Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Castoire had been in the Marine Corps, serving in World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Before retiring, he had been the transportation manager at IBP. Survivors include a son, Albert Castoire Jr. of Amarillo; a daughter, Donna Long of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Karen Massman and Nichole Castoire; and two great-grandchildren. Aleksy Kowalski, pastor, officiating and Willie Artho, deacon, and Raymond Artho, deacon, assisting. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Irlbeck was born July 18, 1933, in Goodwell, Okla., to William and Bessie Palmer. On April 29, 1954, she married Teddy Irlbeck in Dalhart. She had been postmistress at Kerrick since 1974. She had lived in Stratford and Kerrick since 1954 and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelley Irlbeck, in 1986 and a great- granddaughter, Railey Roberts, in 2001. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Belinda Roberts and husband Jim of Conlen; four sons, Lester Irlbeck and wife Diann of Arlington, Dennis Irlbeck and wife Jeanette of Amarillo, Randy Irlbeck and wife Lisa of Irving and Melvin Irlbeck of Austin; two sisters, Colleen Irlbeck of Dumas and Ernestine Almquist of Arlington; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Roy graduated from Panhandle High School and Oklahoma University with a bachelor of business administration marketing degree. He was also a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and a member of First United Methodist Church in Panhandle. Roy was owner and operator of Lane and Co. He was a member of Panhandle City Council, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Panhandle Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Carson County Square House Museum, Panhandle Airport board, Rotary International and president of the Route 66 Texas Highway Association. "Duff" Hatcher Jr. BOERNE - Russell S. "Duff" Hatcher Jr., 84, formerly of Amarillo, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2006. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity United Methodist Church in Amarillo with the Rev. Scott Richards officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St., in Amarillo. Mr. Hatcher was born Jan. 7, 1922, in Sapulpa, Okla., and passed away on Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at his home in Boerne. He was a quiet, kind and gentle man who left a lasting impression on all he touched. He was a loving husband, nurturing father of three and grandfather of six. Duff moved to Amarillo when he was 5 years old, where his father started Hatcher & Sons Plaining Mill and where Duff first found his love of working with wood. He attended Texas A&M and went on to serve his country in the Navy during World War II. When he returned from the war, he worked at the plaining mill his father started. In 1952, John N. Maynard asked Duff to join his company, Maynard Sash and Door, which became Maywood Inc. He was vice president of operations. During his 35 years with Maywood, he designed machines that help make the products faster and safer. Some of these machines are still used in wood manufacturing plants today. Duff also designed some of the products produced by Maywood. All of the employees of Maywood were held in high regard by him. His presence in this world will surely be missed but he will forever remain in our hearts. Survivors include his best friend, soul mate and wife of 60 years, Dorothy; a son, Russell and wife Shelly; two daughters, Teresa and husband Bill and Tracey and husband Donny; six grandchildren, Russ, Blair, Patrick, Lauren, Hayden and Timber; a brother, Victor Hatcher; a sister, Virginia Hatcher Ford; and countless lifelong friends. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- M.L.
