Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Channing Cemetery in Channing with Chad King pastor of First Baptist Church in Silverton officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St. Mr. Ahearn was born March 11, 1948, in Massachusetts. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and worked in maintenance at Affiliated Foods. He married Alta Ahearn on March 11, 1989. She preceded him in death in 2006. Survivors include two daughters, Callie Chirchirillo of O'Fallon, Mo., and Barbara Ahearn of Silverton; two grandchildren, Jacob Chirchirillo and Cady Chirchirillo, both of O'Fallon; and a dear friend, Alice Temple. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Johnathan Mast, pastor of Hillside Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Darla was born Dec. 13, 1941, in Amarillo. She attended Amarillo High School, where she was a varsity cheerleader. Diane graduated from Amarillo High School in 1960 and attended the University of Texas in Austin. She then moved back to Amarillo, where she met and married her husband of 42 years, Wayne B. Barfield, a prominent local attorney. Diane gave birth to her son, W. Brooks Barfield Jr., on June 25, 1965. Her daughter, Berkeley Ann Barfield-Bobbora, was born three years later on Oct. 17, 1968. Diane continued to reside in Amarillo where she excelled in providing a loving home for her husband and two children. Diane was a devoted, loving, wife, mother, and grandmother. Diane loved two main things in this world, kids and dogs. It is fitting that God decided to bring her home on Valentine's Day, because she was one of the most caring and generous people a person could have the pleasure to meet. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Ruth Russell; and her father, Cyrus Aubrey Russell. Survivors include her husband; her children; a brother, Dr. David Russell; a son-in-law, Guy Bobbora; a daughter-in-law, Jonna Barfield; and five grandchildren, Brock, Brielle, Brooks, Mason and Madison. Mr. Hunnicutt was born July 21, 1929, in Hedley, Texas, to Thomas Lawson and Bessie Sylvania Harvey Hunnicutt. On Dec. 21, 1956, he married Margaret Virginia Webb in Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Hunnicutt attended West Texas State University and was a claim superintendent for State Farm Insurance for 31 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Hunnicutt, in 2005; and two daughters, Tami Hemsoth in 1999, and Vicky Hunnicutt in 1980. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Cecilia Nell Hill was born Feb. 16, 1939, in Lutie to Alonzo and Gladys Cartwright. As a young child, the family moved to Wellington, where she attended school and graduated from Wellington High School in 1957. Cecilia went to Amarillo and attended Draughon's Business College. She married Bobby M. Hill on March 23, 1967, in Amarillo. They moved to Texline in 1969 and lived and worked on the Shamburger Ranch for Bob's family. In 1980, Bob and Cecilia moved to Spearman, where they currently resided. They have four children and nine grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved them so much and they LOVED their Nanna. She enjoyed getting together with old friends from high school and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She wasn't happy unless everyone around her was taken care of before herself. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ralph Neil Cartwright; a sister-in-law, Jackie Cartwright; and two brothers-in-law, Jay Bryan and Curtis Wyatt. David was a member of Central Baptist Church, and he loved helping with the Boy Scout camp in Wheeler. He was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Ferguson Jones. Verna was born May 23, 1912, to James Henry Dean and Annie Mae Nations Dean in Plainview. She married Roswell Flower Alexander on Aug. 4, 1945, in Plainview. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for SPS more than 30 years. She joined as a Pink Lady and served every Thursday for more than 20 years. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church, where she was a charter member of the Wesley Sunday School Class. She was also a charter member of the Hale County Historical Commission, which she joined in 1971. She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Densel Dean, W.H. "Bill" Dean, John B. Dean, Irvin "Heavy" Dean, Tom Dean, Charles "Chock" Dean and Orville "Putts" Dean; and a sister, Vera Dean Wofford.
