Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in 21st Street Church of Christ with the Rev. Louis Pattison, Mrs. Burford's brother-in-law, officiating, and Cecil Bunch assisting. There will be a private family burial service. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Burford was born March 8, 1914, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to Charles and Annie Bumgarner. She married Wayne Burford on March 24, 1949. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Myrick of Clovis; a son, Larry Burford of Caldwell, Idaho; a stepdaughter, Pat Burford of Shallowater, Texas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five sisters, Georgie Sharpe of Amarillo, Texas, Ellen Kerley of Seattle, Beth Sidnam of Millers Creek, N.C., Sue Pattison and Joy Pattison of Clovis; three brothers, Charles Bumgarner of Danville, Va., Tom Bumgarner of Raleigh, N.C., and Carroll Bumgarner of Chatham, Va. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today in Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Burkett, pastor, and the Rev. Barry Bennett, associate pastor, officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Arrangements are by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mr. Hinchey was born July 18, 1922, in Chandler to Mack Thomas and Blanche Evans Hinchey. He married Lois Cawlfield on Dec. 31, 1948, in Clayton, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Donna Hinchey of Guymon; two sons, Mack Hinchey and Chris Hinchey, both of Guymon; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Box 1306, Guymon, OK 73942. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amarillo Mildred DeBord Mildred DeBord, 95, of Amarillo died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Marty Hamrick, associate pastor of Polk Street United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mildred Pemberton DeBord was born March 17, 1911, in Greenville. She moved to Amarillo in 1942 and was employed as a U.S. civil service employee assigned to the Air Force. She also worked at other Air Force bases, namely Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi, Lowry Air Force Base in Colorado and Francis E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming. In 1951, she moved back to the Amarillo Air Force Base, worked there until the base closed and retired in 1969. She was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Amarillo Senior Citizens Association and the 45 Uppers Club. She married W. Clifford DeBord in 1971. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her other husbands, W.J. Butler and Y. Jack Miller. Survivors include two nieces, Ann Pemberton of Amarillo and Kay Pemberton Taft of Rockport; two nephews, Wayne Delaney of Denison and Robert Dale Pemberton of Richfield, Minn.; three stepsons, Jackie Miller of New Mexico, Ray DeBord and wife Diana of Bedford and Neal DeBord and wife Tona of Amarillo; two stepdaughters, Deana Milliron and Eva Jo Sudbury and husband Soapy, all of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Putnam was born Jan. 20, 1927, in Harmon County, Okla., to Grace Brewer Hayes and Burt Hayes. She graduated from Vinson High School in 1943. She worked for J.C. Penney in Oklahoma City for many years. A resident of Amarillo for 17 years, she was a member of Anna Street Church of Christ. She married Calvin Philley of Hollis, Okla., in 1946 and married Ennis Putnam of Hollis, Okla., in 1968, both of whom preceded her in death. She was well-loved by her family and friends. Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Phillips and husband Rod of Amarillo, Linda Lucas and husband Larry and Jan Patterson and husband Mark, all of Lubbock; a son, Eddie Philley and wife Beverly of Dumas; eight grandchildren, Sandy Hodges, Tammie Goldston, Wil Philley, Brady Herzog, Chris Phillips, Sherry Burnes, Kelly Slaughter and Jim Philley; 12 great- grandchildren; four sisters, Lucille Christian, Joan Stallings, Flo Yoakum and Doris Hobbs; and three brothers, Calvin Hayes, Wayne Hayes and Kenneth Hayes. She was past president and had served many years on the board of Lutheran Social Services of the South.
