Grantham Maxine B. Grantham, 82, of Amarillo died Monday, Sept. 11, 2006. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Amarillo Bible Church with Bob Burns, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Grantham was born Jan. 22, 1924, in San Angelo. She had lived in Amarillo for most of her life. She had been married to James Grantham for 54 years when he preceded her in death. Mrs. Grantham had been the personnel director for Western National Life Insurance, retiring after 35 years. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Heider and husband Bob of Columbus, Ga.; a son, David Grantham and wife Karen of Amarillo; a sister, Madie Sanders of Amarillo; and two grandchildren, Ryan Heider of Columbus and Jennifer Grantham of Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. in Fair Lawn Cemetery in Elk City, Okla., with Bob Miller and Roy Lynn Dewees, pastors, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Goldie was born March 11, 1924, in Spring Creek, Okla., to Warlo and Lora Dewees. She graduated from Ocina High School and soon after went to work for the J.C. Penney Co., where she was employed for 32 years. Goldie married William Doyle Winn on July 4, 1953, in Elk City. They resided in Elk City before moving to Amarillo in 1974. Mrs. Winn was a wonderful wife, a precious mother and a loving "Granny." She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Bobbie Smith and Frankie Rippetoe. Survivors include her husband, Doyle Winn; a brother, Charles Dewees; a daughter and son-in-law, Glendie and Delbert Farrar; grandchildren and their spouses, Rod and Deb Farrar of Albuquerque, N.M., and Rory and Julie Farrar, Ronica Farrar, Kerri Clemens, Roth Farrar and Ronde Farrar, all of Amarillo; four great-grandchildren, Seth, Ally, Riley and Caleb Farrar; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and family. Mrs. Lee was born March 20, 1913, in Montague County to Thomas and Pearl Reynolds. She married Lonnie Britt Lee in 1931 in Clovis, N.M. He preceded her in death in 1953. Mrs. Lee lived in Wheeler County for 75 years. She owned and operated City Drug in Wheeler for 45 years. She also worked at Lancaster's Department Store for 10 years. Mrs. Lee retired in 1975. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Wheeler and the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include two daughters, Lonnelle Kenady and husband Arden of Amarillo and Shari Porter and husband Jim of Wheeler; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Noel was born March 6, 1920, in Tahoka, and graduated from Whiteface High School in 1938. He served in the Army during World War II, and graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in electrical engineering. Noel was employed by Southwestern Public Service for 35 years. He married Rose Anne Moer in 1960. In 1985, he married longtime friend Margaret Gainer. They moved from Levelland to Keller in 1998. He was a member of North Richland Hills Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Margaret of North Richland Hills; seven children, George of Valencia, Calif., David of Irving and Margaret Anne Smith, John, Charles, Ed and Chris, all of Amarillo; a stepson, Mike Gainer of Keller; two sisters, Carol Parker and Lawanda Rutherford, both of Lubbock; a brother, Roland of Tularosa, N.M.; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clara McKinney Reddell MCKINNEY - Clara McKinney Reddell, 98, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in First Christian Church. Burial will be in Pecan Grove Cemetery by Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of McKinney. Mrs. Reddell was born Jan. 31, 1908, in the Wilmeth community, north of McKinney, the daughter of the late John Brice and Annie Magers McKinney. She was a direct descendant of Collin McKinney and Elder J.B. Wilmeth, two early pioneers who settled in Collin County in 1846 and played a big part in the early history of Texas, Collin County and McKinney. She was married June 6, 1931, in Durant, Okla., to Eugene "Gene" Randall Reddell, whose tragic death occurred May 20, 1939, at the Texas Power & Light substation east of Dallas. She was a graduate of McKinney High School and attended Hall's Business School. She was a member of First Christian Church of McKinney, a church organized in 1848 by her great-grandfather, Elder J.B. Wilmeth, at the homestead where she was born and lived most of her life. She served 37 years as office secretary for the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, under the direction of six managers and 37 presidents. Major projects during her tenure of office include the Ashburn General Hospital, the Veterans Administration Hospital, Lavon Dam and Reservoir, the Upper East Fork Associaton, McKinney Industrial Foundation and Park, Collin County Fair and Purebred Livestock Association and Greater McKinney United Fund. She was a member of the Former Chamber of Commerce Managers and Secretaries Association of East Texas, which covered a 72-county area. She served as its secretary-treasurer in 1963 and held a 21-year attendance award. A family genealogist, she is also the author of the 1959 compilation, "Historical Facts about McKinney, Collin County and Collin McKinney" or "History," a widely distributed publication. She was a past member of the McKinney B.&P.W. Club. She served many years as the secretary-treasurer of the McLarry Cemetery Association. She was a member of McKinney's 150th Anniversary Task Force and received recognition at the McKinney Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet as a nominee for the Sesquicentennial Citizen Award. She was a longtime member of the Heritage Guild and guest of honor at its "Celebrate the Century" banquet in 1999. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and five brothers, Drury M. McKinney,Joe M. McKinney, Collin L. McKinney, J.B. McKinney and Armyn O. McKinney. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Ann Cooper and husband Don of Perryton; two grandchildren, Tim Cooper and wife Paula of Perryton and the Rev. D'Ann Cooper of Los Angeles; two great-grandchildren, John Collin Cooper and Cullie Don Cooper, both of Perryton; a brother, Ridgell M. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Homer Southerland officiating. Burial will be in Pendleton Cemetery in Pendleton. Mr. Eubank was born May 17, 1928, in Santa Anna in Coleman County. He graduated from Santa Anna High School in May 1944 and from Texas A&M University in June 1948. He married Peggy Jean Southerland on Jan. 27, 1951, while living in Temple. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kerrville. In 1961, Ed was a co-founder of C.H.E. Inc. located in Amarillo and Lubbock. He was a life member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers. He served in the military as a second lieutenant and in the Texas National Guard 36th Division and was honorably discharged as a captain. He retired in 1993 while living in Amarillo. Ed and Peggy lived at Lake Kiowa for seven years and then traveled in their motor home for four years before moving to Kerrville in 2004. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Todd Eubank of Amarillo. Survivors include his wife, Peggy; three sons, Michael and wife Elaine of Amarillo, William and wife Candice of Houston and Don and wife Barbara of Dallas; a daughter, Nitia Morris and Dennis Achilli of Dallas; six grandchildren, Audra Morris and Cameron Eubank, both of Austin, Andrea Eubank and Lauren Eubank, both of College Station, Chris Eubank of Dallas and Blaine Nunley and wife Crystal of Amarillo; three great-grandchildren, Mindy, Nolan and Travis; two brothers, Elmo Jr. and wife Minnie of Round Rock and Kenneth and wife Peg of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and a sister, Betty Moore and husband Ray of Fort Worth.
