Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Maze, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Braden was born Nov. 6, 1938, in Borger and he had been a lifetime resident of Borger. He married Fran Strovas on Nov. 28, 1958, in Borger. He was semi-retired accountant for Gary Murrow, which was formerly Dawson and Murrow. He attended West Texas University and was a member of First Baptist Church in Borger. He was also a member of the Borger Jaycees, House Committee of Borger Country Club and past president of Borger Band Boosters. He loved to work in his yard, sports activities, fishing and his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, R. R. "Spooks" Braden and Jennie B. Lasater Braden. Survivors include his wife, Fran; two sons, Mike Braden and wife Joy of Borger and Steve Braden and wife Cindy of Medford, Ore.; a daughter, Stacie Hunt of Pampa; a brother, Gary Braden and wife Beverly of Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren, Sabrina Hawthorne and husband Mark, Colt Braden, Chase Braden, Braden Hunt and Ethan Hunt. She had worked for Levi Strauss for several years and was a nurse's aide in various hospitals. She was a Catholic. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Marie Kerek in 1981. Ellie was born Jan. 29, 1965, in Columbia, Mo., and lived most of her life in Amarillo. She worked as a nurse's aide in Amarillo for more than 20 years. She also worked as a bartender at Texas Bound. Ellie lived to serve others and often put others' needs before her own. She loved being a mom, loved the mountains, angels, poetry and lighthouses. She loved her pets and all animals. She was preceded in death by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews. Survivors include her fiance, Randy West of Amarillo; three daughters, Christy Prosser, Velma Cagle and Tammy Cagle, all of Amarillo; her mother, Chalcia Hubbard of Amarillo; seven sisters, Greta Zepeda of Amarillo, Gracie Franklin of Conway, S.C., Sue Cervantez of Atlanta, Diana Evans of Pampa, Lois Hubbard of Oklahoma and Pamela Zeno and Penny Hubbard, both of California; five brothers, A.G. Mrs. Payne was born Aug. 4, 1909, in Riesel to Edward and Olie Dool. She was vice president of Woods Manufacturing in Waco for 20 years. She moved to Amarillo in 1982 after retiring from Woods. Mrs. Payne had been a volunteer for BSA Hospital for 20 years, having worked in the gift shop. The family wishes to give a special thanks to BSA Hospice for their care of Ida Lee during her stay with them. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, in 1970; two brothers, F.W. Dool and Raymond Dool; and a sister, Gertrude Dool. Zachry Construction at the Phillips Refinery in Borger. He was preceded in death by his mother; father; stepmother, Betty Schulz; his second wife, Leslie J. Schulz; and a stepsister, Carol Hammond.
