Mr. Lowe was born April 21, 1932, in Johnson City, Tenn., to Nelson J. and Hazel Irene Reedy Lowe. He was a truck driver for many years and a Baptist. Mr. Curry was born July 22, 1926, in St. Augustine, Fla., to Rufus Horace and Virginia Collins Curry. Mr. Curry retired from a lifelong career as a superintendent in commercial construction. He enjoyed working with his hands, gardening and fishing. Mr. Curry was famous for his secret homemade ice cream recipe. He faithfully attended church and loved the Lord. He was preceded in death by a son, Warren Lee Curry; a daughter; Roxanne Lincycomb; and two grandsons. Lola Burks was born Sept. 19, 1932, in Sweetwater, Okla., to Gaut and Lula Davis. She married Bennie Burks on Sept. 10, 1948, in Wheeler. They had lived in Dumas since 1950. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Lon Burks; a great-granddaughter, Jazlyn Ferguson; and several brothers and sisters. Arrangements are by Meierhoffer Funeral Home of St. Joseph. Mr. Harvey was born July 30, 1913, in Saint Jo, Montague County. After moving to New Hope in 1920, he attended elementary school and graduated from Lubbock High School in 1930. He married Catherine Virginia Nelson of Pampa in 1930, and they began a life of farming in Farwell. In 1944 they moved to Gray County to farm the Harry Nelson land east of Pampa. As Farm Bureau "Farmer of the Year" in 1970, he was involved in raising crops of wheat and milo. He was a member and trustee of First United Methodist Church of Miami. He enjoyed his family, music, traveling, photography, designing metal sculpture, woodworking, fishing and growing tomatoes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, in 2004; his parents, Annie and Drury Harvey of Clovis, N.M.; and a brother, Ernest Harvey of Clovis. Survivors include four children, Jeannine Johnson and husband Bobby of Houston, Mary Ann McIlvain and husband E.J. of Victoria, Lloyd Harvey and wife Kay of Pampa, and Drew Harvey and wife Paula of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a brother, E.D. Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Coker departed for heaven Monday, July 10, 2006. Mrs. Coker was born Jan. 18, 1917, in Crafton, a town named for her family. She was the daughter of Reba Stockard Craft and E.R. Craft. She met A.C. Coker in Fort Worth in 1932, and they were married in September 1933. Verda Lee and A.C. made Amarillo their home in 1937 and opened Coker's Garage on Sixth Avenue in 1943, which was in business for 34 years. They loved to hunt and fish together and always worshipped together. They celebrated 61 wonderful years together before A.C. went to be with our Lord on March 3, 1995. Confessing Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, Verda Lee was blessed to be a charter member of Coulter Road Baptist Church. Verda loved her family and her Lord. She was an exceptional artist and her oil paintings beautify the houses of many of her family and friends. She will be remembered for her love of family and be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Coker; a brother, Leon Craft; a sister, Que Craft; a half brother, Donald Craft; and a grandson, Frank Evans. She married Clifton D. McMahan on Feb. 12, 1946, in Amarillo. He passed away in 1973. She was a homemaker. She was a member of San Jacinto Assembly of God Church for many years and was president of the Women's Ministry for 20 years. She loved working in her church. Most of all, she liked being "Nana" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also "Nana" to many, many family members and friends.
