Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Dumas with Glen Walton officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Harris was born Feb. 17, 1928, in Post to Claude and Stella Jackson. She married Marvin C. Harris on June 1, 1946. He passed away in 1996. She was a retired hairdresser and co-owned and operated La Petite Beauty Shop in Dumas. Mrs. Harris was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dumas. She was most recently a volunteer for Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a grandson, Lance Morrison, in 2005. Survivors include a daughter, Shera May and husband Doug May of Amarillo; a son, Glen Harris of Houston; a sister, Ima Lee Swanger of Brownwood; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church in Mobeetie with the Rev. Tom Stribling, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Happy, officiating. Burial will be in Mobeetie Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Hogan was born Nov. 6, 1920, in Miami, attended school at the "Little Red Schoolhouse" north of Pampa and graduated from Pampa High School. He married Louise Almond on June 3, 1945, in Pampa. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Mobeetie, a Boy Scout leader in Pampa, a member of the Old Mobeetie Jail Museum board, and he supported numerous charitable organizations. Mr. Hogan was a rancher in Wheeler County since 1951. Before ranching, he worked for Gulf Oil and Cree and Hoover Drilling Co. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was an avid sports fan and was a founding member of the "Hoover Hogs." He was preceded in death by a son, Walter Earl Hogan; two sisters, Cleo Shannon and Lorita Harlow; a brother, E.W. Hogan Jr.; and a nephew, Talley Timmens. Survivors include his wife, Louise Hogan; a son, Robert J. Hogan Jr. and wife Geniva of Keiser, Ark.; two grandsons, Mike Farrell and Joe Farrell, both of Elk City, Okla.; three great-grandsons; a great-granddaughter; six nephews; three nieces; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Mrs. Murray had lived in Mobeetie for one year after living eight years in Aransas Pass, moving there from Follett, where she had lived from 1966 to 1998. Mrs. Murray was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. Travis Clinton McGuire was born Feb. 13, 1911, in Altus, Okla., to the late Clinton and Ella Stephens McGuire. He lived in Meadow until 1936, when he moved to Collingsworth County. On April 20, 1939, in Clinton, Okla., Travis was married to Oma Lee Brisbin. They made their home in Collingsworth County, where Travis served on the Quail School board for 14 years as a member and as board president. He also served on the Co-Op Gin board and the ASCS Committee. They moved to Amarillo in 1986, where they were living at the time of Oma Lee's death in 1992. Travis remained in Amarillo until recently, moving to Whitehouse to be near his daughter. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Oma Lee McGuire; two sisters; and four brothers. Survivors include a son, Travis McGuire Jr. and wife Anita of Greenbank, Wash.; a daughter, Sherry Hiett of Tyler; a sister, Thelma Box and husband Earl of Lubbock; five grandchildren, Tammy Byrum and husband Jeff of Sulphur Springs, Dan C.
