Survivors include her parents, Seth and Leanne Chittavong of Amarillo; a sister, Karissa Chittavong of Amarillo; and her grandmothers, Sengdao Chittavong of Amarillo and Kim Amousin of Fort Smith, Ark. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Arlene Elizabeth Lacy Arlene Elizabeth Lacy, 82, of Amarillo died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007. Arlene was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Michigan. She attended the University of Michigan where she received her master's degree in history. She worked on her graduate degree while attending Oxford University in England. She worked as a legal secretary in Kansas City and later moved to Amarillo where she worked in her family's restaurant. Arlene enjoyed listening to classical music, reading mystery novels and knitting, but her greatest joy was her two cats, Samantha and Charlie. She touched many lives at Jan Werner Adult Day Care, where she had attended for the past year, and will be greatly missed by all her friends. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Norman Dale Prickett Norman Dale Prickett, 79, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Norman was born April 10, 1927, in Amarillo to Jewell Hester Kemp and Olin Tyson Prickett. After attending school in Seagraves and graduating from Odessa High School in 1946, he returned to Amarillo and enrolled in engineering courses at Amarillo College. Over the years he was employed with Wilson Battery, Clowe & Cowan and Diamond Shamrock. He retired from Mason & Hanger Pantex Plant as assistant purchasing manager. Norman was an avid golfer and fisherman. He felt his greatest honor was being elected elder of Memorial Presbyterian Church in San Augustine. He married Lorene Collinsworth in 1952 in Amarillo, and Linda Haigood Forsyth in 1983 in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Etta Prickett; and two sisters, Billie Ruth Prickett and Lois Donoghue. Survivors include his wife, Linda; three children, Darla Andrew and husband Michael and Tandy Wayne Prickett, all of Amarillo, and Carol Johnson of Colorado; two stepsons, Robert Forsyth of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jason Forsyth of Amarillo; and a nephew, Jim Donoghue and wife Prudie of Houston. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Minerva was born Aug. 19, 1920, in Southmayle, Grayson County, the second child of three girls born to Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Brune. She moved to Whitesboro when she was 8 years old and attended grade and high school while living there. She worked many years as a beautician, then later worked in a pharmacy as a technician and bookkeeper and retired in 1984. Minerva married George E. Law on June 28, 1964, and was a member of St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Amarillo. Minerva was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 11, 2005. Mrs. Whitten was a sports player, going to state for basketball in her high school years. After high school she bowled and played golf. Mrs. Whitten and her husband were active in the Allegro Motor Home Club, where Mrs. Whitten served as the club's photographer. She was employed by Blue Morrow, Ted Lokey Oil Co. and The Canyons Retirement Community. The son of Valente and Guenova Tenorio, he was born March 24, 1916, in Eagle Pass. During his life, he played professional baseball, worked for Richter's Bakery (Butter Krust), and excelled in real estate transactions. Blas loved playing baseball with the Eagle Pass Eagles; he turned professional in 1939, playing for El Formidable Equipo Carta Blanca in Monterrey, Mexico, and in 1940 joined the Amarillo Gold Sox team for three years. Being placed in the Mexican Hall of Fame was one of his most cherished memories. Those whose lives he touched will certainly be changed forever. He celebrated his 65th wedding anniversary with his wife, Esperanza Moreno Tenorio, in March, before her passing in June.
