No services are planned. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Duane was born and raised in Amarillo. He was employed with BNSF for 34 years. He graduated from Caprock High School in 1965, where he played baseball and football. His favorite pastime was the love of his classic car, and the old classic car shows. He was a loving husband, one who enjoyed traveling to warm and sunny places. He enjoyed the opportunity to watch his grandchildren fulfill their love of sports. He also cherished the love of his only sibling, Gene Gore, and his "lil grandson," who called him "Papee." He was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Peggy Gore. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Gore; a brother, Gene Gore of Amarillo; two sons, Kenny Gore and Andrew Roberts, both of Amarillo; three daughters, Terri Stringer and Jennifer Roberts, both of Amarillo, and Cristi Hillock of Elmgrove; and nine grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lynda Ratliff Ham Lynda Ratliff Ham, 57, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007. Lynda was born Aug. 11, 1949, in Pampa. She married Richard Ham on July 22, 2002, in Amarillo. She worked at Polk Street Methodist Child Development Center as a teacher's aide and was a member of First Baptist Church in Miami. Mrs. Holland was born Nov. 24, 1958, to Ernest and Violet Jackson in Amarillo. She loved cats and fish. Mrs. Holland was a member of Trinity Fellowship. Survivors include a son, Brandon Holland of Amarillo; a sister, Rosa Elkins of Amarillo; two brothers, Ricky and Tom Jackson of Houston; her father, Ernest Jackson of Amarillo; and a nephew, Gerald Barnes of Amarillo. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dolly McNeill Dolly McNeill, 83, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with the Rev. James McNeill, Mrs. McNeill's grandson, officiating. Dolly was born June 16, 1923, in Oklahoma, and grew up in Hollis, Okla. She married L.B. McNeill in February 1941. Together they lived in Wellington for 21 years, and later moved to Amarillo in 1970. While residing in Amarillo, she worked for IBP until her retirement. Dolly enjoyed reading, gardening and watching Larry King on television. Her family held a very special place in her heart, and she enjoyed helping them in any way she could. Dolly's caring and compassionate personality will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a son, Kenneth McNeill. Survivors include a son, Dennis McNeill and wife Nancy of Boys Ranch; three daughters, Rosanne Kelly and husband Michael, Alana Wynell Olguine and Crystal Barnes, all of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. The family will be at 6507 Tilden Court. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Peggy Masterson Stinnett Peggy Masterson Stinnett, 100, of Amarillo died Monday, Feb. 12, 2007. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Clifton A. Mann officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. At the time of Mrs. Stinnett's birth, her parents, pioneer cattleman Robert Benjamin Masterson Jr. and wife Laura Tumlin Masterson, had been living on a ranch in northwest King County. She was born on June 10, 1906, in Sulfur Springs at the home of her maternal grandparents. In the spring of 1913 she and her family moved from the King County ranch to one just north of the Canadian River in Potter County. Although they later built a home in Amarillo, those formative years ingrained Mrs. Stinnett's love of horses and cattle and the sights, sounds, perspective and pace of the country. Peggy graduated with honors from Amarillo High in 1924. She attended Ward- Belmont College in Nashville, Tenn., and The Finch School in New York City. Love came to Peggy in the person of Beaumont Stinnett, also of Amarillo, who had returned home after graduation from the University of Texas. They were married in her parents' home, at 1619 S. Tyler St., in 1927. Mrs. Stinnett grew up in a Christian home, but in a day when distance and travel by horse and buggy made weekly church attendance difficult. She learned her basic knowledge of the Bible from her mother - the daughter of a Baptist minister. From the time of her marriage she was a devoted member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. She maintained her childhood faith in her Lord and savior to the end. Peggy was a charter member of the Junior League of Amarillo. In the rearing of her three children she was involved with those activities and organizations which time would permit a mother of three with an eye toward the activities on the ranch. She was named to the Amarillo High Sandies Hall of Fame in 1985. She was preceded in death by her husband, Beaumont, on Dec. 14, 1974; her brother, Bennett; and her beloved son, Ben. Survivors include two daughters, six grandchildren, and 14 great- grandchildren. These include daughters, Laurel Emmett of Amarillo, mother of Wayne Stinnett Dammier and wife Mary Kay, whose two children are Laurel Catherine and Jordan Wayne, and Victoria Dammier Haile, whose three children are Megen Blackburn, Walter Benjamin Masterson Blackburn and Ashley Haile, and Sidney Boyce and husband John Jr. of Amarillo and their four sons. Eldest is John K. Boyce