Vigil services will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. MaryÕs Catholic Church with Monsignor Harold Waldow officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega. Mrs. Looney was born July 9, 1919, in Tulia to Matthew Major Kell and Estella Ruth Kell. She graduated from Tulia High School in 1937 and went on to attend Amarillo College. In 1941, she married Herman Looney in the rectory of Sacred Heart Cathedral. Mrs. Looney worked as a bookkeeper and had her own real estate firm. She was a Catholic and a member of St. MaryÕs Catholic Church. Mrs. Looney actively participated in church activities and civic affairs. She had been a past president of the St. MaryÕs Alter Society and DCCW. In addition to being a GRI Realtor, she served as president of the WomenÕs Realtors of Amarillo and was a member of NARFE. Her passion was her family. She spent countless years caring for various family members, especially her husband who preceded her in death in 2000. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Juanita Forrester, Madeline Sullivan and Neoma Kidd; a brother, Matthew Kell; and two nieces, Joyce Havins and Paulette Poe. Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Laursen and husband Chris of Amarillo; three granddaughters, Kristin Trindle and husband Richard of Knoxville, Tenn., Kerry Greb and husband Karl of Houston and Katrina Laursen, currently attending Texas A&M University; a great-grandson, Andrew Greb; three nieces, Carline Rodriguez, Maxine Dunlap and Audrey Nell Stover; and eight nephews, Eddie Poe, Larry Poe, Kenneth Melton, Ronnie Melton, Eldon Kell, Herbert Looney and R.J. Puckett and Fred Forrester, who had been her constant companion over the past few years. The family suggests memorials be to St. MaryÕs Catholic Church, 1200 S. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Bowman was born March 21, 1929, in Foster, Okla. He entered the U.S. Army on Jan. 15, 1951, and was honorably discharged on Oct. 25, 1956. Survivors include three sons, Johnny Lee Bowman of Pampa, Shane Bowman of Marlow, Okla., and Ricky Bowman of Velma, Okla.; three sisters, Edna Blackburn of Pampa, Bonnie Young of Lefors and Mary Boortz of Granbury; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, June 26, 2006 ======================================================================== Elmer Franklin Daniels ALANREED - Elmer Franklin Daniels, 72, died Saturday, June 24, 2006, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Alanreed Cemetery with the Rev. Thacker Haynes officiating. Arrangements are by Bailey-Ware Funeral Home of McLean. Mr. Daniels was born Dec. 13, 1933, in Ellis County, Okla., to Dewey and Edna Daniels. He met and married Dorothy McDonald on March 19, 1955, in Clovis, N.M. They were married for 47 years until Dorothy passed away in August 2002. Mr. Daniels was a private in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as a night watchman at the McLean Feed Yard for many years until he retired. He was preceded in death by his wife, and a great-grandchild, Bryan Bybee. Survivors include four daughters, Linda Bailey, Kristy Daniels, Lynda Jo Hastings and Kara Sanderson; a son, James Daniels; two sisters, Delia Range and Imo Lee; three brothers, Delmar Daniels, Lloyd Daniels and Dwight Daniels; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Davenport officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mr. Doyal was born Nov. 29, 1937, in Jefferson County, Okla. His family then moved to Crosbyton when he was a child. He attended schools there and graduated from high school in 1956. He moved to Tulia and farmed with his father. He later joined the Army National Guard and served on active duty as well as in the reserves for six years. He worked at Swisher Cattle Co. for many, many years. He then worked for the TDC as a correctional officer for five years. He was a Christian. He married Frances Berry on May 23, 1959, in Clovis, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Teresa Raper of Amarillo; a son, Michael Doyal of Amarillo; a brother, Larry Doyal of Mexico City, Mexico; and two grandsons, Justin Raper and Aaron Raper, both of Amarillo. She married Homer Joseph Richardson on March 10, 1934, and moved to Moore County in December 1943. She loved children and had been a member of First United Methodist Church since 1944, where she helped establish the Mothers Day Out program. She was preceded in death by her husband; a grandson, Jeffrey Richardson; her parents; a sister; and a brother. Survivors include a son, Bobby Joe Richardson and wife Reba of Dumas; two daughters, Jerry Kees and husband Jim of Liberal, Kan., and Jimmialene Johnston and husband Gray of Dumas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
