Mrs. Lavender was born in Duncan, Okla., to Dave and Christine Roberts. She had lived in Amarillo for over 50 years. She had been employed by numerous financial institutions in the area. Mrs. Lavender's first love was raising her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, J.D. Jack was a member of First Christian Church. He married Jane Hertel on May 24. 1974, in Atlantic, Iowa. He was a member and director of the Hansford County Farm Bureau and a director of the Texas Farm Bureau. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren. And he loved the soil. She was owner/operator of Sparkey's Pilot Escort Service for five years. She was a member of Xi Omega Zeta of Sunray and the Red Hat Society of Sapulpa. Leona was a former longtime resident of Moore County and a member of First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Robertson; and a brother, Jack Martin. She graduated from Quanah High School in 1969. She attended Lubbock Christian University, where she met a dashing pilot, Dudley McNeill. They were married on June 4, 1971. She received her bachelors in English from West Texas State University in 1973. They lived in the Wayside Community and were members of the University Church of Christ in Canyon. She was a homemaker, devoted mother and loving wife. She was dear to many hearts. Lola enjoyed cooking and taking care of her children. She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She married Isaac Tobias Jr. on Nov. 10, 1941, in Scott City, Kan. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jose Tobias; three grandchildren, Steven Ray Louthan, Toby Tobias Jr. and Garrett Eslick; and a great- granddaughter.
