Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Rose Chapel Funeral Service with the Rev. Damon Akins officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow. Mr. Criswell was born Aug. 1, 1930, in Sayre to Nancy and Elmer Albert Criswell. He married Dottie Cockrell on May 24, 1953, in Cushing. Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary Michael Criswell of Thomas; two stepgrandchildren; a sister, Florene Walker of Wheeler, Texas; and a brother, J.M. Criswell of Rowlett, Texas. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amarillo Alta J. Hendrickson Alta J. Hendrickson, 80, of Amarillo died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Family Life Fellowship Church with Dale Travis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Alta was born June 25, 1926, in Colorado City and spent most of her early years on a farm in Silver. She married Lawrence Hendrickson on Sept. 25, 1942, and they resided in Amarillo for many years. While in Amarillo, Alta worked for Dr. William Anthony until her retirement in 1991. She enjoyed fishing, and did so at Spence Lake every October for several years. Alta also enjoyed reading the newspaper, and was a longtime member of the Baptist church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Linda Gore; six sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include three daughters, Alice Grant and husband Winford, Barbara Harrison and husband Larry and Peggy Gore and husband Gene, all of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wayland Marcum Wayland Marcum, 75, of Amarillo died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Marcum was born Jan. 31, 1932, in Parnell to Joe and Lilan "Tid" Marcum. He graduated from Estelline High School. He married Edith Compton on Nov. 12, 1950, in Memphis, and they moved to Amarillo that same year. His life revolved around his family. He loved baseball and coached his boys on Kids, Inc., YMCA and American Legion baseball teams. He was very supportive of his grandchildren and their sporting endeavors. He raised and raced thoroughbreds for 15 years. He enjoyed political discussions and debates, always proud to represent the Democratic point of view. He was a member of Saint Stephen United Methodist Church. He worked in the automobile industry for many years. He retired from Ray Jones Chevrolet in 1994. The family would like to express their appreciation to BSA Hospital for all their care and help. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Wanda Jo; and a grandson, Jacob. Mrs. Siling was born Oct. 2, 1957, in Dodge City, Kan., to Kenneth and Irene Ellis. She was a graduate of South Plains College with a degree in performing arts. Kimberly married Bob Siling on Dec. 27, 2005. She loved to ride motorcycles and collected exotic birds as pets. She loved the outdoors and planted and cared for trees at her home. Mrs. Siling was devoted to her grandchildren and always took time to talk openly and candidly with children. She was a great mom. She was preceded in death by husband C.L. No services are scheduled. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Sam was born Jan. 18, 1946, in Amarillo to S.B. and Francis Whittenburg. He was a hunter and an outdoorsman. He loved cooking, skiing and working with tools. He always said that he was "a dog in men's clothing." Sam was loyal to friends and family. Ms. Prock was a member of the DAVA, Trinity United Methodist Church and of the Christian Friendship Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her father, James A. Prock, on July 13, 1998. Born in Tulia on June 18, 1934, Ray graduated from Dumas High School, attended Texas Tech University and graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor's degree in business. Upon graduation, he served in the U.S. Army. In 1962, Ray received his master's degree in business from West Texas State University, where he graduated magna cum laude. Ray taught at West Texas State University for 25 years in the School of Business. He loved helping students and always tried to counsel them through the tough decisions they faced while attending the university. Ray served on many councils and boards while teaching at WT. His love for the university and its students was obvious to everyone. Ray had a passion for music, especially playing the piano. He spent many days and hours writing music and playing the piano. Ray had many friends throughout the community of Dumas. The employees of Wal- Mart, Scott's Pharmacy, Bank of America and United Supermarkets were very close and dear to him. His wife, Ina, was the love of Ray's life. They shared the best relationship imaginable. Love, dedication, caring, affection, commitment and best friends are words that best describe their marriage. Ina was Ray's most precious friend. The bond between Ray and his son, Merritt, was very special. Not only a father and son, but also they were the best of friends. Ray loved and cherished his sister and brothers more than they ever knew. She was a teacher for 30 years in Oklahoma and Texas. She earned her Master of Education and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