III, wife Vicki and daughter Olivia Leighton Stinnett. Next is Beaumont Stinnett Boyce, wife Ainslee and children Carol-Sidney Curtis, Beaumont Stinnett Jr., George Lindsey and Mary-Claire Masterson. Third son is Peter Masterson Boyce, wife Maureen and their children, Anna Eliza, Samuel Masterson and Molly Maureen. Mrs. Rossi was a longtime resident of Amarillo and a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church. She served for many years as a volunteer at St. Anthony's Hospice. Todd, 66, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Believers Chapel. Arrangements are by Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home. Sybil R. Todd was born April 8, 1940, in Amarillo. She succumbed to complications from pancreatic cancer on Feb. 13, 2007. Sybil was a lifelong educator. She secured her undergraduate degree at West Texas State University, and received her master's degree and doctorate from Arizona State University. Sybil taught in public school prior to serving at the University of Virginia for 23 years. While there she was a member of the teaching faculty, assistant and associate dean. Dr. Todd also served as vice president at the University of Utah, University of Houston and the University of Alabama Tuscaloosa. In 1988-90 Sybil was selected as an American Council Education Fellow. She spent the year at Rhodes College and National Collegiate Athletic Association. She retired from higher education in 2003 and worked with Wisteria Catalog Co. until just recently. Sybil was preceded in death by her parents, T.C. and Rowena Todd; a sister, Mary Ann Palmer and Hoyte Palmer. Survivors include her siblings, Clif Todd, Gordon Todd and Norma Lockett; seven nieces, Pam Redus, Paula Black, Teri Carter, Lark Cooper, April Harwood, Tracy Winters and Alicia Long; a nephew, Todd Palmer; 12 great-nieces; three great-nephews; a great-great-niece; and a great-great-nephew. Celebration of life services were at 10:15 a.m. Sunday in Poplar and Warner Church of Christ in Guthrie. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Road Church of Christ in Edmond. Mr. King's body has been donated to the Willed Body Program at OU Medical Center. Mr. King was born Oct. 21, 1956, in Jacksboro, Texas, to Merle and Oneida Hayhurst King. He obeyed the gospel at the early age of 9 while living in Dekalb, Ill. Karl graduated from high school in Azle, Texas, in 1975. While attending Oklahoma Christian he met Darla Simmons and married her on Aug. 26, 1977, in Lindsey. He graduated in 1978 with a B.S. in Bible. For 30 years, Karl served the Churches of Christ in Texas, Oklahoma, Costa Rica and Mexico. He was a pulpit minister for Poplar and Warner Church of Christ in Guthrie at the time of his death. Karl also served his community as a member of Kiwanis International. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his father-in-law, C.R. "Jack" Simmons. She married Cullen Williams on Dec. 27, 1934, and later married Tom Riddle in 1992. Survivors include five children, J.C. Savard was born March 23, 1920, in North Conway, N.H. to Ledorique and Laura Rouleau Savard. He attended Sacred Heart School in Weymouth, Mass., seminary in North Dartmouth, Mass., Notre Dame University in South Bend, Ind., and Holy Cross College in Washington, D.C. Survivors include a sister, Beatrice Moore of Houston; and a brother, Ledorique Savard of Norridgewok, Maine. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canyon Johannah Dorothy Miller Kuykendall Johannah Dorothy Miller Kuykendall, 90, formerly of Canyon, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, in Durham, N.C. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Holley Funeral Home Chapel with Carl McCutchan officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon. Arrangements are by Holley Funeral Home. Johannah was born March 12, 1916, in Happy to William Frederick and Clara Thum Miller. She graduated from Happy High School, attended West Texas State College in Canyon and married Conway Ellison Kuykendall on June 3, 1936. They were married for 59 years before his death in 1996. Johannah lived her entire life in the Happy and Canyon area until moving to Durham in 2001 to be near her daughter. Johannah was well-known for her ability as an accomplished pianist, playing mostly "by ear" with an enthusiastic and upbeat style from a repertoire of more than 500 songs. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Happy, where she began playing the piano for worship at the age of 12, and continued in that service for 25 years. Through the years, she played the piano for numerous weddings, funerals and civic functions. Johannah loved her family and enjoyed entertaining friends and extended family. She was a wonderful homemaker, cook, seamstress, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. Besides rearing a family, she worked for many years as a bookkeeper for the Canyon Independent School District tax office. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Dr. Claire Miller of Waco, Winfield Miller of Canyon, Willard Miller of Perryton and Gene Miller of Amarillo; and three sisters, Gladys Bates of Long Beach, Calif., Muriel McCutchan of Eufaula, Okla., and Edith "Sweetie" Johnson of Happy.
