Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Charlie Cox officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Earlean was born March 29, 1924, in Neosho Falls, Kan., and spent the majority of her life in Amarillo. She was a very hard worker, and did so for several years at Nest Fresh Egg Co. until her retirement. Earlean was well-loved and leaves many to cherish her memories. Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Bybee and wife Kathy of Benton, Kan., and Ronnie Bybee and wife Rhonda of Amarillo; a daughter, Judy Bumgarner of Amarillo; two brothers, Charlie and Jimmy Wescoat, both of Wichita, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Perry was born in Seymour, but lived in Amarillo the majority of her life. She married M.E. Winberg in 1927. He passed away in 1951. She then married W.F. Perry in 1964. He passed away in 1991. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and her family was her life. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Curtis Winberg, in 1933, and Max Winberg in 2001; two sisters; and two brothers. Lindley on Sept. 21, 1984, in Amarillo. She retired from the state of Texas. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marvin and Lillie Beck; her father, Walter Dobbs; and her stepfather, Frank Williams. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Air Force Military Honor Guard. Robert Alva "Bob" Irish of Granbury, formerly of Amarillo, was born Dec. 26, 1917, to Mary Elsie McVey Irish and Robert Augustus Irish in Edwards County, Ill. He lived in Illinois before moving to Amarillo. He married Evelyn Brunson on April 27, 1941, in Maplewood, Ind. Mr. Irish served in the U.S. Air Force from Sept. 11, 1940, until July 31, 1961. He served during World War II and the Korean conflict and retired as a master sergeant in 1961. After his military career he was employed at Pantex for 12 years. He was a lifetime member of NCOA (noncommissioned officers association). He was a Master Mason at Amarillo Lodge No. 731. Bob was for God and country all the way, very devoted to his beliefs. He was an avid golfer for most of his adult life, and a scratch golfer for several years. He took pride in teaching golf to his grandson, who has made golf a passion of his own. After his retirement from Pantex, he became an accomplished fisherman. This is the reason for living first on Lake Falcon and finally on Lake Granbury. He loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Miriam Virginia Irish; and a brother, Harley Alan Irish. Survivors include two children, Carol Carroll and husband Kenneth of Amarillo and Robert W. Georgia St. Norma Jean McDaniels Davis, the daughter of Della Mae Pitts McDaniels and Perry Lee "Mac" McDaniels, was born Sept. 27, 1930, in Amarillo. She began a lifelong quest for learning at St. Mary's Academy, continued at Horace Mann School and Amarillo High School and graduated from San Luis Obispo Poly Technological High School. She attended San Jacinto College in Deer Park, Amarillo College and graduated with a degree in English from West Texas State University. She continued her education occasionally taking graduate classes with one of her daughters and avidly reading throughout her life. Norma eloped to Clovis, N.M., with her high school sweetheart, Wesley Baker Davis, on July 28, 1948. They were the proud parents of three daughters, Donna, Darla and Deanie. Norma enjoyed being a wife and mother. When friends complained about never having time alone to run errands or just think, Norma often joked that she would drive straight home from work and pick up her girls to go shopping or run errands. Her favorite thing to do was watch the girls skate. Over the years, Norma enjoyed working for the city of Amarillo, Great Southern Life Insurance Co. and Southwestern Public Service. However, in 1959, Norma and Wes opened Davis Plumbing. They moved to the Houston area in 1968. Norma worked for Petro-Tex Chemical and Decker-McKim Realty. When they returned to Amarillo, they reopened the plumbing company and initiated a plumbing repair store, The Plumb Line. Retiring, the couple moved to Broaddus on Lake Sam Rayburn. They began RVing and enjoyed traveling together. They spent winters in the Texas Valley square dancing, loved to watch the Cubs at spring training and summered in New Mexico. They returned to Amarillo in 2003. Always active, Norma served as president of the San Augustine County Extension Club. Traveling the world with her daughters, she taught them to appreciate its diverse cultures, but her favorite place was the British Museum in London. Norma and Wes square danced with Dudes and Janes, Hi Plains Promenaders and Plus One square dance clubs in Amarillo. She enjoyed working in her yard, reading and playing games. She played bridge with the Wednesday Bridge Club, but her favorite pastime was playing Scrabble with her children. