Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Johnson Chapel A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Phillip Randall, pastor, and the Rev. Matthew Luby, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church in Abilene, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St. Mrs. Dawn was born Sept. 11, 1962, in Amarillo to Frank Watson Jr. and Alma Swain Watson. She attended St. Lawrence Elementary School and graduated from Alamo Catholic School. She received her bachelor of arts degree in political science from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, where she was on the dean's list. She received her master of arts degree in math and science from the University of North Texas, Denton. She met James Dawn at Texas Tech University, and they were married on Aug. 3, 1985. They became the parents of two children, Courtney N. Dawn and Cameron J. Dawn. "Gail" was employed as area manager for the Department of Assistive Rehabilitative Services, State of Texas, in Abilene. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Abilene. She was the victim of an automobile accident that occurred on Oct. 3, 2006, near Austin. Survivors include a daughter, Courtney Drones and husband Greg of Oceanside, Calif.; a son, Cameron J. Dawn of Amarillo; her mother, Alma Swain of Amarillo; her father, Frank Watson Jr. of Amarillo; her grandmother, Lonnie Watson of Amarillo; two brothers, Marcus Watson of Arlington and Arthur Choels and wife Jenny of Amarillo; two sisters, Charmaigne Gonzales and Destiny Watson, both of Amarillo; a grandchild, Arianna Drones of Oceanside; and other relatives. Mr. Wheeler was an excellent craftsman, who liked to work in his yard and on cars. He enjoyed the Christmas holidays and celebrating Christ's birthday. Ezra Jackson Windom Jr. MCLEAN - E.J. Ezra Jackson Windom Jr., 83, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, in Shamrock. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Methodist Church with the Rev. Thacker Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery by Bailey- Ware Funeral Home. Mr. Windom was born June 12, 1923, in Springfield, Colo., to E.J. Windom Sr. and Grace Hotchkiss Windom. He married Dorris Nell Wilson on Jan. 31, 1940. He was stationed in England while serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Jr. owned his own auto repair and parts business for more than 50 years. He was inducted into the Route 66 Hall of Fame. Jr. was a man of integrity who loved his family, enjoyed his friends, gospel music, reading and sports. He served on the board of McLean schools, City Council and Golf Association. Jr. was a member of First Methodist Church, and McLean VFW. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Clyde Windom and wife Ann of Richardson, Eddy Windom and wife Barbara of Grapevine and Pat Windom and wife Trisha of Boerne; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marsalee Windom Hastings of Idalou. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery by Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian. Mrs. Chumbley was born on May 13, 1914, in Hill City, Kan., to the late Mr. George O. Flowers and Mrs. Stella Etta Whitson Flowers. She graduated high school from Reydon, Okla. She married William T. Chumbley on Nov. 20, 1932, in Arnett, Okla. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1960. She moved to Canadian in 1945 from Compton, Calif. She owned and operated Modern Beauty from 1960 until retiring in 1985. Doris was a member of the Sagebrush Painters, the Rebekah Lodge and First Baptist Church. She was a talented artist and an avid bird watcher as they fed and bathed outside her windows. She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas E. Chumbley; a daughter, Mae Ortega; and a granddaughter, Frances Jean Ortega. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Ragsdale was born Dec. 28, 1915, in Baxter, Tenn., and she came to Pampa at the age of 10 from the Tulsa, Okla., area. She was a 1935 graduate of Pampa High School. She married R.B. Ragsdale on Jan. 17, 1941, in Pampa. He preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1976. She worked at City Drug, Cretney's, Wilson Drug and Anthony's for many years, retiring in 1991. Mrs. Ragsdale was a member of First Baptist Church. She was an artist and was a member of the Pampa Art Club. She enjoyed traveling overseas and painting scenes of places she visited. Spivey, 86, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, in Amarillo. Mrs. Spivey was born Feb. 23, 1920, in Duncan, Okla., to Samuel Wesley and Claudia Sleeker. She was a loving mother who will be missed by all. She was a servant of God and her family. Ida was an active member of First Baptist Church in Dumas. She was past director of Senior Citizens in Dumas and also a member of the Happy Hatters for many years. She married Wade Spivey in 1940, and they had three children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Wade Spivey, in 2000. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Thompson of Hereford; two sons, Dale Spivey and wife Susan of Austin and John Spivey and wife Tanya of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flo Clary PLAINVIEW - Flo Clary, 89, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church Chapel with Lanny Voss officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Clary was born Nov. 29, 1916, in Margaret to Eugene and Nettie Caldwell. Mrs. Clary moved with her family to Abilene at an early age. She graduated as valedictorian of Abilene High School in 1933. Upon receiving numerous scholarships, she attended Hardin Simmons University and graduated magna cum laude in 1937. While attending college, she met fellow student, Leslie Clary, and they were married on March 13, 1937. Mr. and Mrs. Clary moved to Plainview in 1941, where they made their home for 62 years. In addition to rearing five children, Mrs. Clary was active in her church and community. She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1941, and she taught adult Sunday school classes for more than 50 years. She was an accomplished Bible scholar. Her greatest joy in the church was establishing and teaching a Bible class for divorced women. She fed them lunch at her home each Thursday. Mrs. Clary served on the Caprock Girl Scout board and was a Girl Scout troop leader. She was a member of Plainview Junior Service League, serving as their president in the 1950s. She was a volunteer worker in civic affairs, working at the Sick Children's Clinic in the 1960s and delivering Meals On Wheels. She was a member of PEO Chapter CZ for more than 50 years. Mrs. Clary's creativity was expressed by the numerous book reviews she gave in the community, sewing for her four daughters and granddaughters, in addition to keeping her yard and flowerbeds. Her love for learning led her to post- graduate studies at Wayland Baptist University, eventually joining the staff as an instructor in mathematics from 1970 to 1976. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters, Nell Willingham and Rachel Brashear; and two grandchildren, Andria Clary and Russell Page. Survivors include four daughters, Sue Hart and husband Harry of Spokane, Wash., Kay Peterson and husband Bill of Mesa, Ariz., Ann Johnson and husband Ted of Midland and Jane Lewellen and husband Eddie of Plainview; a son, Leslie Clary and wife Vicki of Amarillo; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Katherine Fair of Oklahoma City.
