Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Life of Praise Fellowship with LaVon Thompson, senior pastor, officiating. Arrangements by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. McCarl's passions were sales at the flea market, his animals and his family. He was a member of Life of Praise Fellowship. Survivors include his wife, Karen; two daughters, Tina Ledesma of Dallas and Kristi Bovoski of Fort Worth; three sons, Myron Curtis McCarl of Amarillo, Darrell Moore of Fort Worth and Travis Moore of Childress; a sister, Myrtle McMillian of Oregon; two brothers, Mervyn McCarl and Morris McCarl, both of Oregon; and 12 grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eleazar "Sonny" Macias Arguijo Eleazar "Sonny" Macias Arguijo, 62, of Amarillo died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum. Mr. Arguijo was born Dec. 26, 1943, in Hubbard to the late Manuel and Prima Macias Arguijo. He married Adeline Annette Mendeola on June 4, 1971. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served as a "Sky Soldier" in the 173rd Airborne Brigade from 1963 to 1966. He retired after 21 years of working as an aircraft mechanic with Bell Helicopter. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and a sister. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Elizabeth Hernandez of Lubbock and Kim Love of Lancaster; a son, Manuel Anthony Arguijo and wife Jessica of Lucas; five granddaughters, Nicole Soria, Denisha Love, Charlotte Levario, Mariana Hernandez and Ayden Arguijo; three grandsons, Steven Love, Joey Hernandez and Julian Anthony Arguijo; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Benjamin and Victor; and six sisters, Ruth, Eunice, Sara, Becky, Febe and Rachel. Mrs. Lasher graduated with a bachelor of arts from West Texas State University in art. She was a talented artist, specializing in watercolor. She was co- owner with her first husband, Frank Hodnik, in their insurance business, known as the Frank Hodnik Agency and later as Insurance Associates Inc. until his death on Sept. 7, 1980. She was a substitute teacher for the Amarillo Independent School District and also was involved in the HOSTS Program. She married Myron L. Lasher on April 8, 1988. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Charles McCollom. Survivors include her husband, Myron L. Lasher; two daughters, Mary Francis and husband Corby of Abilene and Doloris Smith and husband Gene of Amarillo; five sons, David Hodnik and Steve Lasher and wife Bonnie, all of Amarillo, Joe Hodnik of Midlothian, Bill Lasher and wife Mary of Cincinnati and Myron Lasher II and wife Olga of Austin; a sister, La Homa Herron of Robinson; two brothers, Dean McCollom of Plains, Kan., and Dale McCollom of Hobart, Okla.; and 14 grandchildren. Mrs. Stallings was born Feb. 23, 1927, in Lubbock County to Henry and Julia Summar. She married Raymond Stallings on Aug. 1, 1945, at Central Baptist Church in Amarillo. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and touched the lives of many children. She was a great server of the Lord, and her greatest accomplishment was being the completer of her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brothers and sisters; and a grandson, Jeremy. She married Bobby Staton on July 1, 1951. She was a devoted Christian and a lifetime member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church. She loved to play the piano and was known to many friends and family as "Nonie." She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Billy Iverne Sherrill and Kenneth Sherrill; a daughter, Debra Haddox; and two grandchildren, Chris Parker and Davis Haddox. Box 626, Stinnett, TX 79083. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Mexico Harold Biffle ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Harold Biffle, 98, formerly of Lubbock, Texas, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock. Private burial will be in City of Lubbock Cemetery by Sanders Funeral Home of Lubbock. Mr. Biffle was born Sept. 14, 1908, in Jacobia, Texas, in Hunt County near Greenville, the third son of Leslie Merine Biffle and Frances Chandler Biffle. He was one of their eight children, two of whom died in infancy. He was salutatorian of the Idalou, Texas, High School class of 1926 and attended Texas Tech in Lubbock. He married Marguerite Knight in 1933, and together they raised three sons: Johnny of Windsor, Colo., George of Canyon, Texas, and Billy of Albuquerque. He and Marguerite were separated by her death in 1994 after 61 years of marriage. Harold joined Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock at its founding in 1954 and served as its choir director for several years. As a general contractor for 46 years, he built hundreds of commercial buildings, private homes and churches throughout the Southwest. He was a carpenter, cabinet maker, private pilot, hunter, fisherman, golfer, singer, musician, student of Spanish, lover of books and the English language, a lifelong learner and a self-confessed wit. Harold died after a short illness at age 98 in Albuquerque, his home since 2000. He will be missed by his family and many others. Survivors include three sons; three daughters-in-law; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
