"Ray" Eubanks O.L. "Ray" Eubanks, 79, of Amarillo died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. F.M. Byford officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Eubanks was born Sept. 18, 1927, in Amarillo to Virgil and Eva Eubanks. He married Roddie Rowell Bowers on July 5, 1997, in Amarillo. He had worked as a clerk for Santa Fe Railway for 39 years. O.L. "Ray" had also served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a deacon at Paramount Baptist Church and was also a Mason. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie Lupher Eubanks. Survivors include his wife, Roddie Ruth Eubanks; a daughter, Karen Eubanks of Lubbock; a stepson, Brian Bowers of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two sisters, Carlene Dodds of Ohio and Darlene Smith of Florida; and four stepgrandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Area Debra Barker Burson SILVERTON - Debra Barker Burson, 53, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Silverton Church of Christ with James A. Mayfield, minister, Gary Weaks and Rance Young officiating. Burial will be in Silverton Cemetery by Chancellor Funeral Home. Mrs. Burson passed from this life Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006. She was born Sept. 12, 1953, in Burnet to Marlis C. Barker and Elizabeth Stewardson Barker. Debra graduated from Tivy High School in Kerrville in 1972 and from Angelo State University with a bachelor of science degree in animal science in 1976. She married Tommy Don Burson of Silverton on Aug. 12, 1976, in the home of her parents in Kerrville. They made their home on the family farm near Silverton. She was a member of Silverton Church of Christ. Their son, Donny Marlis Burson, was born Aug. 13, 1980. Debra started her career at Towe Agency in Silverton. She later worked as bookkeeper at Harris Gin, John Deere, Blankenship Enterprises in Plainview and her last years as finance clerk for Floyd County Commissioners and Judge Bill Hardin. Her great joys in life came from helping Donny with animal projects in 4-H and FFA and in attending school and community events. She was preceded in death by her father, and her grandparents, Morgan and Velma Barker and H.E. and Birdie Stewardson, all of San Saba. Survivors include her husband; a son, Donny Marlis Burson of Canyon; her mother of San Saba; her brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Teri Barker of Big Horn, Wyo.; her mother-in-law, Mary Tom Burson of Silverton; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Trena Burson and Bryan and Lana Burson, all of Silverton; three nieces, Brooke and Morgan Barker, both of Wyoming, and Ami Lynn of Silverton; and three nephews, Zack and Dusty True Burson, both of Silverton, and Shane Lee of Amarillo. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Mexico Clara Belle Billhimer CLOVIS, N.M. - Clara Belle Billhimer, 83, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006. No services are planned. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Billhimer was born July 16, 1923, in Louisville, Ky., to Elmer Orville Myers and Margaret Stone Myers. She was a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service.
