Masonic graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Llano East Cemetery with Dr. James Hale officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Rhinehart was born Sept. 12, 1926, in Fonde, Ky., and had lived in Amarillo since 1962. Mr. Rhinehart was a combat air crewman (CAC) in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served in the Pacific, European and American Theaters. He earned seven battle stars, and the Navy Air Medal. Additionally, his patrol squadron (VP-15) received a Presidential Unit Citation for its actions during the Saipan campaign. Mr. Rhinehart was a self-employed businessman for most of his life, and lived at various times in Wallins Creek, Loyall and Sukey Ridge in Kentucky, Detroit, Alamogordo, N.M., and Lake Sam Rayburn. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lillian Ruth Howard Rhinehart, in 1996; and his five brothers. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Thomas Moss of Amarillo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Suzie Rhinehart of Clarendon and John and Leslie Rhinehart of Alta Loma, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Sage Jackson, Shawn, Bryan, Gannon, Amanda and Ethan Rhinehart and Jason and Jaret Moss. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Ray Jones; a daughter, Sharon Mooney of Amarillo; a son, Garland Jones of Amarillo; a sister, Melva Jones of Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren. Box 7448, Amarillo, TX 79114-7448. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adrienne White Bingham Adrienne White Bingham, 90, of Dumas died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006, in Dumas. Services were at 4 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with Dr. John Hall, grandson, officiating. Burial was in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bingham was born July 30, 1916, in Stephenville to Nape and Jessie Stone Oxford, who moved their family to Dumas in 1921. Farming was a big part of her life from an early age, even driving a grain truck to Capps Switch at the age of 14. She graduated from Dumas High School in 1934, and married Ray White in 1936. She was preceded in death by Mr. White on April 22, 1970. Adrienne was a very active member of First Baptist Church since she became a member on May 23, 1930. She taught Sunday school; was superintendent of juniors, intermediates, and young people, director of youth, member and past president of WMU and was instrumental in securing the First Baptist Church cabin in Glorietta. She was from a musical background and was always very active as a choir member. On Jan. 2, 1977, she married a fellow choir member, Kelly Bingham, and he preceded her in death on June 2, 1991. Survivors include two sons, Ben White and wife Clara and Gary White and wife Pam, all of Dumas; two daughters, Betty Rich and husband Jim of Hereford and Carol Cluck and husband Ken of La Porte; two sisters, Willa Hambrook of Kenniwick, Wash., and Benonia Maddox of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Jamie, John, Ginger, Susan, Cliff, Casey and Christy; and seven great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Bridwell had been a resident of Pampa since 1944. He was self-employed in the construction business for 35 years, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include three sons, Earl Bridwell, Lynn Bridwell and Wendell Bridwell, all of Pampa; a daughter, Norma Mason of Oklahoma City; a brother, Pete Bridwell of White Deer; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Community Fellowship Church with the Rev. Roger Smith, pastor, and the Rev. Richard Dickerson of Bykota Baptist Church in Amarillo officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Citizens Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mr. Hester was born in Clarendon to Jean and Florence Hester. He was raised in Clarendon and graduated from high school in 1943. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1944 and served until Dec. 19, 1945. He married Betty Jo Risenhoover on June 26, 1947, and they moved to and made a life in Amarillo. Rogers worked for the U.S. Postal Service in 1947 as a foot carrier and retired as fleet manager in April 1983. After retirement they moved to Clarendon and built a home. He served for several years as scoutmaster of Troop 14 in Amarillo and was past president of the Letter Carriers Union and the Supervisors Union. He was the Donley County Republican Chairman for eight years. He was a charter member of Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon. He was preceded in death by his father, Jean Hester; his mother, Florence Hester; an infant brother, Edwin Jones Hester; and a sister, Cymantha Earl. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Hester of Clarendon; two daughters, Janice Gail Greer and husband Larry and Patricia Lynn McCurdy and husband Dickie, all of Amarillo; a son, Rogers Hester Jr. and wife Linda of Allen; eight granddaughters, Lacy McCurdy, Sherelle Wanderscheid, Lesley Harris, Krystal Seymour, Shayla Yeo, Lori Guinn, Lindy Billington and Kandice Greer; eight great-granddaughters; and three great-grandsons. Pallbearers will be Dusty Harris, Dustin Guinn, Jerry Billington, Clayton Yeo, Max Seymour, and Zach Wanderscheid. She grew up in the Catesby community, where she attended elementary school at Catesby Country School. She attended high school in Shattuck, graduating in 1942. She married Edgar Franklin Cook on Nov. 24, 1943, in First Baptist Church in Follett. They had three children, Darlene Plank of Amarillo, Clifford Cook of Follett and Ray, who died at the age of 3. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and raising birds and tropical fish. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a niece, Debbie Frazier.
