Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Mike Nuthman of Hillside Christian Church officiating. Private family burial will be in Llano East Cemetery. Mrs. Clubb was born Venita Bell Barnett on July 21, 1927, in Amber, Okla., to Joe and Viola Barnett. She moved to Texas as a small child, and grew up on a farm in Adrian. The family moved to Amarillo when she was a teenager. She worked at Pantex during World War II, and later married Roger Clubb in 1945 in Amarillo. Nita spent many years as a real estate agent in Amarillo. She loved having fun and playing card games with family and friends, and was very competitive. Nita had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. Nita was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister; and four brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Saunders and husband Buddy and Mary Jennings and husband John, all of Amarillo; a sister, Jo Walker of Granbury; a brother-in-law, Basil Clubb and wife Harvey Ann of Amarillo; a grandson, Jamie Saunders and wife Lindsay of Weatherford; three granddaughters, Michelle Thomas and husband Craig of Linden, Va., Julie Jennings of Houston and Jennifer Branson and husband Roger of Flower Mound; and five great- grandchildren, Meagan, Anna, Autumn, Katie and Jacob. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Hudson was born Oct. 6, 1924, in Ponca City, Okla. He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He married his high school sweetheart, Edna Holland Ramage, on Dec. 12, 1943, in Seminole, Okla. Ray worked for Phillips Petroleum for a number of years before becoming an independent contractor. He was a loving husband, father and papa and was so proud of his wife, children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Edna Hudson; a daughter, Sharon K. Mr. Preciado was born April 5, 1921, in Amarillo to Bernardino and Francisca Preciado, and had lived here all of his life. He loved to play the piano and was a professional musician. Mr. Preciado was a devoted family member who will be missed by his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Socorro "CoCo"; four brothers, Liciano, Patricio, Jose and Telesforo; and two sisters, Maria and Carmen. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Thursday in Silverton Cemetery with Chad King officiating. The Blue Knights Honor Guard performed ceremonial military honors. Arrangements were by Chancellor Funeral Home. Mr. Hall was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a farmer in Briscoe County for 32 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Silverton. Jesse was born Jan. 23, 1927, in Indian Territory, Okla., to Jesse Albert Hall and Dovie May Guice Hall. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Dobbs; a grandchild; and a great- grandchild. Drager RHEA COMMUNITY - Christian G. Drager, 96, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, in Friona. Mr. Drager was born July 15, 1910, in Copperas Cove to John Henry and Annie Jacob Drager. He moved to Parmer County in 1925 from Copperas Cove. He married Ruth Durrenberger on June 8, 1947, in Warda. He was a farmer. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Lariat, American Legion, VFW, Curry County Fiddlers Association and Friona Senior Citizens. He was elder and president of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Rhea and member of the church until its closing. Mr. Hill was born July 18, 1948, in Childress. He was a Vietnam veteran, and a member of The Elks and Childress Country Club. He was the owner and operator of Hill Top Package Store. He married Wanda on Nov. 27, 1993, in Childress. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen, in 1992; and his father, Franklin, in 2005. Mrs. Proffitt was born Feb. 29, 1924, in Duncan, Okla., to the late Ruben Stewart Lowe and Laura Alice Chamblin Lowe. She grew up in Hedley, and graduated from Hedley High School in 1944. She married George Proffitt on June 14, 1944, in Clarendon. They have resided in Hall County since 1946. She was a member of Memphis Church of Christ, and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Anderson and Dorothy Lowe. Survivors include her husband, George; a daughter, Joan Whitten and husband Warren of Memphis; two sons, Don Proffitt and wife Janet and Gary Proffit and wife Amanda, all of Amarillo; a brother, Bill Lowe of Pampa; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. Roth was born April 24, 1925, in Shamrock and was raised in McLean, graduating from McLean High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Myra Jane Merideth on Jan. 10, 1949, in Panhandle. He came to Pampa in 1956, where he owned and operated Hardin-Roth Truck Terminal until his retirement in 1996. Mr. Roth was a member of Central Baptist Church, Pampa Masonic Lodge No. 966, El Paso Scottish Rite Consistory, Khiva Shrine Temple in Amarillo and the Pampa Moose Lodge. