Mrs. Neal was born April 15, 1927, in Marlin to Will and Dora Landrum. She married Sammy Neal in 1963 in Amherst. Survivors include five sons, Johnnie Landrum of Olton, Clarence Miller of Amarillo and Tommy Scott, Dexter Scott and Robert Scott, all of Plainview; three daughters, Maggie Landrum of Plainview, Rita Morris of Plano and Winifred Beasley of Beaumont; 43 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- David "Weed" Henwood CANADIAN - David "Weed" Henwood, 66, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Abundant Life Assembly of God with the Rev. Justin Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Lipscomb Cemetery in Lipscomb by Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian. Mr. Henwood was born Sept. 29, 1940, in Hemphill County to the late Mr. Dean Henwood and Mrs. Anna Henwood Shore. He was a 1959 graduate of Canadian High School. He then went on and graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology from West Texas State University. Weed was a lifelong resident of Canadian. He married Vivian Wheeler on May 31, 1975, at First Christian Church in Canadian. He worked for West Texas Gas as a measurement supervisor until retiring in 1993. He was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God, where he was a deacon for four years. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jami Royval and husband Gilbert of Canadian; a stepson, Mike Cook of Lipscomb; a stepdaughter, Teri Cook of Amarillo; two brothers, Franklin Henwood and wife Gwen of Amarillo and Jerry Henwood and wife Helen of Kerrville; and five grandchildren, Payton Suiter, Jacob Suiter, Riley Suiter, Taylor Royval and Erinn Cook. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Carruth was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Lipscomb County. She married Fred Elton Weeks on Feb. 9, 1944, in Canadian. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1995. She later married Clyde Carruth in October 1995. He preceded her in death in on April 19, 2003. Mrs. Carruth was the business manager of the Pampa Clinic for 27 years and was the owner and real estate broker of Neva Weeks Realty for 26 years. She was a member of First Christian Church, Pampa Chamber of Commerce and the Pampa Senior Citizens Center and was a past president of the Pampa Board of Realtors. Survivors include a son, Larry B. Mr. Solis was born in Charlotte, and moved to Amarillo in 1942. He married Rosa Almanzar on Nov. 12, 1947, in Amarillo. He worked for Zanchettin Brothers Terrazzo and Tile Co. until he retired in 1990. He loved his family, touched the hearts of many people and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eubence and Petra Solis; a daughter, Sylvia; five brothers, Juan, Clemente, Santos, Narcico and Louis Solis, all of Amarillo; and a sister, Lola Reyna of Michigan. Bell St. Mrs. Cannon was born on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 1918, at the family home place outside of Stratford, Sherman County, the seventh child, to Tim and Hattie Flores. She attended school in Stratford and graduated from Stratford High School. She married Edgar Ellis "Shorty" Williams Jr. in 1936. This marriage gave the couple a daughter, Timmie Lu Williams. Shorty Williams died in an oil field accident in 1942. During the next seven years, Emma Lou lived in Stratford and worked for Mr. R.C. Buckles. In 1949, she married George J. Cannon Jr. This marriage gave the couple a daughter, Anne Rochelle Cannon. George Cannon died in December 1993. Emma Lou was employed by Southwestern Public Service for 27 years. She served in various civic organizations, including the Women's Division of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce, the American Business Women's Association and the Business and Professional Women's organization. Emma Lou was also blessed with many lifelong friends from her home town as well as friends from her many years of employment and civic service. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; three brothers, J.W. Flores, H.M. Flores and S.F. Flores; and two sisters, Faye Lynn Flores and Mary Modean Munger. Survivors include two daughters, Timmie Lu Williams Johnson and husband Max of Plano and Anne Cannon Lankford and husband Jack of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Chris Johnson of Plano, Todd Johnson and wife Brenda of Wichita, Kan., Wendi Tuz and husband Rich of Winona and Dustin Smith and wife Jamaica of Austin; three great-grandchildren, Dane and Jordan Tuz of Winona and Jackson Smith of Austin; a sister, Sybil Boney, of Amarillo; and 11 nieces and nephews and their families. She attended Amarillo High School and Draughon's Business College. Mrs. Milward worked for Automotive Electric, retiring in 1986. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ona and Ben Lindsey; four sisters, Pauline Box, Winnie Whitt, Nell Lindsey and Mable Powell; and a niece, Pamela Jackson. Coulter St. Mrs. Trammell was born Sept. 21, 1927, in Childress. Mrs. Trammel worked as a registered nurse at St. Anthony's Hospital and for the Southwest Osteopathic Hospital. During the 1980s and 1990s, she went on several medical missions to Mexico and Jamaica. She married Cecil L. Trammell on Jan. 3, 1948. Mrs. Trammel was an accomplished artist. Many of her oil paintings hang proudly in her children's home and homes of her friends. She loved to fish and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Catherine A. Howard of Canyon; two sons, Michael Trammell of Amarillo and Pat Trammel of Perryton; two brothers, Richard Jamieson of Fort Worth and Joe Jamieson of Tyler; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
