No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St. Mr. Adams was born in Jackson County, Colorado. He grew up in Toyah, and in Grand Falls. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1954 and served in Vietnam. He was a decorated war veteran, having earned the Bronze star with V- device for valor and three purple hearts. He retired from the military in 1974. Most recently, he worked as a security guard for Lone Wolf Security. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Adams Williams, in 2002; and three brothers. Survivors include a daughter, Terri Adams of Amarillo; a son, Travis Adams; a grandson, Nicholas Adams; two sisters, Loretta Kelldorf and husband Bill of Tyler, and Betty Hinz of Clinton, Okla.; three brothers, Gerald Adams and wife Cecile of Sarasota, Fla., Alvin Adams and wife Lois of Weatherford, Okla., and Dr. Jerome M. Adams and wife Irene of Burkburnett. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Agnes Davis Agnes Davis, 98, of Amarillo died Nov. 5, 2006. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday with Kerry Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis was born June 13, 1908, in Lindsey, Okla. She married James H. Davis on Oct. 7, 1926. She was preceded in death by her husband in January 1985; a son-in-law, Robert Freeman on Jan. 1, 1989; a daughter-in-law, Oleta Davis in October 2005; and two grandsons, Jerry Freeman in March 1959 and Brent Sharber in July 2002. Survivors include two sons, Bill Davis of Amarillo; and Jimmy Davis of Lake Kickapoo; two daughters, Betty Freeman of Oklahoma City and Patty Sharber of Amarillo; 25 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Burial will follow in llano Cemetery Mausoleum by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. E.L. “Lee” Corbit was born July 25, 1938, and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006. Lee was the only child of Elbert and Laoma Corbitt. He was born in Hollis, Okla. He also lived in Los Gatos and San Francisco during World War II. He graduated from high school in Woodward, Okla. Lee joined the National Guard right out of high school. He obtained a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from Southwestern State College in Weatherford, Okla. He was the first in his family to attend college. He was later awarded a doctor of pharmacy degree from the state of Oklahoma. Lee worked as a pharmacist in Oklahoma before moving to Amarillo, where he met his wife. Lee married Frances Lewis on Sept. 19, 1964. They had one daughter and two beloved grandsons. Lee and Frances had 42 wonderful years together. He loved his family with all his heart. Lee was a loving and caring son, husband, father and grandfather. He made friends everywhere he went. Lee loved the Lord. Lee enjoyed travelling in his RV. He loved taking pictures and was an avid reader. Lee was also a big OU Sooner fan. He loved his pets. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Michelle Miskimen and husband Cory; and his grandsons, Nicholas and Daniel Miskimen. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery in Hereford by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur St. Mrs. Ellis was born April 29, 1941, in Buckholts. She lived most of her life in Hereford, then moved to Amarillo in 2006. She has overcome a life of obstacles and has touched and taught many in our lives. Her life will be a life so deeply missed in our hearts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cruz Ellis Sr.; her parents, Marla and Pete Rogers; a daughter, Ammica Cardenas; a son, Elias Ellis; a granddaughter, Pearl Ellis; two grandsons, Joe Jaso Jr. and Steven Ray Robinson; a sister, Lupe Rogers; and a brother, Conrado Rogers. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeff Conway and the Rev. Marty Loberg officiating. Private family interment will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Roberne Wilson Foran was born in Amarillo to Robert and Viola Wilson. One grandfather, John Frank Wilson, was the first sheriff of Armstrong County. Her other grandfather, John Hugh Wilson, studied dentistry at Johns Hopkins University and served as an early day dentist in Quanah, where Quanah Parker, the last Commanche chief was one of his patients. Roberne attended Amarillo High School, Amarillo College, Gardner School in New York City, West Texas A&M University and the University of Colorado. While in New York, she studied with master teachers Alberto Jonas (piano) and Franz Proschowski (voice). Her mother, Viola Wilson, was a unique teacher whose pupils appeared with a symphony orchestra, sang in operas and gave solo concerts. When her sister Wendene was 13 and she was 11, they sang the leads in “Hanzel and Gretel” with a cast of young people. Her mother transposed at sight the complete score to a lower key to accommodate the young cast. Among the operas Roberne appeared in were “Gianni Schichi” and “Madame Butterfly”. Roberne was an active member of Virgeen Latson’s Piano Performance Group and gave three duo-concerts. She was principal cellist with the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra in the 1940’s and she often sang for the USO, weddings and church services. At the time of her marriage, after working for the Bureau of Agricultural Economics and the Civil Aeronautics Board during the war, she became chief legal secretary to the senior trial attorney at Phillips Petroleum. Later she served as corporate secretary for Foran Construction Company. She was co-owner of Arrangements Plus, a travel guide company that specialized in Panhandle heritage. She married her childhood sweetheart, William J. Bill Foran in 1946, after his return from World War II, and they had five children. She preferred being a room mother to serving on boards. She led each of her daughters’ Girl Scout Troops and supported all of her children’s activities. It was not unusual for Roberne to attend 10 or more sports or other extracurricular events a week. Roberne was an enthusiastic supporter in all of Bill’s civic activities, which included chairmanship of the State Health Department, State Associated General Contractors and Rotary International. Roberne was a founding member of the Amarillo Great Books Group in 1954, the oldest continuous