Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Morrison Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel in Dumas with Tom Moore, longtime family friend from Dumas, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Dumas. Mr. Graham was born March 25, 1930, in Comanche, Okla. He was appointed mayor of Cactus in 1952 and served 14 consecutive terms. He and his partners purchased the Cactus Ordnance Plant in 1965. In 1977, he started Tri-County Bail Bond. He married Wanda Harrah on Aug. 5, 1982, in El Paso. He had been a Moore County resident since 1948. He was a operator for Phillips Petroleum from 1948 until 1982. Survivors include his wife; a son, Howard Graham and wife Cindi of Borger; a daughter, Theresa Stafford and husband Eddie of Keyes, Okla.; a stepson, Gary Carter of Irving; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Langford was born Aug. 22, 1916, in Van Zandt County. She met W.F. "Bill" Langford while playing basketball, and they married on Dec. 23, 1934, in Grand Saline. He preceded her in death in 1984. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1943, and she worked for First Baptist Church in the nursery for 48 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Senior Adult I Sunday School Class. Her parents moved to the Texas Panhandle when she was 3 years old. She started to school at Houselog and also attended Nickelson and Ramsdell schools in Collingsworth County. Later, she attended Wheeler and Briscoe schools in Wheeler County, graduating from Briscoe in 1938. Mrs. Rogers was a graduate of Northwest Texas School of Nursing in 1942. She was in the Army and Air Force Nursing Corps from 1942 to 1945. Vera married Joe D. Rogers of Tulia in 1942. He died in 1998. She was also preceded in death by a son, Neil Weston Rogers in 1979. Mrs. Rogers was a school nurse for North Wheeler County Schools for 11 years. She worked as an office nurse for Dr. L.C. Barbour for 22 years, retiring in 1988. She lived in Wheeler for 50 years. In October 1998, Vera moved to Wellington, where she was a member of First United Methodist Church, Lidia Group of First United Methodist Church and her beloved art class. He had been a resident of Canadian for more than 30 years before moving to Dumas eight months ago. He was a mechanic for Northern Natural Gas for more than 43 years. After retiring from Northern Natural Gas, he worked as a consultant for Panda Resources for 10 years. He married Launa Emler on May 31, 1952, in Clovis, N.M. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Canadian. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St. Mr. Rodgers was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Wilbarger County to Maj. Emmitt and Lena McKinney Rodgers. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946, being stationed in the Philippines. After returning from the war, he married Norma Gene Bills. They had five children. She preceded him in death in 1995 after 49 years of marriage. Luther had a very full life. He was a career letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. He was an active member of the NALC Union, serving in many offices including the retiree representative after his retirement from the post office. He was a member and served on the board of directors at the Amarillo Postal Employees Credit Union. He was the presiding president at the time of his death. He was also active in the VFW Post 1475 and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Luther loved to fish, dance, travel and spend time with his family. He was always telling jokes and sharing stories. He was highly respected by his colleagues and will be remembered as hardworking. He married his friend and companion, Sue George in December 2005. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Rotan to Samuel and Nellie Pullen Marr. She married Craig Johnson in Lubbock on Nov. 18, 1941, and they moved to Canyon in 1954. She received her bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and her master of education at West Texas State University. She taught English and reading at Canyon Junior High for 29 years and was a member of NEA, TSTA, AAUW, CRTA and the Sue Hite Study Club. She was also a member of University Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986. Amarillo Globe-News, May 24, 2006 Elsewhere Ola Gladman COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Ola Gladman, 82, died Friday, May 19, 2006. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mountain View Mortuary. Mrs. Gladman was born Oct. 8, 1923, in Artesia, N.M., to Jackson Baltimore Summers and Annie Ethel Wylie Summers. When she was 3 months old, the family moved to Crosbyton, Texas, where they lived for the next three years. At that time, they moved to a farm south of Dimmitt, Texas, where they lived for the rest of her childhood. Ola graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1940. She later attended Draughon's Business College in Lubbock, Texas. After the beginning of World War II while going to school in Lubbock, she married her high school sweetheart, Jack Gladman. They were married Feb. 27, 1943. Jack was stationed aboard a ship which was based out of Norfolk, Va. Ola moved to Norfolk and lived for 2 years and worked at the Naval hospital. When the war was over, Jack and Ola returned to Dimmitt, where they owned and operated a bakery for seven years. They then moved to Amarillo, Texas, to work with American Bakeries Co. While in their employment, Jack was transferred to Chicago, then New Orleans and back to Amarillo. While living in Amarillo, Ola worked for 21 years at St. Anthony's Hospital and retired in 1985. She was the director of the personnel department at the time of her retirement. After retirement, Ola and Jack traveled in a motor home working with the Sojourners, a Church of Christ mission. Jack died in 1993. Two years later, in 1995, Ola moved to Colorado Springs. This move was made because of her health problems and a desire to be near her daughters. Survivors include two daughters, Trellis Moore and Lezlie Teter, both of Colorado Springs; a son, Dr. J. Craig Gladman of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