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Dreamland Cemetery. Ruby Neff was born July 27, 1925, to Oliver and Annie Cummings in Panhandle. She married Ernie Neff on Dec. 27, 1949, in Clovis, N.M. She was a longtime resident of Hereford, McAllen and Canyon. She was a member of University Church of Christ. Ruby loved her family and friends and the Lord. She never met a stranger. She enjoyed cooking and had the gift of hospitality. Ruby loved singing and listening to hymns, especially the Gaithers. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and two sisters. Graveside services will be at a later date in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Ala. She was born Dec. 3, 1912, in Bedford, Iowa, to the Rev. and Mrs. Roy C. Snodgrass. She graduated from West Texas State University in Canyon, was married in Amarillo to Louis N. Brown and lived there until relocating to Mountain Brook, Ala., a suburb of Birmingham, her home of 50 years. She moved to Waxahachie in 1997. She was active in First Christian Church and Junior League of Amarillo and the Junior League and Children's Aide Society of Birmingham. She was a founding member of Valley Christian Church of Mountain Brook, and an avid golfer at the Mountain Brook Country Club. In Waxahachie, she enjoyed membership in the exclusive "Les Girls" social club. At her death she was a resident of the Trinity Mission Health and Rehab Center of Italy, Texas, where she was cared for by their compassionate staff. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Louis N. Brown, a retired executive of Southern Natural Gas Co. of Birmingham; her parents, Roy and Clella Snodgrass; a sister, Florence Cherry of Lubbock; and two brothers, Roy Snodgrass Jr. of Amarillo and Bradley Snodgrass of Albuquerque, N.M. Survivors include a son, Louis N. Brown Jr. and wife Linda of Waxahachie; two grandchildren, Louis Brown III of Dallas and Amy Plum and husband John of New Canaan, Conn.; three great-grandchildren Max, Lily and Dukes Plum; and seven nieces and nephews. Herman Moore, pastor of Carter Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, officiating. A service was at noon Tuesday in Bethlehem Baptist Church in Mansfield with arrangements by Gregory Spencer Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Warford Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St. Mrs. Scott was born Oct. 12, 1970, in Austin to Grover and Bobbie Neal. She attended Reagan High School in Austin and graduated from Amarillo High School in Amarillo in 1989. She attended Prairie View A&M University, and received her associate degree in nursing from Amarillo College. She received her bachelor's degree from West Texas A&M University in 1996. She worked as a registered nurse at BSA Hospital prior to moving to Arlington. She was employed as a school nurse at Burgin Elementary School at the time of her death. She was a devout Chrisitian, having grown up as a pastor's daughter. She was involved in many community affairs in Arlington, meals for the homeless and hungry, Baptist Young Womens Mission Ministry and others. Survivors include her loving husband, Gregory Scott; a son, Armon Jamal Scott of Arlington; her parents, the Rev. Grover and Bobbie Neal of Amarillo; her father-in-law, Deacon Roger Scott of Amarillo; a brother, Grover Neal Jr. of Austin; and two sisters, Bobbie Caldwell and Linda Duffie, both of Austin. Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Sell was born Nov. 27, 1912, to Ernest Riley Shelley and Nancy Elizabeth Smith Shelley in Crosbyton. At the age of 2, she moved with her family to Northeast Lubbock County. She graduated from Petersburg High School and attended Draughon's Business College in Lubbock. She married George Robert Sell in 1933. They have been continuously involved in farming near Becton and Petersburg communities for their 73 years of marriage. She was a member of Main Street Church of Christ, Lubbock Christian University Associates, Petersburg Senior Citizens, 1936 Study Club and Petersburg Chamber of Commerce. She was named Petersburg's "Woman of the Year" in 2003. She was known for her thoughtfulness in sending cards to friends and family on all occasions. She was a homemaker and loyal supporter of activities of children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Verna Mae Shelley; and a brother, Ernest Riley "Jack" Shelley Jr. Survivors include her husband, G.R. Mr. Heida lived in California, however, he loved to come to Texas. He was in the dairy business for 34 years. Mrs. Nance was born Jan. 9, 1924, in Silsbee to Mr. and Mrs. Will McDonald of Silsbee. She was a faithful member of St. John's Baptist Church for 58 years.
