by three brothers; and two sisters. David Marion Guinn was born Feb. 25, 1953, to James Theodore Guinn, Jr. and Mona Jean Luttrell Guinn in Pampa. He passed from this life into life everlasting on May 17, 2006, at the age of 53 years, 3 months, 17 days. He lived and attended school in White Deer, and graduated from high school in 1971. He moved to Austin and attended the University of Texas, graduating May 31, 1977, with a degree in business administration. He went to work for IBM Corp., working until his illness forced him to take medical retirement. In 1989 and 1990 he was a member of the 100% Club and was a top salesman for IBM as long as he was an active salesman. David married his high school sweetheart, Debbie Allen, on June 9, 1973, in Skellytown, and they made their home in Austin. To this union was born Jacob Ashton and Alicia Renee', the pride and joy of David's life. He loved his wife and two children with all his being. David and Debbie were members of Hyde Park Baptist Church for many years where they taught in the children's department. David was ordained a deacon in Hyde Park Baptist Church on April 2, 1989, where he served his Lord faithfully. For the past four years they have been active members of Hill Country Bible Church Northwest. David and Debbie continued to serve the Lord and church, having a Real Life Group meet in their home even up to the present. David had a passion for hunting, fishing, snow skiing and all sports. One of his greatest joys was watching Jacob and Alicia playing soccer. Before he was diagnosed with MS, he was a very active athlete. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, Austin Hospice, Moms in Touch and Real Life Group for their support. He was preceded in death by both parents.
