Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Murray Gossett, associate minister of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Richard was born Nov. 30, 1955, in Amarillo to Robert W. and Norma Lee. He attended schools in Amarillo and went to Texas A&M, Bryan/College Station. He soon realized that he preferred working outdoors and with his hands. He returned to Amarillo and began working in building construction. He loved working with wood and was an excellent cabinetmaker/carpenter. He also worked for a time at Owens-Corning and graduated from the Amarillo Police Academy, but soon returned to his first love, building. Richard married Nancy Leann Holland on Feb. 14, 1985. Survivors include his beloved wife, Leann; three children whom he adored, Amanda Dawn Lee of Carrollton, Chandra Michelle Lee of Tempe, Ariz., and Richard Preston Lee of Los Angeles; his precious granddaughter, Keyaira Nicole Kallie of Carrollton; his parents, Robert W. and Norma Lee of Amarillo; a brother, Bob Lee and wife Carrie of Arlington, Va.; a sister, Melinda Lee Doherty of Plano; a niece, Allison Holdman and husband Joshua; nieces, Paige and Casey Doherty; a nephew, Aaron Lee of Fort Benning, Ga.; his mother-in- law, Evone Holland of Amarillo, who thought he was almost perfect; brothers- in-law and sisters-in-law, David Holland and Mary Markey of Omaha, Neb., John and Freda Holland, Jerry Holland of Clarendon and Laura and Don Hillis of Shamrock, all of whom loved him as a brother; and many more nieces and nephews who considered Uncle Richard to be their favorite uncle. Mr. Morgan was born in Wolf City and had been a longtime Amarillo resident. He had been married to Florence Morgan for 67 years. She married Roy Griffin on July 18, 1948, in Pampa. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1977. She was employed by Pampa Communications as a PBX operator from 1977 until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Griffin, on Feb. 6, 2005. Survivors include two sons, John Griffin and wife Judy and Joe Griffin, all of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Ryan Griffin and Traci Tucker, both of Amarillo; and five great-grandchildren. Don Barclay, born Jan. 27, 1943, to Hugh and Janet Barclay in Washington D.C., passed away Aug. 29, 2006. Don was a resident of Allen, a member of First United Methodist Church of Allen and an active member of the community. He served as past president of the Texas Business Association of Amarillo. Don was the human resource director at Lindsey Manufacturing, Crouse Hinds and Affiliated Foods Inc. in Amarillo. Most recently he worked for Blockbuster Distribution Center in McKinney. Don's dedication and commitment to Blockbuster helped to affect a culture change at the distribution center. As a result of his efforts, Blockbuster Distribution was able to reach a safety milestone of 2 million hours without a lost-time accident. In recognition of his efforts Blockbuster Distribution and the Collin County Community College District Foundation established the Don Barclay Safety Achievement Scholarship Fund. Don retired from the U.S. Army as a captain. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him more than words can describe.
