Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. today in Primera Iglesia Bautista Jerusalem. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the church with Graham Harvey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Bustoz was born June 1, 1938, in Seguin to Juan and Audencia Bustoz. He married Angela Saldivar on June 21, 1958, in Post. They were married 48 years. He worked 16 years for Gilvin and Terrell and 26 years for DePauw Construction. He enjoyed baseball and watching his sons and grandsons play baseball. He loved to sing and whistle. Mr. Bustoz was a deacon at Primera Iglesia Bautista Jerusalem. Survivors include his wife, Angela Bustoz; a daughter, Bertha "B" Hernandez and husband Henry of Amarillo; two sons, Joe Bustoz and wife Paige and Michael Bustoz and wife Leslie, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Pauline Carrasco and Loy Perez, both of Lubbock; four brothers, Paul Bustoz of Amarillo, Juan Bustoz Jr. of Lubbock, Lee Bustoz of Gretna, La., and Ernie Bustoz of El Paso; seven grandchildren, Sonya, Israel, Gary, Mike, Jordan, Jase, Jamye and Jessica; and four great-grandsons. Collier, 83, of Amarillo died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Richards officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Newton, Kan. Arrangements are by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. George was born March 5, 1923, in Florence, Kan., to Thomas and Rachel Collier. He graduated from Newton High School in 1941. He joined the U.S. Navy during World War II serving in Bougainville, New Georgia, Treasury Island and the Russell Islands. Later, he served in the Naval Reserve during the Korean War. After the war, George married Pearl Schroeder on Aug. 29, 1947. They moved to Amarillo where he worked for Santa Fe Railway. He completed his machinist apprenticeship in Albuquerque, N.M., and later worked for Texaco Refinery until his retirement. He was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Methodist Men. George was a kind and wonderful man, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife; and a brother, Walt Collier. Survivors include a daughter, Candace Collier of Amarillo; two nieces, Beth Wonders of Newton and Dawn Schroeder of Kiezer, Ore.; and two nephews, Tom Collier of Newton and Brad Schroeder of Bloomington, Ind. Mrs. Hodges was born Dec. 3, 1935, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, was raised there and was a graduate of Sherbrooke High School. She married Bill Hodges on Oct. 17, 1969, in Las Vegas. They moved to Amarillo in 1974 from Ogden, Utah. She was a flight instructor and instrument instructor on single-engine and multi-engine aircraft for many years. She was a commercial pilot for Baker & Taylor Drilling Co. for more than ten years. She owned and operated Tradewind Flight School for 10 years. She sold the school in 2005 and has served as general manager and operator of the school for the past two years. She was a past member and served as chapter chairman of the Ninety Nines Women's Pilot Association, an international women's aviation association. She flew the Powder Puff Derby, a transcontinental airplane race, in the 1970s. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Janet Edwards. He had been a boat mechanic and member of Logan Church of Christ in Logan, N.M. He was a veteran in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Green married Virginia Kennedy on Feb. 11, 2000, in Logan. Services will be in Kearney, N.J. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery in Kearney. Mrs. Malinowski was born June 29, 1921, in Harrison, N.J., to Edward and Stephanie Mieczkowski. She married John Malinowski on Nov. 7, 1943, in Harrison. She was a homemaker until she went to work as a clerk at Otis Elevator. She retired after more then 20 years of employment. After retirement, she and her husband moved to Toms River, N.J. The family then moved to Amarillo in 2004 to be close to family. A talented seamstress, she loved to sew and also enjoyed ceramics and needlework. Mrs. Malinowski attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Napolitano; a son, John Richard Malinowski; and her husband, John, on Jan. 11, 2007. Survivors include a daughter, Lorraine Mettham and husband Dan of Amarillo; a sister, Henrietta Sudziarski of Toms River; three grandchildren, Tammy Owens and husband Dave, Philip Mettham and Andrew Mettham; and a great-grandson, Jack Owens. Mike had many hobbies which included photography, riding motorcycles, bull riding, hang gliding, restoring Corvettes and old hot rods, hunting, playing guitar and riding jet skis. He was also a big fan of NASCAR and Texas Tech and Dallas Cowboys football. He was preceded in death by a special uncle, Jerry Tilton.
