"Jim" Bozeman James L. "Jim" Bozeman, 89, of Amarillo, formerly of Hereford, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2006. Celebration of life services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church of Hereford with Dr. Larry Heard and the Rev. Kyle Streun officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. in Levelland Cemetery in Levelland. Arrangements are by Hereford Heritage Funeral Home. James pastored five churches over a period of 32 years before retiring. He pastored in Kermit, Fullerton/Andrews, Fort Worth, Plains and at Temple Baptist Church in Hereford. He also served several Panhandle Baptist Churches as interim pastor after retiring. James was involved in overseas missions through International Commission and International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. James was a blessing to his family, friends and to multiples of people all over the world whom he introduced to Jesus Christ. James married Evelyn Peters in 1939 in Lubbock. She preceded him in death in 1999. He married Thelma Lamm in 2000 in Hereford. He was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Trinity Heard, in 2003; and six of his nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Thelma; a daughter, Ann Heard and husband Larry of Amarillo; three sisters, Katie Worthy of Fort Worth, Janie Sidenblad of Houston and Lucy Campbell of Arlington; two grandsons, Rick Heard of Grand Prairie and James Heard and wife Mindy of League City; a granddaughter, Amy Steele and husband Chris of Bowlus, Minn.; four great-grandchildren, Jessica Heard of Midland, Jack and Olivia Steele of Bowlus and Mackenzi Heard of League City; a brother-in-law, Lee Peters of Mineola; a sister-in-law, Blanche Francis of Houston; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Thelma Lamm's children, Sharon Latham and husband Hugh of Amarillo and Alton Lamm and wife Ann of Rainbridge, Ga., as well as Thelma's extended family. Clark Daniel, 52, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in The Church at Quail Creek with Dr. Stan Coffey officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Daniel was born Aug. 28, 1954, in Roswell, N.M., to Woods and Marie Clark. She graduated from Roswell High School in 1973. She graduated from New Mexico State University in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in education. She received her master's degree in education from West Texas State University in 1985. She married Doug Daniel on June 25, 1977, in Roswell. She was a special education teacher at Crockett Middle School. In August 1988, she started with Region 16 Educational Service Center as Direct Services Migrant Counselor/Parent Involvement Specialist. In August 1996, she became the Mental Wellness Specialist with Head Start. Janet retired from Region 16 Educational Service Center on April 30, 2006. She was a member of The Church at Quail Creek. Survivors include her husband, Doug Daniel; two daughters, Brittany Daniel of Houston and Meagan Daniel of San Antonio; two brothers, David Clark and Greg Clark, both of Roswell; her aunt and uncle, Max and Lois Burleson of San Antonio; an uncle, Robert Reid of Shreveport, La.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Brooks was born Sept. 24, 1930, in Missouri. She married Robert W. "Bob" Brooks on May 2, 1952, in Kansas. They moved to Amarillo in 1963. Murchison, 81, of Amarillo died Monday, Nov. 27, 2006. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. James Bankhead and the Rev. Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Murchison was born Dec. 3, 1924, in Henryetta, Okla., to Monroe and Pearl Brendel Murchison. They moved to Amarillo in 1926. He attended various elementary and middle schools and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1943. The day after graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Saratoga throughout the remainder of World War II. On March 31, 1945, Mr. Murchison married his high school sweetheart, Winifred Lamb. Upon his discharge from the Navy in December 1945, they returned to Amarillo, where he spent two years at Amarillo College and then completed his college education at the University of Arkansas, where he received his bachelor of architecture degree in 1952. Mr. Murchison returned to Amarillo, where he worked with local architectural firms on a variety of projects including the original Baptist Hospital and the new city hall. In 1968 he moved to Austin to assume the position of city project manager and liaison between the city and local architects. He remained in that position until his retirement in 1987 when he returned to Amarillo. While in Austin, he was a leader in the relocation and building of First Presbyterian Church, where he was a deacon and an elder. He was a member of a variety of professional organizations including the American Institute of Architecture, Construction Specification Institute in Austin and American Public Works Association, and was an officer in the Austin Chapter of American Institute of Architects. Local organizations include past president of AHS 50th Alumni Association, Masonic Lodge 1239, The MAC Club, NUFFS, New Testament Survey class and First Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder and on the properties committee. Survivors include his wife; two nieces, Sondra Kerr Currie and husband James and Judith Kerr; three great-nieces, Katherine Kerr Kubatzky and husband Tim, Sherry Kerr Forbes and Kimberly Currie Deckard; four great-great-nephews, Corey, Erin and Lindsay Kubatzky and James Daniel Deckard; and three great- great-nieces, Melissa McAnally, Sarah Forbes and Brittany Deckard. She married Pedro Rodriguez in El Paso in 1953. He passed away in 1973. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interstate 40, Suite 160, Amarillo, TX 79106. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- James William Perdue James William Perdue, 55, formerly of Amarillo, died earlier this month. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Amarillo. James, who some knew as Jim, was born July 22, 1951, in Amarillo. He was the first son, but the second of five children, born to Joe and Barbara Perdue. James attended Palo Duro High School, where he proudly served the school as drum major from 1969 to 1970. He married Charee Fassauer on July 2, 1971. In September 1974, they welcomed their first child and son, Jameson Perdue, and four years later in October, they welcomed their daughter, Charessa Perdue. In 1987, James and Charee were divorced, and James moved to Dallas to continue his business of Jim's Trim and start his own dent repair business, The Dent Stop. He later met and married Sarah Walker in December 1989. They divorced in 1995. James continued to work and live in the Dallas area and finally moved to where he could enjoy his favorite pastime on the water at Richland-Chambers Reservoir in Streetman. Some of James' favorite times were on the water either skiing or fishing. This love was first developed with his family in Fritch, where his parents had a home. Many summers the entire family spent camping and playing on the water at Lake Meredith. Survivors include a son, Jameson Perdue and wife Melody and grandson Brandon; a daughter, Charessa Koontz and husband Eric; his parents, Joe and Barbara Perdue; a brother, Jay Perdue and wife Vicki; three sisters, Jacque Thompson and husband Jim, Jayna Anglen and husband Russell and Jennifer Perdue; and 10 nieces and nephews, as well as their spouses and families. Kilcrease Dortha M. Kilcrease, 86, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006. He moved to Amarillo more than 40 years ago from Lubbock. Mr. Splawn worked as a salesman for the Autoplex for 26 years. He served in the Army National Guard. He married Jimmie Sain on May 26, 1951. Mr. Splawn was a loving husband, Dad and Papa.
