Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Dr. Randy Davis, pastor of Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Allen was born Aug. 17, 1955, in Amarillo to Ted and Joyce Allen. He worked for Weyerhaeuser for 22 years. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved all children. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a great-aunt and uncle, Alva Mae and Elmer Hunsucker. Survivors include four brothers, Randy Pendleton, Jeff Allen, Larry Allen and Bradley Allen; two sisters, Alecia Cuellar and Euvonna Duckworth; several close aunts and uncles; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon with Lynn Garrett officiating. Arrangements are by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mrs. Hutchens grew up on the Sunshine Ranch in western Oklahoma. She was one of seven children born to W.H. and Hattie Morrow. She attended school at Sweetwater community, where she graduated from high school. She married Fred Hutchens in 1935, and they owned and operated Fred's Drive-in in Pampa together for 35 years. After selling their business, they retired to Canyon and lived there for 11 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Canyon and for the last 12 years she has lived at the Continental Retirement Center in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Gail Musgrave; her mother and father; five brothers; and a sister. Survivors include a son, David Hutchens and wife Ramona of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Matt Musgrave of Bridgeport, W. Va., Lori Blosser and husband Steve of Fairmont, W. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Donelson was born May 17, 1916, in Moore County, the fifth child to A.J. and Kate Holladay Donelson. Ellis spent his early years on his family's farm until beginning his career in the 1930s as an engineer on the Santa Fe Railway, where his constant tinkering on the engine earned him the name "Screwdriver" from his coworkers. After more than 40 years of railroad service, he retired and became an active member of Amarillo Senior Citizens Association, where he was known for his pool playing skills and dancing with his wife Mary on Friday nights. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Earl Donelson; a sister, Mary Bell Donelson Koontz; his first wife, Inez Holman Donelson; and a son, Don Allen Donelson. He worked as an electric motor repairman. He also worked at G.E. Jones Electric for approximately 10 years. Stephen worked in the bowling field for most of his adult life. He was a professional bowler. He bowled several 300 games and was in the PBA for 10 years. Stephen was a wonderful husband and a great father, son and brother. Family was most important to Stephen. He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Joe Rodgers, and his mother, Frances May Rodgers. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Brown Rodgers; a sister, Francine Stanley of Amarillo; five sons, Michael Allen Rodgers, James Matthew Rodgers and Stephen A. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Richards officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Peek was born April 30, 1931, in Roundup. He moved to Amarillo in the early 1940s, and he attended Amarillo schools and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1950. He was a master sergeant in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He went to work as a design draftsman for Southwestern Public Service in 1953 and retired after 41 years of service. He married his beloved wife, Carolyn Whitener, on June 24, 1972. He was a member of the Northwest Texas Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered many hours as the familiar popcorn vendor there. He was a mentor for the HOSTS program with Amarillo Independent School District, helping children after school with their studies. He also ran the game clock at Dick Bivins Stadium for many years. Kenneth was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was the chairman of the Helps Committee. He was also a member of the Harmony Sunday School Class and the Shape Up class at TUMC. Before his health declined, Kenneth enjoyed playing softball, golfing and fishing. More recently, he enjoyed working crossword puzzles with Carolyn and watching wildlife. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Alta Mae Peek, and a sister, Shirley Peek. Mrs. Palacio was born Oct. 5, 1950, in LaBoquilla, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Felix and Maria Fierro. She moved to Texas in 1973 from Mexico. She married Freddie Palacio on Feb. 17, 1978. She worked at Amarillo Country Club for 19 years, from 1980 to 1999. She enjoyed decorating her house, going to garage sales and shopping with her sisters. Mrs. Palacio was a loving wife, mom, sister and daughter. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was a member of St. Laurence Cathedral. He was the hardworking father of grateful children and was married for 61 years. Hill Jr. on Nov. 16, 1951, at First Baptist Church in Amarillo. She was a resident of Amarillo for 65 years. Mildred was a homemaker who loved to cook. She was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Walter Hill, in 1982; a brother, D.W. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Payne was born Jan. 14, 1905, in Colorado City and raised around Carter, Okla. She married Sterling Payne on Dec. 23, 1925. He preceded her in death in 1972. They moved to Childress County from Oklahoma in 1928. In 1940, they moved to Wellington to the family farm, where they raised their six children. After retirement in 1960, they moved to Amarillo. After Mr. Payne's death in 1972, she lived with her daughters, Jeanette and Marie, in Amarillo and Sylvia and Catherine in Pampa. Mrs. Payne was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and a past member of the Rebekah's. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and making baby blankets for the Amarillo Crisis Pregnancy Center. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Jeanette Tickner in 1995, Blonde Field in 1995 and Catherine McClain in 1999; five brothers; two sisters; two grandsons, Gary Porter and Michael Johnson; and a great-grandson, Michael Cave. Mr. Yost was born Sept. 28, 1946, in Munich, Germany. He was raised in Xenia, Ohio, and lived in many places due to his father being in the military. He moved to Amarillo from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and had been a resident here for many years. Edward worked for Auto Mall dealership as a car salesman for several years and was thought of highly by all of his customers. He was a member of New Testament Christian Church and had a great love for God. Edward was a big NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also loved to fly and play trivia games. He was a loving husband and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Yolanda Yost; a son, Brandon Burley of Muskogee, Okla.,; a daughter, Cheyenne Yost of Spartanburg, N.C.; his mother, Lois Yost of Blissfield, Mich.; a sister, Cindy Tobias of Toledo, Ohio; two grandchildren; and a host of many friends. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canyon Ronald Lynn Davis Ronald Lynn Davis, 62, of Canyon died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, in Amarillo. Mr. Davis was born Sept. 5, 1944, in Plainview to James Wade Davis and Betty Jo Fergason Davis. Ronald graduated from Hale Center High School in 1963 and received his master of science degree in agriculture education and animal science from Texas Tech University in 1971. He served in the U.S. Navy in San Diego and Coronado, Calif., from 1968 until 1970. He was in the U.S. Navy Reserve for 34 years and was ranked as a commander upon his retirement in 2004. Ronald married Billie Dee White on June 28, 1969, in Artesia, N.M. He was an agriculture teacher at Canyon High School from 1971 until 1974 and then became a marketing manager for the Texas Farm Bureau until 1984. He was also self-employed as a farmer/rancher at Happy for 32 years. Ronald was a member of First United Methodist Church of Canyon. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Gary Davis, in 2006. Mrs. Haynes was born June 29, 1910, in Missouri to William and Maggie St. Clair. She married W.R. Haynes on Dec. 24, 1927, in Fairview, Okla. They moved to the Dalhart area in 1929. W.R. preceded her in death in 1982. Ruby worked for F.L. Jolley at Dalhart Farmers Exchange for more than 50 years in sales and as a bookkeeper. She retired two months before her 90th birthday. Other than her family and friends, Ruby's passion was her garden and the fruits of the labor. Ruby was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She also chauffeured many of her widowed friends to regular church services for many years. Ruby will be remembered for her example of unconditional love, hard work ethic and steadfast faith in God. She was preceded in death by her husband and twin daughters and sons-in-law, Doris Haynes Spencer and husband R.W. Spencer and Dorothy Haynes Hill and husband, Lee Hill. Survivors include a son, W.G.
