Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Llano East Cemetery with John Love, pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church, officiating. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Home, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Hadden was born May 6, 1964, in Chicopee, Mass. She moved to Cairo, N.Y., in 1966 then later to Amarillo in 2005. In her short time in Amarillo she has met many friends and has grown to love the area. She was a homemaker and an excellent cook. Mrs. Hadden felt that her greatest achievement was her five children. She looked forward to attending weekly services at Trinity Fellowship. Mrs. Hadden was a loving wife and mother and will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband, Steuben Hadden; four sons, Seth Winn and Joshua Winn, both of Albany, N.Y., and Nicholas Hadden and Alexander Hadden, both of Amarillo; a daughter, Megan Winn of Cairo; a sister, Linda Ballard and husband George of Virgina; a brother, Chip Rubin of Cairo; and six nieces and nephews. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Barnwell. Mrs. Weichselbaum volunteered wherever she was needed and was an active participant in the Ladies Circle mission activities and Meals on Wheels. She moved to Amarillo in 2004 to be with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1968; a sister; and two brothers. Mrs. Travis was born May 25, 1916, in Hot Springs, Ark. She married Floyd John Travis Sr., in December 1954 in Clovis, N.M. He preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 1956. She had been a resident of White Deer Since 1940. She was a member of the White Deer Chapter and the Panhandle Chapter No. 760 Order of the Eastern Star for 41 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of White Deer for 56 years, where she worked as a nursery attendant for many years. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Orr, on May 23, 2002. Frances Huddle Haworth, 87, died Wednesday, May 31, 2006, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Boren, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in The Garden of Love in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Haworth was born April 14, 1919, in Lambert, Okla. She moved to Borger in 1947 and lived there until she moved to Amarillo in 2002. She married John E. Haworth on March 14, 1946, in Alva, Okla., and he preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 2001. She attended Northwestern State University in Alva, Okla., obtaining a degree in home economics in 1942. Frances taught high school in the states of Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. She taught home economics, English and speech/theater. Frances was a member of First United Methodist Church in Borger where she was very active. She was a Bible teacher for youth Sunday school classes as well as other groups within the church and was involved with the United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Haworth; a sister, Doris Croxton; and two brothers, William Huddle and Merle Huddle. Survivors include two sons, Mark Haworth and wife Nan and Kirk Haworth and wife Linda, all of Amarillo; and six grandchildren, Carmen Haworth, Sunny Strickland and husband Cody, Lindsay Haworth, Cullen Haworth, Christy Haworth and Shawn Haworth. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church in Wheeler with the Rev. Bill Stiles, pastor of Allison Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home, Mrs. Nash was born May 15, 1909, in Durant, Okla., to Walter and Alice Rambo. Mrs. Nash was the sixth of eight children. Mrs. Nash taught school one year at Corn Valley near Wheeler and 11 years in Oklahoma. For a short time she lived and taught in Spearman. She continued her teaching career in Wheeler until she retired. She married Harold Nash in 1939. He died in 1996. Mae was very involved in First United Methodist Church, Wednesday Study Club, and numerous civic and school activities. Survivors include a son, Garth and wife Zandra Nash of Phoenix; a daughter, Marilyn Nash of Phoenix; two grandsons, Brett Nash of Phoenix and Brannon and wife Cristy of Midland; a great-grandson, Chase Isaac Nash of Midland; 17 nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law. Amarillo Globe-News, June 2, 2006 Floyd Holt Richards DALHART - Floyd Holt Richards, 91, died Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with Rodney Weatherly, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home. Floyd Holt Richards was born March 8, 1915, in Dalhart to B. N. and Clara Wood Richards. Mr. Richards was raised in Dalhart and after he graduated form Dalhart High School, he received his degree from Texas Tech and his post law degree from The University of Texas. Mr. Richards was county attorney before World War II began. During WWII he served in the U.S. Air Force and received many medals including the Silver Star. He flew more than 40 combat missions before returning to Dalhart in 1945. Floyd Holt Richards married Novelyn Holloway in April 1944 in Barksdale Field, La. They returned to Dalhart where Mr. Richards served the Dalhart community as district attorney, county attorney and private practice attorney. He was involved in the community at every level, from service clubs like the Rotary Club to being vice president of the chamber of commerce. He was an active member of First Baptist Church and will be remembered by his family and friends for his quick wit, great sense of humor, and his love for life, family and friends. A close friend commented when he heard Floyd Holt had died, "Dalhart just lost a great asset, neighbor and confidant." He was preceded in death by his wife, Novelyn; his parents; two brothers; and a sister. Survivors include two sons, Mark Richards of Amarillo and Jim Richards of Miami, Fla.; and a granddaughter, Drs. Reagann and Jon McCreary of Indianapolis.
