Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Arriaga was born Sept. 18, 1950, in Rosebud. He retired from Pantex after 35 years. He married Esther Mary Morales of San Diego, Texas, on Feb. 13, 1997. He was a wonderful husband and a loving dad and grandfather. He lived his life to the fullest and was loved by all who met him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Candelario Arriaga and Damacia Garcia, and two brothers, Joe and Ruben Arriaga. Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Esther; a daughter, Jasmin Aguallo and husband Joe of Amarillo; a son, Bruno Sergio Arriaga and wife Adela of Amarillo; five stepchildren, Sundie Huerta of Quanah, Janie Chavez and Reynaldo Morales and wife Yadira, all of Amarillo, Christina Wallace and husband Nathan of San Antonio and Jerry Morales and wife Dixie of El Dorado, Okla.; three brothers, Simon Arriaga and wife Esther of Petersburg and Rudy Arriaga and wife Victoria and Andy Arriaga and wife Barbara, all of Amarillo; four sisters, Carolina Dominguez, Ester Bowlin and husband Myron and Janie Stapp and husband Bill, all of Amarillo, and Eddy Ray of Houston; 11 grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Amarillo Globe-News, July 31, 2006 ======================================================================== Edward Williams Edward Williams, 87, of Amarillo died Friday, July 28, 2006. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Weatherford with Alan Williamson, chaplain of Park Place Towers Retirement Center in Amarillo, officiating. Arrangements are by White's Funeral Home of Weatherford. Mr. Williams was born Aug. 8, 1918, in Pilot Point. He married Claudia V. Taylor on July 6, 1942, in Brownwood. She preceded him in death on Feb. 13, 2002. Mr. Williams was a graduate of Peaster High School. He received his B.A. degree (accounting) from Howard Payne University in May 1948, and his master's of education (counseling) from Sul Ross State University in May 1968. Mr. Williams worked as an accountant for Standard Oil Co. of Texas from 1948 until 1965 and then joined the education field. He taught at Monahans High School (1964 to 1969), worked at Masonic Home & School (1969 to 1971) and served as vocational counselor at Weatherford High School (1971 to 1972). Mr. Williams was director at Parker County Co-Op Special Services (1972 to 1989), after which he retired. Mr. Williams served in World War II (1941 to 1946) and in the Korean War (1952 to 1953) as a pilot in the U.S. Navy. He was a lifelong Baptist, holding several different offices including chairman of the deacons in different churches the family attended. Mr. Williams moved to Park Place Towers on April 18, 2003. The family of Edward Williams wishes to thank the dear friends and the caring staff, doctors and nurses at Park Place Towers as well as BSA Hospice who tirelessly attended to his needs. Survivors include two sons, Edward Allen Williams and wife Susan of Ozona and Douglas Benton Williams and wife Janis of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Michelle Young and husband Ray of Midland, Doug Williams and wife Emily of New York City, Peggy Cook and husband Sean of McKinney and Melissa Perner and husband Paul of Ozona; a great-granddaughter, Desiree Young of Midland; and many other relatives and friends. She spent most of her life in the Panhandle and worked as a nurse assistant for Home Health. Darlene loved helping people. Survivors include three daughters, Tamika, Shandra and Janizia Telford, all of Amarillo; three sons, Damarcus, Dontae and Zantayviess Telford, all of Amarillo; her mother, Frankie Joe Oliver and stepfather Elmo Oliver of Amarillo; her stepmother, Jeanita Telford of Amarillo; two brothers, Taley and Johnny Ray Telford, both of Amarillo; four sisters, Sandy Butler and husband Jerry, and Stephanie, Charlsetta and Felisha Telford, all of Amarillo; a sister-in-law, Petra Telford of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Nevaeh of Amarillo; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was a very special boy who was filled with life.
