Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Wood-Dunning Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart officiating. Mrs. Baker was born Sept. 24, 1927, in Acme, Pa., to Clark and Charlotte Brothers Kinneer. She was a registered nurse since 1947 and came to Hale Center Hospital in 1948 as a surgical nurse. Survivors include a son, Nathaniel Thomas Baker IV of Spring; and two brothers, Clyde Kinneer and Gary Kinneer, both of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Ramsey was born May 27, 1919, in Denton to W.J. and Rosa Belle Rhodes. She married Frank Lee Ramsey on June 30, 1936. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Clyde Terry was born Feb. 28, 1935, in Borger and had lived there all his life. He married Betty Pullen on Aug. 9, 1953, in Calvary Baptist Church in Borger. He was co-owner of Clyde and Scottys Gulf Station for 33 years. He was a deacon and volunteer song leader at Keeler Baptist Church. Clyde also delivered Meals on Wheels. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hank Terry; and a brother, Scotty Terry. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael- Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Dallas was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. She was born on Aug. 30, 1939, in New Boston to Arthur Buford Adams and Mary Elba Newsom Adams. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1965. She married Kevo Earl Dallas on Dec. 28, 1957 in Olton. She was a secretary for The Electric Supply for 10 years, a bookkeeper for Earl's Engraving for 25 years and a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing at Rainbow Lake, square dancing, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her father; three brothers; and a sister. Lorene Judy was born Aug. 12, 1915, in Cooke County. She married Nolan Judy on June 30, 1936, in Gainesville. They moved to Panhandle from Cook County in July of 1936. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Panhandle and loved to paint, quilt, and crochet. She also loved her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Nolan on Nov. 12, 1996; a sister; and four brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Bobbie J. Wilhite of Amarillo and Ava J. Ayers Sr. James D. "J.D." Ayers Sr., 77, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Llano Cemetery with John Elser, chaplain of the Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center, officiating. Military honors will be by the Fort Sam Houston Honor Guard. A second memorial service will be in Alaska at a later date. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Ayers was born Dec. 26, 1929, in Lefors to Wayland and Ruby Ayers. He was raised in McLean and Alanreed. Mr. Ayers married Louise Preston in 1947. In 1951, he married Annie Ruth Chapman. Mr. Ayers joined the Army in 1950. He served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. His military career spanned more than 20 years. He entered the Army as a cook and advanced to other positions. He retired in 1972 at Fort Richardson, Alaska, as a microwave technician. After his retirement from the Army, he worked for the Alyeska Pipeline Service Co., retiring in 1991. After his retirement in 1991, he lived in Texas during the winter and in Alaska during the summer, where he enjoyed halibut fishing and spending time with his special friends. Mr. Ayers raised registered beagles; all 18 were very special to him and a few even traveled to Alaska with him. He was a Church of Christ member. Mr. Ayers was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, in 1999; his parents; a sister; and two brothers. Survivors include his daughter, Kaye Baucom of Amarillo; two sons, David Ayers and Chap Ayers, both of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren; and many friends and other family. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeal Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mrs. Davis has been a lifelong resident of Amarillo. She married B.J. Davis on Nov. 14, 1980, in Amarillo. She was a foundation of love and inspiration to her family and to the many others that knew her. At the Davis home, there was no such thing as a stranger. Her door and her heart were open to anyone that needed a shoulder to lean on. Diane enjoyed bowling with her family on the team Static Potential and was very proud of having scored a 300, the perfect game. She will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Charles Gregory Elliott. He worked for Wheelabrator Coal Service for ten years as well as United Plumbing before becoming a Boilermaker. Jarrod loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, rock music and cooking. Mr. Thomson was born May 12, 1935, in Tolbert to Dr. Hubert and Mrs. Carmen Thomson. He married Nancy Kay Dewey on April 15, 1966 in Amarillo. He graduated from West Texas State University with a bachelor of science degree in 1957. He taught physical education and health at Lawndale Elementary School for 35 years. He was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church and Wesley Workers Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Glenn Thomson and Carlton Thomson. Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Melonye Curtis died in the early hours of Feb. 22, 2007. She was born Nov. 14, 1936, in Fort Worth to J.D. and Mildred Lowe. She grew up in Jacksonville and attended Jacksonville schools. She entered The University of Texas at age 17 and graduated with a B.A. degree in education. Later, while teaching and raising her family, she received her master's degree in education in early childhood from Texas Woman's University. After her graduation from The University of Texas, she married Terry A. "Booty" Curtis and moved to Amarillo. Melonye's career course was directed by her love for young children. Her teaching career began in Austin, and she later taught in Amarillo. She was instrumental at Amarillo's Opportunity School by helping in every way from teaching to driving the school bus. In 1979, she started her career at Amarillo College in the Early Child Development Program. She retired as professor from AC after 26 years. She developed many innovative new programs and methods which are still in use today at Amarillo College and other early childhood programs around the state. She was named professor emeritus at Amarillo College in 2006, a proud accomplishment for Melonye and her family. Although her calling was for young children, her greatest passion was for her family, her hundreds of friends and her beloved dogs, Luke and Gracie. Melonye and Terry were married for 49 years and have one daughter and one son. She was blessed with two grandchildren, who adored their "Mammy." Melonye had many interests and affiliations. Modesty limits the inclusion of all accomplishments and accolades that she received throughout her lifetime. Melonye was always an advocate for the underdog and underprivileged and spent countless hours as a volunteer for many organizations that needed her enthusiasm and expertise. The impact she had on so many lives over the years was as far-reaching as the sky, and now Melonye sits on a rainbow. Survivors include her husband, Terry A. Curtis; a daughter, Caytie Martin; a son-in-law, Barry Martin; a son, Tom Curtis; and two grandchildren, Chad and Channing Martin. Mr. Dillard was born Nov. 29, 1924, in Oden, Ark., to Lon and Mamie Lee Crittenden Dillard. He married Virginia Detten on April 11, 1950, in Amarillo. Mr. Dillard was an avid sports fanatic who played semi-pro baseball for the Amarillo Gold Sox. He was a diligent provider for his family and a dedicated family man. He served his country in World War II in the Navy Air Corps. He was preceded in death by a son, David on July 4, 1964.
