Gonzales Luis M. Gonzales, 80, of Amarillo died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Hal Smith and Inocencio Martinez officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Luis M. Gonzales was born Feb. 2, 1926, in Gonzales to Luis and Maria Gonzales. He was very loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Ruben Gonzales. Survivors include two daughters, Gabriela Zuniga and Dianna Gonzales, both of Amarillo; the mother of his children, Maria R. Lopez of Amarillo; three brothers, Jose Gonzales of Amarillo, Jesus Gonzales of Corpus Christi and Ruperto Gonzales of Mexico; two sisters, Francisca Dominguez and Margarita Gonzales, both of Mexico; seven grandchildren including Caleb, Abeni and Joshua; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. McLean was born Dec. 1, 1927, in Japan and moved to the United States in 1963, becoming a U.S. citizen in 1968. Before moving to the United States, she married George W. McLean. He preceded her in death in 1972. Mrs. McLean moved to Amarillo in 1970 from California. She was an interior designer. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother. Survivors include a son, Paul McLean of Kennedale; a brother; a sister; and four grandchildren, Katherine McLean, William McLean, Victoria McLean and Alexandria McLean, all of Kennedale. Bell St. Mrs. Holcomb was born May 20, 1913, in Chillicothe to Arthur Judson Williams and Mabel Lutie Hall Williams. She married Harold H. Holcomb on June 28, 1931, in Guthrie, Okla. Both Jean and her husband, Harold, graduated from Panhandle High School. After they married, they moved to Borger, where they lived until Harold retired from J.M. Huber Corp. They also lived in Canyon and Amarillo and recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. Jean was a member of Paramount Baptist Church and a very active member of the Puckett Place Garden Club. The family wishes to thank all the caregivers of BSA Hospice, Harrington Assisted Living and Ware Memorial for their kindness and compassion. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Neulan Williams. Georgia St. Mrs. Hooks was born in Arcadia, Neb. She married Roy Hooks on Nov. 9, 1930. They moved to Amarillo in 1937. She was a consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics for 15 years. She was a lifetime member of Second Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; and a son, Wayne Hooks in 2002.
