Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at 4817 Crockett St. with John Love, pastor of Trinity Fellowship, officiating. Family and friends are welcome. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Ronald "Ron" Howland was born Jan. 3, 1948, in Conneaut, Ohio, to loving parents, Neil and Vera Howland. Both preceded him in death. Ron married Marilyn Giles in December 1994. He was employed by Terminix. Ron was an awesome salesman and would never give up on his customers. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Jennifer Howland-Pereida and Christina Hollabaugh and husband James; a daughter by marriage, Marla Hinsley and husband Mike; three sons by marriage, Marty Giles, Mike Giles and wife Kim and Marc Giles and wife Dottie; a sister, June Hensel of Ohio; two brothers, David and Donnie Howland of Pennsylvania; 28 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Morton Memorial Cemetery in Morton with the Rev. Jim Green of Lubbock officiating. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church in Bovina. Arrangements are by Blackwell Funeral Home. Mrs. Eubank was born Jan. 5, 1907, in Greenville to Edward D. and Sarah E. Weston Courtney. She married Gilbert Eubank on July 12, 1925, in Slaton. He died June 4, 1973. She moved to Bovina in 1957 and worked in the Bovina school cafeteria for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bovina and the Bovina Senior Citizens. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Beth in 1948; and two sons, Raymond in 1997 and Carroll in 2004. Survivors include two sons, Ben Eubank of Tatum, N.M., and Clyde Eubank of Hereford; two daughters, Betty Locy of Kimberly, Wis., and Shirley Wright of Coalinga, Calif.; a sister-in-law, LaFern Jerigan of Lubbock; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Marion Elizabeth Jones was born June 28, 1929, in Roy, N.M., to James E. and Maxie Kirk Cline. She graduated high school in 1948. Marion married her best friend and love of her life, W.R. Jones, on April 5, 1948, in Cheyenne, Okla. Mrs. Jones worked as a dietitian for Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Marion enjoyed following local sports, but what she loved most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Betty Jackson. Survivors include her husband, W.R. Jones; a daughter, Fran Hutcherson and husband Jim of Dumas; three sons, W.R. Jones Jr. and wife Sue of Fort Worth, Wayne Jones of Dumas and Tommy Jones and wife Marci of Amarillo; an aunt, Eva Wilson of Dumas; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Shady Grove Cemetery in Winnsboro with the Rev. Gene Wilborn officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Directors. Woodrow Salmon was born Sept. 28, 1913, in Como to Edward Patrick and Birtha Holland Salmon. He married Wilma Naomi Mills on Oct. 9, 1938, in Winsboro. She preceded him in death on June 7, 1998. Mr. Salmon worked in the oil field as a tool pusher and a driller. He was also preceded in death by four brothers; four sisters; a son, Doug Salmon; and a granddaughter, Sally Salmon. Survivors include two granddaughters, Topsy Wright of Shamrock and Terri Farabee of Wichita Falls; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, June 9, 2006 Canyon Sherry Hendricks McDowell Sherry Hendricks McDowell, 70, of Canyon died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Assembly of God Church with Terry Callis, pastor, and the Rev. Billy Nickell, pastor of First Assembly of God Church in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Sherry Hendricks McDowell was born April 16, 1936, in Hardeman County to Lewis and Lettie Leonard Hendricks. She attended Norwalk Elementary School in Norwalk, Calif., and Quanah public schools, where she graduated in 1954. After high school graduation, she worked two years at the ASC office in Quanah before entering West Texas State University in 1956. She received her bachelor of business administration degree in 1960. She worked in the Randall County District Clerk's office until September 1966, when she began her teaching career in Happy High School. She retired after teaching 26 years and worked as part-time secretary at the Assembly of God Church in Canyon for nine years before fully retiring. She led student groups to Europe in '75, '76, '78, '80, '82, '84, and '88. She returned to London in '93 and toured Brazil in '98. She was a member of TSTA, TBEA, TAJE and CRTA. In 1991, she was awarded a lifetime membership in Texas Association of Journalism Educators for her work as yearbook advisor. In 1993, she was named Taylor Publishing Co.'s yearbook advisor of the year. She was a member of Canyon First Assembly (joined in 1957). Survivors include her husband, Aubrey McDowell; two sons, Bobby Lee McDowell of Canyon and Jeffrey Lewis McDowell and wife Charlie of Missouri City; two granddaughters, Haley Marie and Samantha Nicole McDowell of Missouri City; a sister, Zonell Dickerson of Canyon; and many nieces and nephews. Capps CLOVIS, N.M. - Gracy G. Capps, 85, of Pocahontas, Iowa, died Saturday, June 3, 2006, in Pocahontas.
