Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Polk Street United Methodist Church Chapel with the Rev. Rusty Dickerson of St. Paul United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Anna was born Feb. 12, 1928, in Amarillo to Thomas Edward and Nora Lee Oliver Nelson. She grew up in the Wolflin neighborhood and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1946 and attended Amarillo College. She was a homemaker. Anna was a founding member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She enjoyed painting, entertaining, traveling and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992; and a brother, the Rev. Tommy Nelson. Survivors include two sons from her first marriage, John Cameron of Paris, France, and Michael Cameron and wife Loree of Marysville, Wash.; a stepdaughter, Jill Baker-Harris of Las Vegas, N.M.; and two grandchildren, Michael T. Cameron and Juliana Cameron, both of Marysville. The family suggests memorials be to World Vision, P.O. Amarillo Globe-News, May 20, 2006 Christine "Chris" Poole Christine "Chris" Poole, 79, of Amarillo died Thursday, May 18, 2006. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street with Bishop Brock Lovett of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Christine "Chris" Osborne Poole, was born on March 11, 1927, in Bellview, N.M. of loving parents, Edmond and Bessie Lewis Osborne. Both preceded her in death. She married her soul mate and the love of her life, Walter E. Poole, in 1949. Walter retired from the city of Amarillo. He preceded her in death. Chris worked for Balfour High Plains Optical for five years and B&L Optical for 11 years. Her life was always centered around her family. She was known by the name of "Granny" to her eight grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She always kept the doors open and welcome. Her home was always filled with love. Her strength and determination was a great comfort to her family. She endured her cancer with such courage that it strengthened her whole family. We wish to express special thanks to Dr. C. Hayhurst who treated her like his Granny; to Dr. Jones who lifted her spirits; to Stacy, her beloved hospice nurse, who cared so much. Survivors include two daughters, Sharren Giles and husband Clarence of Mesquite and Marilyn Giles Howland and husband Ron of Amarillo; and all those that have meant so much to her.