membership Great Books group in the nation. She was appointed to the board which pioneered the Amarillo College Community Program and she served twice as the foreman of the Potter County Grand Jury. She served as a docent at the Amarillo Museum of Art for more than 25 years. She was named Texas Admiral by Gov. Dolph Biscoe. One of her proudest honors was being named to the Amarillo Library Board. Other organizations she supported were Westminster Presbyterian Church (elder), Amarillo Little Theatre, Amarillo Symphony, Amarillo Opera, Planned Parenthood, KACV-TV, West Texas A&M Women’s Financial Seminar, Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames, Kids Incorporated, the Old Main Society of WTAMU, Goodnight Circle of the Panhandle Plains Museum, Texas Dance Theater, Junior Travel Study Club, International Club and Democratic Women. She was preceded in death by a son, James Robert Foran. Family and friends formed a Jim Foran Memorial Fund for Youth, which sponsored an annual 6th grade basketball tournament for 10 years. The fund continues to support youth activities and scholarships. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Bill Foran; a sister, Wendene Wilson Shoupe of Findlay, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Don Foran and wife Mozelle; four children, Ronda Foran Kelly of Houston, Joseph William Foran of Dallas, Donda Foran Thomasson of Beaumont and Wendy Foran Howard of Chicago; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Entombment will be in Llano Cemetery Mausoleum by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Branden was born Jan. 22, 1980, in Amarillo and was raised in Amarillo. He was a 1998 graduate of Amarillo High School, where he lettered in cross country and track. He was a 2004 graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where he received his instrument, commercial, and multi-engine certificates. He received his private pilot’s license through Sparton School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Okla. He previously worked as a flight instructor and was a corporate pilot for Bob and Kevin Cantrell at Grayson Air LLC in Ada, Okla. He loved his “Oklahoma Family:” Bob and Judy Cantrell, Kevin and Kelli Cantrell and Gracie, Kate and Major Cantrell. He died doing what he loved to do. Flying airplanes. He had more than 1,200 hours of flight time. Branden was an adventurer. He loved the outdoors, snow skiing, snow boarding, fishing, four-wheeling, running and watching “Sooner” football. He was always eager to help those down on their luck. He loved his Lord, his family and his many friends. He had a way of making all those around him feel special. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Monk and Jackie Hughes, Norman and Joyce Nesbitt and Joe C. Burk. Mrs. Newman was born Sept. 21, 1911, in Childress County to Mannon and Jennie Bowen Vandiver. She graduated from Kirkland High School in 1930. On Dec. 22, 1930, she married Aubrey C. Newman. She was a longtime resident of Amarillo, as well as a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband in 1983; and a son, Cecil Wayne Newman in 1997.Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Felton and husband Earl; a brother, Floyd Vandiver, a daughter in law, Eloise Newman; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Ping was born in Gregory County, South Dakota. He attended Whiting High School in Whiting, Iowa. He served in the Navy. He had 25 years with the United Commercial Travelers of America. He worked as an Auto Parts Salesman for Gene Cline Motor Parts from 1973 to 1992 and for Straus Frank Co. from 1992 until retirement in 2003. He was a former Amarillo Police Officer, earning several accolades. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susie Ping, in 1985; and daughter, Debra Ferguson, in 2005. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Meehan of Amarillo; two stepdaughters, Dale Longbine and Dawn Allen, both of Amarillo; a sister, Dorothy Allen of Dexter, Ore.; three grandchildren, Amy Jones, Elaine Jones and Brandon White; nine great-grandchildren; and his dog and best friend, Ju Lee. Arrangements are by Ollinger Funeral Home of San Antonio and Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart. Marjorie Rhea Damron was born Oct. 1, 1921. in Texola, Okla., to Earnest and Mattie White Damron. Marjorie was raised in Paducah and graduated from Paducah High School. On July 9, 1941, she married Raymond N. “Stormy” Davis in Paducah. Raymond joined the U.S. Marines and was a Career Officer, so they lived all over the world before retiring to Cisco. Marjorie did volunteer work for the Cisco museum and the local VFW for years. In 1991 she moved to Dalhart. Marjorie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dalhart. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973; her parents; and two brothers, Gene Damron and Francis Damron. Geneva McNeill was born Aug. 18, 1916, in Avoca to Lewis and Maude Caple Broom. She married Wayne McNeill in Quanah on Sept. 22, 1940, and has been a resident of Armstrong County since then. She was a seamstress and loved quilting and gardening. She was a member of the University Church of Christ. Geneva’s family and grandchildren were her world. She left a lasting legacy that will be fondly remembered for generations. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Camille Rhodes, in 2005; and a son, John McNeill, in 2004. She worked for Plains Memorial Hospital before becoming a homemaker for her two children. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and the late Goose Ramey. Mrs. Reid was born Nov. 4, 1923, in Whizbang, Okla. and had lived in Pampa most of her life. She married Raymond Edward Reid on May 26, 1945 in Pampa. She was co-owner of Cree Oil Co. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church. Mrs. Reid was a very accomplished artist and traveled the world, recording her experiences in her paintings. She will be remembered for her passion for people and her joyful laugh. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 7, 2001; and a brother, George B Cree Jr. Survivors include two daughters, Diane Reid and Shelley Reid, both of Tucson, Ariz.; a son, Raymond Reid II of Argyle; a brother, William R.
