"Bill" Anderson William F. "Bill" Anderson, 87, of Amarillo died Saturday, March 3, 2007. Burial was in Llano Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Anderson served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and earned the Victory Medal. He was the owner of Southwestern Store Fixture Co. in Amarillo for many years. Survivors include his wife, Hope Wagnon Anderson of Amarillo; a daughter; Diane Apeland of Amarillo; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Raymond Dickson Sr. Raymond Dickson Sr., 61, of Amarillo died Tuesday, March 6, 2007. He was a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University where he obtained his bachelor's degree. He also taught for 29 years in the public school system. Born in Palestine and raised in Arkansas, Grace was the eldest child of Arthur and Jessie Parkhill of North Little Rock, Ark. Grace lived and died as a committed Christian. Her active, productive life included 37 years as co-manager of her PGA husband's golf business, followed by 26 years as a founder and active volunteer of two hometown community service organizations. To these two efforts she brought perseverance, a positive attitude and the servant attitude she displayed to her family. Most people who encountered her tell of her warm spirit and desire for something good to happen to them. Her close ones have lost a special lady, a vital force for good and her creator can greet her with "well done." She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Joseph F. Houck, in 1981; two brothers, Marvin Parkhill and Claude Parkhill; and a sister, Ruth Skinner. Mr. Williams was born Oct. 30, 1925, in Hooker, Okla., to Lena and Billy Williams. He was a lifelong member of the Methodist church, having been baptized as a youngster, and was always active in the church. He graduated in 1943 from Central High School in Oklahoma City, where he lettered in tennis and worked in printing. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy from May 1943 until May 1946. Mr. Williams graduated from the Missouri School of Mines (now University of Missouri, Rolla) with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering in 1950. He married Mary E. Williams on Sept. 22, 1946, in Oklahoma City. Mr. Williams lived mostly in Texas (Lubbock and Amarillo) where he was engaged in the building business and was the founder and owner of Liberty Building Co. in Lubbock. He retired to Possum Kingdom Lake for bass fishing and later to Lake Graham. He and Mary moved to Wichita Falls in the fall of 2005. Mr. Williams enjoyed fishing, watching football and baseball and was an avid reader and computer info searcher. He was active in his church, especially in the Anniversary Sunday School Class and the Food Pantry Ministry. He also mentored in the Graham and Wichita Falls ISDs and was active in the fitness program and other activities at Rolling Meadows. Mr. Williams loved doing things with his family and was so proud of his children and grandchildren.
