Beal Billy E. Beal, 72, of Amarillo died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Hillside Christian Church with Mike Nuthman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Lipscomb Cemetery in Lipscomb by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Beal was born Feb. 16, 1934, in Utica, Okla., to Charles and Minnie Beal. He married his best friend and the love of his life, Shirley Laurie Beal, on Aug. 6, 1977. Bill was employed as a plumber, owning and operating Billco Plumbing for many years. He loved sharing the outdoors with family and friends and was a longtime member of Panhandle Boat and Ski Club. He was a member of Hillside Christian Church, the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union and was a voting member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Bill was an Army veteran, serving from 1957 to 1959. Bill had a strong faith in God and a love for his family and his country that was reflected in all he did and said. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; his parents; five brothers; and a sister. Survivors Bill leaves include four daughters, Cindy Jenkins and husband Ted of Victoria, Gayle Phillips and husband Mike and Debbie Green, all of Amarillo, and Laurie Levitt and husband Mike of Clinton, Okla.; a son, David Beal and wife Lynn of Amarillo; a brother, Earl Beal of Amarillo; two sisters, Ethel Cookson and husband Art of Amarillo and Ruby Brewer of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Interstate 40. Mrs. Dixson was born July 21, 1921, in Honey Grove to Wiley and Miami Wilson Wilkins. She married Gordon Eugene Dixson on May 29, 1939, in Honey Grove. Berniece was the youngest of 13 children. She was retired from Levi Strauss. She was an accomplished quilter on the Bivins Memorial Nursing Home quilting team. She was a longtime librarian at Second Baptist Church, a Sunday school teacher, nursery worker, maintenance worker, officer in WMU, member of Good News Bearers and a member of the KAK choir. She was also a volunteer for the RSVP program in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Eugene Dixson, in 1956; a daughter, Pat Burdett, in September 2006; a grandchild, Shonci Lynn Hanna, in 1972; a great-grandchild, Channing Jade Rice, in 2005; and 12 brothers and sisters. Survivors include a son, Bill Dixson and wife Lana; two daughters, Sandra Hanna and husband Gary and Kim Brawley and husband Richard; a son-in-law, Richard Burdett; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great- great-grandchildren. He was a member and director of the Hansford County Farm Bureau and a director of the Texas Farm Bureau. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren. And he loved the soil. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis. Mrs. Morrison was born March 22, 1915, in Nederland to the late Sam H. Brown and Ida Biffle Brown. In 1922, she moved from south Texas to Lakeview, where she attended grammar school. She graduated from Memphis High School and married W.C. "Buster" Morrison on June 6, 1936, in Quanah. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1977. Mrs. Morrison enjoyed quilting and traveling. Over the years, she traveled across the United States and toured Europe. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Memphis and was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Katie Belle Wells.
