Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Central Church of Christ Chapel with Bob Crass officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Albertson joined God on June 30, 2006. She was born July 12, 1904, in Leavenworth, Kan., to Mr. and Mrs. Jess R. Sizelove. She married Theodore W. Albertson on Aug. 27, 1926, in Oakland, Calif. He preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1941. She then married Harry W. Hall on May 30, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1957. Mary loved to keep busy. She made needlepoint crosses and gave them to all her friends and loved ones. She was a loving and giving person. She was also preceded in death by a son, Grant E. Albertson. Survivors include a son, Ted C. Albertson of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega. Mrs. Denson was born Sept. 29, 1914, in Kansas City, Mo. She and her husband lived in Kuwait for several years. She was a member and officer of the Amarillo Business Women's Association, Amarillo Garden Center, Puckett Place Garden Club and Living Soil Garden Club. Byrd, 84, died Saturday, July 1, 2006. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the J.W. Byrd Home Place, 12 miles east of Interstate 27 on Farm-to-Market Road 285. Burial will be in Wayside Cemetery in Wayside by Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia. Mr. Byrd was born May 5, 1922, in the Wayside area to J.W and Julia Byrd. He attended Wayside schools. He married Billie Harral on Aug. 25, 1941. They moved northeast of Tulia, where he was active in farming and ranching. In 1957, he began manufacturing a machine to pick up down crops, the Roll-A-Cone, which is still made today. The business grew to include large tillage and other farm equipment and is still operated by the second and third generation today. He was also known for his metal frame houses. He was active in his farming and business until he was almost 80 years of age, when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's. Survivors include his wife of almost 65 years, Billie Byrd of Tulia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Pat Byrd and Joe Lynn and Julie Byrd, all of Tulia; four daughters and sons-in-law, Freva and Don Adams, Wyla and Ed Miller, Kylene and Ron Miller and Dera and Paul Rousseau, all of Tulia; two sisters, Esther Quarnstrom of Amarillo and Lorene Visser of Bertram; a brother, Earl Byrd of Tucson, Ariz.; 23 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. He was the founder of the White Deer Senior Citizens Center and CEO for 21 years. Mrs. Smith was born on May 21, 1931, in Beeville to the late Mr. Theodore Priour and Mrs. Virginia Priour. She attended schools in Skidmore. She moved to Canadian in the early 1960s from Ingleside. She worked as a cook at the Canadian Restaurant and the Oasis Truck Stop. She was also a member of River Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Ray Smith on Aug. 3, 1988.
