Osage St. Mr. Henville married Udonna Denise Sinks on July 16, 1966, in La Junta, Colo. He was a ham radio operator since the age of 15. He was recognized with an MIA Certificate by the FCC in Washington. God was first in life and everything else came second. He was a loving husband and father. He was a member of Mescalero Baptist Church. She was an expert seamstress, who loved tending the flowers in her garden and the company of people and animals. She and her husband were active in their church before their health declined. They loved to bowl. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Percy "Perk" Parish, in October 2000; and a son, Wayne Parish, in September 2006. Mr. Staats was born Feb. 12, 1945, in Montague County to Arthur and Ora Staats. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Jones Oleta V. Jones, 78, of Amarillo died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in University Church of Christ in Canyon with David Lough, Bob Shephard and Glen Walton officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Oleta was born Aug. 22, 1928, in San Antonio to Samuel Luther Kirkpatrick and Belle Logan Kirkpatrick. At the age of 12 she was diagnosed with osteomyelitis. She spent many years in hospitals and wheelchairs and on crutches with her loving Mother always by her side. She married Marshall M. Deaton in 1949 and they made their home in Amarillo. They were blessed with a daughter, Marsha Dianne, on Nov. 5, 1952. Mr. Deaton passed away in 1956. On Oct. 3, 1958, Oleta walked down the aisle to be joined in marriage with the love of her life, Sherman Lee "Dusty" Jones. After years of praying for a handicapped child, since they were both handicapped, God answered their prayers and they adopted LeeDon, who was born March 18, 1962. They showered him with an abundance of love and care. He passed away July 4, 2005, at the age of 43. They wanted more children and they adopted Teena, 5, and Kristi, 2, on LeeDon's 12th birthday in 1974. Oleta was a member of the Amarillo Indoor Sports Club, a club for the physically handicapped, for 48 years. She was also a member of the American Ex-Prisoners of War for 24 years. She was a Church of Christ member for more than 60 years, enjoying the fellowship of University Church of Christ in Canyon since 1980. She was a shining example for all and will be deeply missed by all that were blessed to have her in their lives. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Marsha Eastep and Brad Krob of Atwood, Kan., Teena Jones of Amarillo and Kristi Mills and husband Rick of Canyon; eight grandchildren, Trayce and Mike McKinley, Amy Burris, Trevi Eastep, Lance Eastep, Justin Jordan, Dallas and Dakota Steinke and Trista Jones; and four great-grandchildren, Gage Lankas, Katon McKinley, Megan Burris and Kanyon McKinley. He joined the U.S. Army in 1941 and served in World War II before being discharged in 1946. He married Maxine Conley on Nov. 14, 1945, in Brownwood. They moved to Amarillo in 1952 from Santa Anna. Myron worked for Pioneer Natural Gas Co. from 1952 until his retirement in 1982. He was a charter member of Fairlane Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. Mrs. Coffman was born March 23, 1921, in Antlers, Okla., to Herbert and Grace King. She married "Slim" Coffman on Sept. 11, 1940, in Antlers. He worked for SPS on system construction and retired from the Amarillo Northeast Service Center after 35 years. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Grace Roberts, Gertrude Miller and Ada Masterson. She had been a resident of White Deer since 1913, moving to Panhandle five years ago. She attended school in the Belle community southeast of White Deer and was a graduate of White Deer High School. She married Telesfor Frank "Tel" Haiduk on Oct. 20, 1931. He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1987. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Martha Warminski; a son, Richard Haiduk, on July 14, 2006; and a sister, Jean Wyatt, on Oct. 5, 2002. Mr. Heckman was born June 14, 1929, in Clarendon to George and Annie Mae Karnes Heckman. He spent most of his early life working on the JA Ranch and attended Clarendon schools. He then served in the U.S. Army in Korea, where he was awarded two Bronze Stars. After discharge from the Army, he attended Clarendon College. He was employed at Pantex for 36½ years before his retirement in 1994. He married Emily Taylor Kirkland on April 17, 1981, in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Debbie Heckman; a sister, Leola Gilmore; and a brother, Cecil Heckman.
