Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in First Presbyterian Church Chapel with Dr. Jim Bankhead officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. George was born March 29, 1912, in Wilson County, Kan. He graduated from Kansas State College in 1936. His engineering career was with Natural Gas Pipeline Co. George retired in 1974. During World War II, George served as an Army artillery captain in the South Pacific. George was interested in many facets of life. The stock market was his avocation. He enjoyed traveling, reading and gardening. George took great joy in his family. His grandsons describe him as a "nice chap" and "a quality man." He was a well-read role model. In 1936 George married Myrtle Frances Parker, who preceded him in death in 1984. His second wife, Rose Bostik, preceded him in death in 1992. Survivors include four daughters, Elizabeth Brindle of Lincoln, Neb., Arlene Chenoweth of Littleton, Colo., Georgiana Burnett of Sunrise Beach and Diana Ray of Fritch; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Lola married Virgil Lee Thompson on Sept. 18, 1944. They had been married almost 50 years when he passed away on April 15, 1994. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Mrs. Thompson had been a meter maid for the city of Amarillo. Arrangements are by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Robin was born July 14, 1965, in Dallas. She had lived in Amarillo since 2001. She worked in the floral department at United Supermarket on Gem Lake Road at the time of her death. She attended high school in Unionville, Mo., and also Amarillo College. She married Mark Tillman on Feb. 21, 2005, in Amarillo. She loved her job in the floral department at United and she also enjoyed gardening and music. She had a special love for children. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. Robin was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Bolton; her grandfather, Papa Bolton; and her grandmother, Lois Callaway. Survivors include her husband, Mark of Amarillo; a daughter, Stephanie Lynch of Elizabeth, W.
