Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Carter was born May 15, 1940, in Clarendon to Roy L. and Mildred Jackson Carter. He was employed by U.S. Securities Inc. in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Christopher W. Carter; and a stepdaughter, Pamela Lea Copeland. Survivors include his beloved wife, Pat Carter; a daughter, Kelly Carter of Amarillo; a brother, Jackson Carter and wife Teresa of Allardt, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Julie Sillivent and husband Cliff of Amarillo; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two nephews; a niece; and a great-niece.
