Cavnor Onolee F. Cavnor, 86, of Amarillo died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006. Private family services will be held and burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Cavnor was born in New York to Henry Paul and Eva B. Kelly. She married Fenton Cavnor. He preceded her in death in 1997. Mrs. Cavnor was a registered nurse and had worked at St. Anthony's Hospital, the VA Hospital and several nursing homes before her retirement more than 20 years ago. She attended Paramount Terrace Christian Church until her health prevented her from attending. Survivors include a daughter, Denise Britt of Arlington; a sister, Arlene O'Neill of Cloister, N.J.; two grandchildren, Jason and Casey; and special friends and neighbors, Donna and Andrea Craig. Georgia St. Mr. Mosley was born Jan. 13, 1945, in Clarendon to Winfield and Sara Jo Mosley. He married Connie Francies on July 8, 1983, in Amarillo. Rusty was a cowboy at heart and had worked on both the Hedgecoke and Shelton Ranches. He enjoyed roping with his many close friends and was known as the practical joker, always bringing a laugh to those around him. Most recently, Rusty had worked for Plains Transportation hauling cattle until his health prevented him from working. He will forever be remembered and missed for his kind, gentle spirit and his eagerness to help anyone in need. He was preceded in death by a son, Russell Winfield Jr., in 1965; his father, Winfield Mosley, in 1975; and a sister, Jane Mosley Kerr, in 2001. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Susan Abshire and husband Scott of Raleigh, N.C., and T.J. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mrs. Vise was born Dec. 16, 1921, in Hemphill County, where she grew up and attended school. She graduated from the San Jacinto Beauty School in Amarillo. She married Murry Vise Sr. on Dec. 10, 1939. He died on Sept. 19, 2003. They farmed in Hemphill County before moving to Swisher County in 1948. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tulia for 51 years, where she was the Sunday school director and teacher and the WMU director for many years. She was an avid gardener and grew dahlias for First Baptist Church in Tulia for many years. She was a life member of the Texas Congress of Parent Teachers. She was the program director for the Swisher County Senior Volunteer Program until she moved to Plainview in 2001. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Plainview since 2001. She loved to visit with her great- grandsons. Survivors include two daughters, Janice Posey and husband Jim of Plainview and Sharon Pieplow and husband Paul of El Paso; a son, Murry Vise Jr. of Big Spring; two brothers, R.E. McKay, M.D. Pete graduated from Amarillo High School in 1964 and attended Texas Tech University from 1964 to 1968. He joined the U.S. Army in 1968 and served in Vietnam from 1971 to 1973. He received his degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and moved to Houston. He devoted his life to serving his Lord by helping others strengthen their faith and find direction in their lives. He also served for many years on the board of the Pregnancy Resource Center of Houston and recently found a fulfilling challenge through his church with prison ministry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlotte and Edward D. McKay, M.D. of Amarillo.
