Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Amarillo South Church with Gail Beck, Michael Arndt and Todd Bentley officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Roy was born May 25, 1972, in Portage, Wis., to Evelyn and Rodney Castellion. He graduated from Wautoma High School in 1990 where he was a three-sport varsity letter winner throughout his high school career. Roy went on to play collegiate football as a wide receiver at Hartnell College in Salinas, Calif., from 1991 to 1993. Roy was recruited by West Texas A&M University in Canyon, where he finished out his collegiate football career as wide receiver and received scholar/athlete honors from 1994 to 1996. Roy received his Bachelor of Science from West Texas A&M University in 1997. In 2000, Roy graduated from Elon College in North Carolina with a master's of physical therapy. Roy had worked as a physical therapist for the past six years with extensive experience in sports medicine. Roy currently worked for Accolade Home Health Care as a physical therapist and was co-owner of Athletic Edge. Roy was an inspired Christian who attended Amarillo South Church. Roy married Kristen Bentley on July 25, 1998, in Amarillo. Roy was a loving husband, passionate and energetic daddy, devoted brother and friend and more importantly a child of God. Roy's heroic battle with cancer ended victoriously as he was welcomed home by our faithful Father in heaven. The celebration has begun! Survivors include his wife, Kristen of Amarillo; two daughters, Kinsley and Madyson Castellion, both of Amarillo; his father, Rodney Castellion of Wisconsin; a brother, Steve Castellion of North Carolina; three sisters, Laura Sobieski and Shelly Schmidt, both of Wisconsin, and Cheri Cullen of California; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Charlene Bentley of Amarillo. "Woody" Hopkins, 45, of Amarillo died Monday, June 19, 2006. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery with Bob Thomas, chaplain of Odyssey Health Care, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Ora B Tomlinson was born April 3, 1907, to Maud Calloway Golden and Taylor Golden in Bosque County. She married Floyd Tomlinson on Aug. 18, 1926. They moved west of Canyon in 1926. They were happily married for 63 years, until his death on May 15, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers; four sisters; and an infant great-grandchild. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Demos was born Jan. 19,1951, in Rapid City. He had been a Borger resident since 1998, moving here from Bartlesville, Okla. He received his B.S. degree in civil engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. He was maintenance and clean fuels supervisor for Conoco Phillips and was a Lutheran. His passions were his family, photography, Corvettes, golfing and teasing people. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Demos. Survivors include his wife, Shari Demos of Borger; three daughters, Alyssa Demos of Las Vegas, Anthea Demos of Austin and Chloe Demos of Canyon; a brother, Robert G. Demos and wife Lynda of Phoenix; and a sister, Karen Schussler and husband Louie of Phoenix. Dawson ARLINGTON - Dr. Jerry F. Dawson, 72, died Saturday, June 17, 2006. A service of worship and celebration honoring the life of Jerry F. Dawson will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Arrangements are by Brown's Memorial Funeral Home. Dr. Jerry F. Dawson, former president of East Texas Baptist University, passed away Saturday, June 17, after a long battle with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases. Dr. Dawson was born Dec. 28, 1933, in Borger to Frank and Nell Lena Gibson Dawson. He graduated from Borger High School in 1952 and surrendered his life to the Christian ministry while a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Borger. He married his high school sweetheart, Margie Jo Clements, in 1952 and they have celebrated their life in ministry together for nearly 54 years. Dr. Dawson earned his BA degree with special distinction from Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss., in 1956. His education continued as he earned his master's and Ph.D. degrees in modern European history at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Dawson also received honorary doctoral degrees from both the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Dallas Baptist University, where he served as interim chief executive officer from 1987 to 1988. During a preaching and pastoral ministry of 50 years, Dr. Dawson pastored churches in both Mississippi and Texas and served as the interim pastor of 80 churches in Texas between the years 1960 and 2000, including International Baptist Church of Stuttgart, Germany, in 1988. Dr. Dawson was a member of Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Dr. Dawson's career in education spanned four decades beginning in 1961 at Wayland Baptist College in Plainview, where he was head of the history department. In 1968 he joined the faculty of Texas A&M University, and in 1971 became Dean of the Graduate School and professor of history at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. From 1976 until 1985, Dr. Dawson served as president of East Texas Baptist University in Marshall. From 1985 until his retirement in 1997, he was the director of the Christian Education Coordinating board of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. His family is proud of his many accomplishments and publications, including "Elmer and The Peas and Other Dawsonisms" and "Pray Without Kidding." He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Barbara Jean Haas. Survivors include his wife Margie of Arlington; two sons, Kim and wife Sharon of Mansfield and Carey and wife Kathryn of Carrollton; a daughter, Jamie Barksdale and husband Steven of Athens; nine grandchildren, Cara and husband Ben Reeser, Courtney, Brandy, Emily and Zachary Dawson, Dawson and Darby Barksdale, Michael Hogan and James Bauserman; three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Alyssa and Alexis Reeser; a sister, Nella Lewis and husband Carroll of Amarillo; a sister-in-law, Sherry Kuykendall of Roswell, N.M.; two brothers-in-law, Elzie Clements and wife Penny of White Settlement and Tommy Clements and wife Glenda of Aztec, N.M.; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and cherished friends all over the world.
