Creek VA Medical Center, officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Fort Bliss National Cemetery in Fort Bliss. 1st Sgt. Dyer retired from the U.S. Army after 24 years of service. He served during the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War, where he received several medals and awards including the Purple Heart. He was a member of the VFW Post No. 1475. During his military career, she was instrumental in caring for her children as they moved to different military bases in the United States and Germany. Ms. Carnley was an exceptional mother.