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Amarillo. Survivors include her husband of nearly 59 years, Wesley Baker Davis; three daughters, Donna Kerr and husband Ronnie, Darla Mueller and husband Cecil and Deanie Davis, all of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Pip Combs and husband Andy of Rockwall, Lori Law and husband Greg of Colorado Springs, Colo., Kean Kerr and wife Chalice of Fort Worth, Katy Melo and husband Nelson of LaPorte and Kenny Mueller of Mineral Wells; seven great-grandchildren, April Combs of College Station, Alan Combs of Rockwall, Clayton Wesley, Ronald Joe, McKean Perry and Jarod Antonio Melo, all of LaPorte, and Nicholas Ryan Kerr of Fort Worth; an aunt, Billie West and husband Clovis of Clarendon; a sister-in-law, Essie Yandell and husband Leslie of Lubbock; two special nephews, Dennis Lee Morrison and wife Shawnda and Steve Davis of Amarillo; and a special niece, Sharon Bach of Longview. Hughes St. Velma Jean Ragsdale was born Feb. 27, 1928, in Vernon. She attended public schools in Vernon. She was an Amarillo resident for 60 years. She was a faithful member of Johnson Chapel AME Church for more than 40 years. Survivors include a son, John Ragsdale and wife Janet of Houston; a daughter, Kristal Cunningham of Amarillo; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six nephews; and a niece. Mr. Blount took pride in his work and his friends and loved them all. He served our country in the armed forces in Japan and Korea with great pride and served again in the U. S. Treasury for 35 years as an attorney. Mrs. Darsey was born Oct. 16, 1933, to John Frank Wright Sr. and Pearlie Bostick Wright in Masterson and spent her early years at the Bivins Booster Plant. Lyda was a founding member of the American Chuck Wagon Association and served on its original board. Lyda and Les were feared and successful chuck wagon cook-off competitors and won the 2002 American Cowboy Culture Chuck Wagon Award and the 1998 Academy of Western Arts Award for Chuck Wagon of the Year in addition to numerous chuck wagon cook-offs in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas and Arizona. Lyda was an excellent cook and "guarded" her award-winning recipes fiercely and always said, "she would rather talk about her sex life than give out her recipes." Lyda loved living on the ranch and cooking for the cowboys, and the only thing she loved better than cooking was dancing with Les. She will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. Lyda was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Pearlie Wright; her first husband, Bobby Frank Davis; a grandson, Kerry James Abbott; and her mother-in- law, Edna Darsey. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the National Veterans Cemetery in Dallas by Parker- Ashworth Funeral Home. Brac Biggers was born Sept. 12, 1925, in Lockney. He grew up in McLean, Sudan and Lubbock, where he became an Eagle Scout and graduated from Lubbock High School. He served in the Navy and returned to Texas Tech where he graduated with a BS-EE degree in 1948. Brac joined Southwestern Public Service Co., where he had a 31-year career starting in Plainview, where he met his wife, Dorothy. They were married in 1952 and later moved to Floydada. In 1956 they transferred to Borger, where he became district manager and among other civic activities was president of the Chamber of Commerce. He was active in First Baptist Church of Borger, where he was ordained a deacon. In 1970 the family moved to Amarillo where he became division manager. He remained active in civic work and was twice president of Amarillo Chamber of Commerce. During his stint, Amarillo lured several relocations including the AQHA. He was active in First Baptist Church of Amarillo and also earned his MBA in finance from WTSU. He was always proud and fond of his Texas Panhandle roots and background and was an avid Texas Tech fan until the end. In 1980 he became an electric utility consultant for NRECA where he worked in Egypt, Yemen, Bangladesh and Barbados. He and Dorothy traveled the world from these vantage points, fulfilling a lifelong dream. In 1991 he retired to Terrell, where he had 15 wonderful years and remained active until the end. In June 2006 he was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and died quietly in his home on Feb. 11, 2007. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Dorothy; Curt and Lana Biggers of Dallas, Blair and Kathi Biggers of Rockwall, Brac Jr. "Chip" and Denise Biggers of San Antonio; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mary Lou Kelly GENTRY, Ark. - Mary Lou Kelly, 91, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, in West Siloam Springs, Okla.
