Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Glen Walton of Bell Avenue Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Hudson was born Oct. 6, 1924, in Ponca City, Okla. He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He married his high school sweetheart, Edna Holland Ramage, on Dec. 12, 1943, in Seminole, Okla. Ray worked for Phillips Petroleum for a number of years before becoming an independent contractor. He was a loving husband, father and papa and was so proud of his wife, children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Edna Hudson; a daughter, Sharon K. Stiles of White Deer; a son, Les Hudson and wife Roxanne of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Leslie Shackelford and husband Sammy of Pampa, Stephanie Shields and husband Bob of Canyon, Lorrie Steffanuski and husband Billy of West Bloomfield, Mich., Jennifer Swartwood of Amarillo and Melissa Holman and husband Scott of Canyon; and eight great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bryson L. Roberts Bryson L. Roberts, 87, of Amarillo died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006. Services will be 10 a.m. today in Memory Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with Charles Ward officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 S. Bell Ave. Mr. Roberts was born on April 3, 1919, in Brady. He served with the U. S. Army during World War II and was the recipient of a Purple Heart. Mr. Roberts owned and operated a service station and a dry cleaners before his retirement. He was a Baptist. He married Sally Herbert on September 1, 1961, in Roswell, N.M. Survivors include his wife, Sally Roberts of Amarillo; a daughter, Mary Ann Golden and husband Don of Springdale, Ark.; a sister, Shirley Utley of Gainesville; two grandchildren, Kimberly Onofre and Timothy Freeman; three great grandchildren; and three nieces. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Maud Lurie Myers Maud Lurie Myers, 69, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006. Memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Myers was born Aug. 11, 1937, in Pickawa County, Ohio. She was a homemaker. Survivors include three sons, John Ater, James Ater and Bill Ater, all of Amarillo; two daughters, Mary Short and Lisa Charley, both of Amarillo; a stepson, Ralph Edward Myers III of San Diego, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Chris Myers of Columbus, Ohio, and Tina Myers of Washington; three sisters; four brothers; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- J.W. Sneed J.W. Sneed, 89, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2006. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Sneed was born in Denton on Jan. 3, 1917, and had been a resident of Amarillo for over 70 years. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army. Survivors include three granddaughters, Rebecca Britt of Arlington and Shelia Brook and Angela Graves, both of Amarillo; and three great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Area Benny Eugene Forrester WELLINGTON - Benny Eugene Forrester, 73, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Quail Cemetery with the Rev. Derwin Comer, minister of youth and music at First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Adams Funeral Home. Mr. Forrester was born March 31, 1933, in Wellington to J.L. Forrester and Hazel Dale Brisbin Forrester, He was a member of the First Baptist Church and attended school in Quail. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Judy Forrester of Wellington; and two nieces. Mrs. Sartin was born March 25, 1916, in Ranger to Jack Humble and Gertrude Rogers Humble. She married Odell Sartin on May 25, 1939, in Roswell. Survivors include a son, Marvin Sartin of Hereford; a daughter, Jackie Sanders of Capitan, N.M.; a sister, Lou Olive Salmon of Albuquerque, N.M.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oklahoma Kenneth Ray Rhame MAYSVILLE, Okla. - Kenneth Ray Rhame, 79, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Maysville First Baptist Church. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville, Texas. Mr. Rhame was born July 21, 1927, in Shelbyville, Texas, to William Felix and Nancy Caroline Buckner Rhame. He married Tera Easley in 1946 and married Jo Dane Autry.
