"Snow Cone Joe" Creel Jr. Joe A. "Snow Cone Joe" Creel Jr., 73, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in North Amarillo Church of Christ with Haun Kite officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Creel married Tommie Hart on March 17, 1956, in Clovis, N.M. She preceded him in death on Dec. 5, 2003. He served in the U.S. Air Force toward the end of the Korean conflict and the beginning of the Vietnam War. He was a member of North Amarillo Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Kelly Zinsmeyer of Lubbock and Edie Willingham of Amarillo; two sons, Mike Creel and Mitchell Creel, both of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Myra Nell Cross Myra Nell Cross, 93, of Amarillo died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006. Born in Sapulpa, Okla., Miss Cross was a member of the USO and one of the first women cab drivers in Amarillo. She retired from Cunninghams Florist and was a manager of Goodwill until she was 83. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia and EG Cross; and two sisters, Mary and June. Survivors include many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Obie. Summers Martha M. Summers, 83, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Carey Skinner officiating. Private burial was in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Summers was born October 15, 1923, in Elida, N.M., to Fred and Pauline Stieg.During WW II, she worked in the shipyards to put herself through college. She was employed as office manager and accountant for Mattie Hedgecoke Properties for 40 years until her retirement. On Oct. 11, 1987, she married Robert B. Summers. Mrs. Summers was a very vibrant and active woman, she referred to herself as being 49.999 years old, never growing old and always willing to begin a new adventure. She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter No. 787, Daughters of the Nile, Gavel Club, Newcomers Club of Amarillo and Red Hats. She had a passion for the Dallas Cowboys and made it a point to attend all of their home games until her health prevented her from doing so. She also loved to square dance and metRobert at a square dance. They were active in the Pioneer Promenaders and the Saints and Spinners Square Dance Club. Mrs. Summers was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Although she kept busy, her family was the center of her universe. Her children and granddaughters were the true love of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; a daughter, Debra Del London; and two sons, Gary and Stacy London. Survivors include a son, David London and wife Rhonda of Amarillo; a brother, Fred Stieg of Lake Conchas, N.M.; and two granddaughters, Holly Annand Lorra Leigh London of Amarillo. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Thomas was born March 5, 1916, in St. Louis to Thomas and Hazel Bundy. He served admirably and bravely in the U.S. Navy for 24 years, serving aboard the aircraft carrier Yorktown in the South Pacific in World War II, and was awarded numerous medals. He was a Mason and a member of First Presbyterian Church. He worked for Crowe- Guilde Builders Supply Co. for 21 years. He was preceded in death by an adoring daughter, Kimberly Bundy Labus, in 1987. Survivors include his loving and ever-faithful wife of 64 years, Alma; a son, Tim Bundy; a granddaughter, Brooke Alyse, a grandson, Bryce Thomas, and their mother, Colette of Odessa; and a sister, Beverly Simpson of Arlington. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St., with the Rev. Robert Field, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Kindle was born Jan. 21, 1935, in Childress County to Elzy Frank and Ida Lee Kindle. He moved to Amarillo 42 years ago from Childress. Mr. Kindle was drafted into the Army twice. He worked for Connally Implement Supply and Hilton Industries and retired from Sunbelt Pump and Supply. He was also active in farming and ranching. Mr. Kindle married Francis Lewis on April 11, 1964, in Amarillo. He loved cooking out for his family. He was also fond of traveling to area lakes and to New Mexico in his fifth wheel. He was a loving husband and father and greatly enjoyed his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister; Marlene Mitchell. Mr. Kuehler was born July 18, 1922, to George and Mary Kuehler in the home where he currently resided. He graduated from Groom High School in 1940 and began farming thereafter. He married Alice Detten on May 5, 1953, in St. Francis. He was a past board member of State National Bank in Groom, the Federal Land Bank, Groom ISD and the building committee for Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Groom. He was the current vice president of Texas Wheat Producers and served on the financial board for Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He was a longtime volunteer for mowing and cleanup of the church grounds and the cemetery. He was a dancing fanatic and an avid supporter of the Groom Tigers and the Dallas Cowboys. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; a sister; and a granddaughter. She was a member of First Untied Methodist Church and attended Pathfinders Sunday school class. Her hobbies were family, travel, butterflies and bridge. She belonged to the Bastrop Harmony Club for many years and the Ladies Reading Circle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Ted Chapman; her brother, Frederick Chapman; her husband, Dr. Robert Wells Loveless; a granddaughter, Margaret Kahla; and a longtime friend, L.M. Graham.
