Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Caster was born Jan. 6, 1926, in Godley to Edward and Annie Freeman Caster. He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Lee Caster; two daughters, Shirley Carr and Sharon Edwards, both of Hereford; and a son, Jessie Caster of Amarillo. Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Caster of Wynnewood, Okla., and Joan Serratt of Phoeniz; two sisters, Annie Mae Moore of Big Spring and Flora Harvey of Fort Worth; a brother, J.C. Caster of Hereford; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Beverly Caldwell Godwin Beverly Caldwell Godwin, 74, of Amarillo died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Mobeetie Cemetery in Mobeetie with the Rev. Georgia Newell King, BSA Hospital chaplain, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Godwin was born Jan. 18, 1932, in Canadian to Austin and Bernice Caldwell. When she was 9, they moved to Mobeetie where she met the love of her life, Drew Godwin. She graduated from Mobeetie High School in 1949. She married Drew on Christmas Day 1952 in Mobeetie. From that point, you rarely saw one without the other. They both shared the same interests and loved Lake City, Colo., where, after Drew retired, they spent their summers. That is where she developed a love for hummingbirds and all the Colorado flowers. She was the pianist for several different churches that they attended from 1960 until about 1990. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Drew Godwin; two daughters, Michelle McLaughlin of Amarillo and Kristi Godwin of Lubbock; and a brother, Geoff Caldwell and wife Freda of Mobeetie. She is also survived by the lights of her life - three grandchildren, Chad McLaughlin and wife Brittany of Claremore, Okla., Courtney McLaughlin of Dallas and Cayla McLaughlin of Amarillo; and a great-granddaughter, MacKynzie of Dallas. Jimmy was born May 11, 1963, in Clayton, N.M. He married Francisca Rosa Espinosa on Sept. 22, 1984. He was a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and arrowhead hunting. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spearman. Mrs. Price moved to Pampa in 1950, working at Caldwell's Drive-In, and then at Kentucky Fried Chicken for 10 years, retiring in 1987. She was a lifelong member of Church of the Brethren in Pampa, where she taught children's Sunday school classes. Born Dec. 23, 1917, Mr. Steiert was a lifelong resident of Castro County and a member of a pioneer Castro County farming and ranching family. He was a World War II veteran, advancing to the rank of sergeant in the U.S. Army. Overseas for 30 months, he served in the Asiatic/Pacific Theatre with the 718th Amphibious Tractor Battalion. He participated in combat action in campaigns in New Caledonia, New Hebrides, the Marianas Islands, the Philippines and the Riukiu chain off Japan, including the landing on Okinawa. He married Earlene Goodman on March 26, 1946, in Nazareth. She preceded him in death in 2004. He was a longtime farmer in the Hart area and also worked for Hill Farms for many years in potato, carrot and onion production and harvesting. He helped to establish St. John's Catholic Church in Hart and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth and the Catholic Foresters. He was a member of the American Legion Post 528 in Nazareth. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include four children, Jim Steiert and wife Kerrie of Hereford, Janis McAdams of Ropesville, Theresa Fleischman and husband Christopher of Wisconsin and Lt. Col. Patrick Steiert and wife Andrea of DeSoto; seven grandchildren, Laurie Garcia, Darlene Garrett and Kristie Hall, all of Lubbock, Jaime McGlothlin of Waco, Sgt. Joseph Peter Werner of New York and Peter and Sarah Steiert of DeSoto; five great-grandchildren; several nieces; and a nephew. Charlotte Weavers was born April 3, 1936, to Alice White and William A. Penn in Happy. She was a lifelong resident of Happy. She graduated from Happy High School and attended Wayland Baptist University. Charlotte married Roman Weavers on June 14, 1958, in Happy. Mrs. Weavers was employed for the last 15 years by Happy School District as a cook. Prior to her employment at the school, she was a waitress at Al's Cafe for 10 years. Charlotte was a member of First Baptist Church in Happy. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; a son, Leslie Weavers in 1990; a sister, Willie Faye Noel in 1964; and two brothers, Tommy Penn, in 1958 and George Penn in 2002.
