Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Dunn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev Jim Witcher, minister of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Pechaeck was born Nov. 3, 1907, in Ballinger, Texas. He owned and operated the Quay Auto Parts Store in Tucumcari. Survivors include his wife, Emma Pechaeck; two stepdaughters, Stella Watson of Tucumcari and Dori Roach of Clovis; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Private memorial services were held Saturday. Arrangements were by Hills-Ely Funeral Home. Mr. Barringer was born June 10, 1977, in Delta, Colo., to Richard Lee Barringer Sr. and Edith Mary Barringer. He had attended school in Ponca City, Amarillo, Texas, and Blackwell. Survivors include his father of Gage; three sisters, Linda Bartosovsky of Medford, Tammy Campfield of Gassville, Ark., and Tia Thurston of Ponca City; and five brothers, Rocky Hayes of Bella Vista, Ark., Eddie Hayes of Dalhart, Texas, Albert Harris of Soledad, Calif., Pat Harris of Tonkawa and Wade Magnuson of Ponca City. McCormick, 77, of Amarillo died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Llano East Cemetery Field of Valor with Claud Tugwell, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Military rites will be by DAV Chapter No. 26. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. McCormick was born Aug. 11, 1929, in Nocatee, Fla. He moved to Amarillo in 1992 from Florida. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a staff sergeant. He married Mary Hines in 1951 in Great Falls, Mont. Mr. McCormick was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda M. Johnson and husband Dr. Larry Johnson of Amarillo; a sister, Mrs. Thomas W. Bishop of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Peyton and Alex Johnson, both of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to Hospice of the Southwest, 1500 S. Coulter St., Amarillo, TX 79106. Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 14, 2006 ======================================================================== James Ray "Jim" Batchelor James Ray "Jim" Batchelor, 77, of Amarillo died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Charlie Cox officiating. Mr. Batchelor was born March 3, 1929, in Shamrock and traveled a lot as a young man. He played football and attended Little Rock High School in Little Rock, Ark. He joined the U.S. Navy, where he had the opportunity to travel much more. James married Ramona Rhea on Oct. 2, 1953, in Amarillo. They lived in Tulsa, Okla., for 36 years, where he worked as an engineering inspector for many different engineering firms over the years. They moved to Amarillo in 1999. Jim loved to cook and was known for his gourmet original recipes. The family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors and staff at Baptist-St. Anthony's Hospice for kindness and care that they received. Survivors include his wife; a son, David Batchelor and wife Audrey of Plano; two brothers, Bob Batchelor and wife Alberta of Amarillo and Gary Rae and wife Linda of Tulsa; a sister, Betty Burgy of Amarillo; and three granddaughters, Lyndsey, Bryanna and Myriah, all of Plano. Bell St. Mrs. Holcomb was born May 20, 1913, in Chillicothe to Arthur Judson Williams and Mabel Lutie Hall Williams. She married Harold H. Holcomb on June 28, 1931, in Guthrie, Okla. Both Jean and her husband, Harold, graduated from Panhandle High School. After they married, they moved to Borger, where they lived until Harold retired from J.M. Huber Corporation. They also lived in Canyon and Amarillo and recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. Jean was a member of Paramount Baptist Church and a very active member of the Puckett Place Garden Club. The family wishes to thank all the caregivers of BSA Hospice, Harrington Assisted Living and Ware Memorial for their kindness and compassion. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Neulan Williams.
